I took mass amounts of cipro and levaquin. I have all over the body stinging for 3 years, heart pounding, terrors, I feel I am going to rip my skin off.. I feel so altered.. I also have tiny crystals all over my hands like glitter.. morgellans? If anyone has the all over the body stinging which feels like you are in a bag of hornets. heart pounding and terrors please write me..I am only hanging on by a thread.
Im traveling in mexico and got pretty sick (my best guess is it was 'Travelers Diarrhea' or maybe food poisioning) I went to the pharmacy and got 500mg Cipro pills. I took one and got a horrible headache and vomitted alot. My symptoms seem to be gone however would it be a bad idea to stop taking the Cipro? I know people say you should always finish a course of antibiotics but in this case I dont know if I need them.
Also, I am being treated with Cipro, which I just took a round of that for a UT about 2.5 months ago. Should I be repeating the same antibotic so soon, and will it be as effective if I do.
I took 1 dose of 500mg Cipro Friday night at 5:30p.m. Immediately felt flushed and red in the face.
I continue to have flare ups 3 days later. How long does this take to go away.

I have problems with UTI and kidney infections on a regular basis. I have been on Cipro on and off since 1994. Cipro has allways worked very well for me. I have not experienced side effects from this drug. I have had other antibiotics prescribed to me that did have some negative side effects. In my case Sulfa drugs causes hives.
From 1994 up to 2003, I used to come down with UTI and kidney infections that required hospitalizations with a frequency of about every 3 to 4 months.
Yes Cipro can definately cause rythm issues. I cant remember where I read this but my doctor was going to give it to me until I showed him the info (that he did not have himself). So yes---In fact--since you brought it up--I have a new group called side effects of medications. Feel free to post your side effects there.
is it safe to take 125 mg of cipro each day for 6 months I was prescribed this for a UTI that keeps coming back. Also the pharmacy that filled the prescription gave me 250mg tablets and told me they aren't made in 125mg. and for me to break in half . But the info that comes with the meds says not to break.crush, or chew.
Please get a complete hormone panel ESH, LH, estrogen, progesterone and see if there is an imbalance. Hormone replacement therapy will help. With metal toxicity, certain chelating agents are given which bind with the metal and remove them from the body. Normal detox diet will not take care of that. It basically increases the antioxidants in the body.

Engaged in brief unprotected vaginal intercourse for no more than a couple of minutes. No ejaculation. Went to ER doc and he prescribed one 500 mg Cipro and a 14 day course of doxycycline. And I talked him into a PEP regimine which I only took 3 tablets then became scared of the toxicity and stopped. The ER doc said they don't usually even prescribe PEP for this sort of concern.
Since then I have been having some odd symptoms.
3 weeks ago I was prescribed Ciproflaxcin for a prostatsis, I took the Cipro for about a week and a half when I about 5 days into the prescription I began to experience major burning pain in my muscles, joints, and neck. After day 9 the pain was unbearable so I stopped and three days later went to the ER for treatment, I told them I had a bad reaction to the Cipro so they changed my prescription to Bactrim which almost immediately dropped my pain level from a level of 8 to a 2 on a 1-10 scale.
If someone has a history of UTI's and has no health insurance, why won't a doctor give a patient a refill? Why do I have to pay anywhere between $100 - $200 to go to the bathroom in a cup to confirm what I already know is true because I have had UTI's many times before. For two days i took some Keflex twice a day that I had left over. It wasnt helping , I found a bottle of cipro I had left over and I took one. Thats it. I have had really bad issues with walking, now requiring a can, for about a year. Diagnosed with Spinal Stenosis. It's gotten so bad that I started doing research. I have been doing 5-day energy shots daily for 6 months now - about 40mg of B6 per day (was doing emergen-c's before that). I am having all of the symptoms related to B6 toxicity. I do not take vitamin supplements and have a healthy diet. What can cause me to have such a high b6 level if I am not taking supplements? My doctor asked me to give him a month to figure it out but I am in pain and want some answers.
I have been diagnosed with B6 toxicity. My doctor said that exercise would be good because it would speed metabolism. However, I'm concerned about doing what is best to heal my nerves. Since walking makes my feel hurt, throb, and twitch, I'm guessing that walking would actually hurt the healing process, not help. What has everyone else's experience been with healing from B6 toxicity and exercise? Do you think exercise helps or hinders the healing process?
