I was 5 weeks at that point. I took a full 7 day treatment cycle 500 mg. Now I am doing my research and I am scared about what I'm reading. Is it going to hurt my baby??
is it safe to take 125 mg of cipro each day for 6 months I was prescribed this for a UTI that keeps coming back. Also the pharmacy that filled the prescription gave me 250mg tablets and told me they aren't made in 125mg. and for me to break in half . But the info that comes with the meds says not to break.crush, or chew.
I do no have the money to go to the vet for at least a week and in the meantime i have cipro 250mg ,my cat weights15 lb I need to know how much i can give my baby(lover)I have called every where but i cant get a straight answer ,I just do not want to hurt the cat.I have 4 250 mg cipro have heard1 to 2 mg per lb and also 65 mg please help my cat is so very unconfortable.I have had cats and almost every other kind of animal in my long life PLEASE HELP ASAP help help help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was given Cipro for possible salmonella, and am concerned about all of the side effects I have been reading about. Is this a safe drug? I woke up with anxiety and some stiffness this morning, and am scared it's going to get worse. Please help.
I have read about overgrowth and did take cipro 500 mg daily for 5 days and came out of being so weak I could hardly walk episode!..the dr said just try and it helped..thank you! I know taking antibiotics when no fever or culture sounds questionable but it did help a few months ago.....I am in pain a lot but when I am really weak..I wonder if something else is going on..
Went to urologist who took urine to culture and put me on Cipro. Ill feeling went away before starting the Cipro but burning got much worse. Several days in got itching and some mild soreness in my anus and one week in got what looks like conjunctivitis. There is no penile discharge but I'm 11 days into the Cipro and no significant improvement in the burning when peeing or my eyes. Three days ago urologist sent me for another urine sample, this time first pee of the morning.
Doctor thought it might be prosthititis. Took Cipro for 14 days. No change in symptoms. Went on Azythromiacin for 5 day dose. No real change in symptoms. I finished the Azythro, although I know that it continues to work for a few days and I went back to the Dr. this weekend. Dr. took a urine sample and it came back negative for bacteria; culture was also negative. This morning, I peed on the home UTI stick and it was positive (Positive leukocytes and negative nitrites).
I was given cipro 500 mg twice a day for a sinus infection. After completing the prescription, I still had a sinus infection and ended up in the ER with an upper respiratory tract infection and gastritis. I now have an equilibrium problem to go along with the upper respiratory infection and the gastritis. I don't know what to do st this point. Too afraid to take anything. I am Male 42, from Pakistan I had unprotected sex vaginal and slight anal penetration once (big mistake ) with a sex worker on 27 Sept 13, on 29 Sept I felt severe itching in my groins and irritation in anus. I took 750 mg Azithromycin 29 sept night followed by 250 mg Azithromycin with 400 mg cefixime on 30 Sept morning. I waited for 24 hours The symptoms didn't resolve rather I started having severe irritation after peeing.
I was having some stomach irritation and loose stool, and after consuming some lactose and fructose heavy food at a conference, my bloating returned and my IBS was worse than it was prior to the antibiotics. I then took a course of Cipro, 100 mg twice daily for a week. I also took Xifaxan simultaneously for the IBS 500 mg 3 times daily for 10 days. The Cipro seemed to help the joint pain but the two compounded the GI symptoms.
I went to the doctor the very next day and he thought it could be gonorrhea, although the discharge was there only one time and I had no test. He gave me a single 500 mg dose of ciprofloxacin and doxycicline 100 mg twice a day for seven days and told me to come again in two weeks to be tested.I did and, and then, he asked for an urine and a sperm culture, which results were negative. But after a couple of days the discomfort grew and I started to feel pain in my testicles.
I took 200mg doxycyline ando 500 MG azythromicin. I had a genersl urine test done on monday. It came out clean. That same Say I took 1000 MG Cipro, which I repeated today. I don't have other symptoms, just they pain. Could it just be anxiety? What std could I have? What should I do now? The pain is still there. Thanks.
I have been taking 500 mg cipro twice a day assuming it was urethritis or uti. While i am a bit better i am still not 100% normal after 3 days on cipro. Do i need to look at something like gono or chlamydia? I was sure it was not an std because even my oral was protected. No discharge yet. Pls help.
I'm being treated with 500 mg of Cipro 2 x daily for a UTI (Klebsiella o. in small amt). It's time for my CEA after Stage IIIB C/C in 2009 and a small (1.5 cm) liver met removed by HR in April 2012 making me Stage IVa. CEA has run between 2.4 and 3.1 (Labcorp) and even with the liver met, never went above 6.4. PET/CT w/o and CEA have shown me to be NED since HR with 80% of my liver removed due to location and clear margins. No chemo follow up.
Prescribed 500 mg. Cipro twice daily for 10 days with a follow up visit with a Urologist and GYN. Urologist visit negative for any other issues other than UTI - remain on medication and return in 6 wks if pain continues. GYN visit negative for any issues. Pain subsided 5th day on Cipro, but returned on 8th day. Currently on the 9th day of medication. New symptom - throwing up on the 7th, 8th and 9th day.
every six hours or bactrim/septra DS twice per day. Third choice would be Cipro 250 mg.- 500 mg twice a day. amoxacillin is the least preferred as the bacteria in the urine are most likely to be resistant to it of all of these. I would treat for no more than three days. If she is pregnant, then the amoxacillin is the least likely to harm the baby and Cipro the most. Without urinary frequency in small amounts and getting up at night she may well have something besides a UTI.
Lastly, I am taking 80 mg of furmoside and 10 mg of ameloride. My understanding is that 5 mg of amelioride is equiv to 25 mg of spirolactone. If this is the case then the proportion is wrong and it would seem with my refractive ascites (which has caused herniation and a collapsed lower left lung lobe) it would need to be increased.
I saw a description on a web page using the description of looking like a partially scrambled egg and that is what it really looked like, not really streaked but kind of mixed. Now I have been on 500 mg Cipro for 4 of 7 days prescribed but still am coughing up same type of blood mixture. Am I just not allowing the medicine to work long enough or should I be contacting my doctor?
