is it safe to take 125 mg of cipro each day for 6 months I was prescribed this for a UTI that keeps coming back. Also the pharmacy that filled the prescription gave me 250mg tablets and told me they aren't made in 125mg. and for me to break in half . But the info that comes with the meds says not to break.crush, or chew.
Yes Cipro can definately cause rythm issues. I cant remember where I read this but my doctor was going to give it to me until I showed him the info (that he did not have himself). 3 weeks ago I was prescribed Ciproflaxcin for a prostatsis, I took the Cipro for about a week and a half when I about 5 days into the prescription I began to experience major burning pain in my muscles, joints, and neck. After day 9 the pain was unbearable so I stopped and three days later went to the ER for treatment, I told them I had a bad reaction to the Cipro so they changed my prescription to Bactrim which almost immediately dropped my pain level from a level of 8 to a 2 on a 1-10 scale.
I have a sinus infection and my doctor prescribed Cipro on Wednesday. I was unable to get it filled until Thursday, during which time the infection seemed to spread to my lungs. Since then, I have taken it regularly and been very careful about what times I take it. Instead of getting any better, I seem to be getting sicker. How long should I give the Cipro before calling the doctor?
Recently I’ve been diagnosed with acute prostatits and was prescribed Ciproflaxcn to cure it. A week and a half into taking the antibiotic I began to feel burning muscle pain as well as neck and joint pain. I also had my appetite killed with Cipro I really didn’t eat in that period. Prior to this I had none of these symptoms and when I stopped taking Cipro and started taking the bactrim the pains I had originally were reduced by a large amount.
i contracted orchitis within 3 day after feeling testicle pains and got 7 day cipro treatment.after two weeks I was feeling muscle pains,nausea,weak I went back to the doctor he gave me doxycline 100mg and cipro 500mg that s for chalymadia and gonoreah.4 weeks now I still feeling muscle pain,discomfort sleeping...Could it be HIV infection

I did not have one palpitation while having a very difficult birth 2 years prior to these illnesses, nor at any other time before that in my life. Then after the infections and the Cipro (along with other antibiotics) my heart started to palp. I partly blame the antibiotics on this, however I can't prove this or be 100 % sure, just a feeling.
If it is prescribed for 7 days, you take all doses for those 7 days. Here is why. Bacteria is SMART. You half treat it with only a half course of antibiotics . . . that bacteria probably is still there in undetectable amounts and it starts to morph and change so that the antibiotics become ineffective. This is why we have drug resistance to antibiotics. It's a scary thing and at some point, we will run out of options to treat infections because of it.
My doctor gave me antifungal creme and said it looked like a secondary skin infection probably from the gym, the creme did not help. I went to a new doctor who gave me cipro and it went away almost over night. After that though my scrotum has a few red blotches and my penis is more red. Shortly after I developed a clear discharge from my penis. I got scared, got tested and took a Z-pack. I came back negative for everything but symptoms persisted.
Im traveling in mexico and got pretty sick (my best guess is it was 'Travelers Diarrhea' or maybe food poisioning) I went to the pharmacy and got 500mg Cipro pills. I took one and got a horrible headache and vomitted alot. My symptoms seem to be gone however would it be a bad idea to stop taking the Cipro? I know people say you should always finish a course of antibiotics but in this case I dont know if I need them.
Also, I am being treated with Cipro, which I just took a round of that for a UT about 2.5 months ago. Should I be repeating the same antibotic so soon, and will it be as effective if I do.
I took 1 dose of 500mg Cipro Friday night at 5:30p.m. Immediately felt flushed and red in the face.
I continue to have flare ups 3 days later. How long does this take to go away.
