Metoprolol should be taken with food or just after a meal. A Toprol XL tablet can be divided in half if your doctor has told you to do so. The half tablet should be swallowed whole, without chewing or crushing. Chewing or crushing the pill could cause too much of the drug to be released at one time.
is it safe to take 125 mg of cipro each day for 6 months I was prescribed this for a UTI that keeps coming back. Also the pharmacy that filled the prescription gave me 250mg tablets and told me they aren't made in 125mg. and for me to break in half . But the info that comes with the meds says not to break.crush, or chew.
I've had some suggestions to cut the pills in half, but I have capsules, not tablets and they cannot be cut in half.
What should I do??
I have to say I had the same problem with Ciprofloxacin. It made my heart palps worse and also made me seriously dizzy. So much so that when stopping my car and getting out it felt like I was still driving. I took 3 days of a 5 day course and on doctors advice was told to stop.
If they offer you Nitrofur-C after that then please be careful as I had a lung reaction to it and couldn't stop coughing.
Yes, my pill can be split in half. I don't have a pill spliter, so I am wondering if I can use a knife to cut it. I already cut it actually and it split right in half. My pill has a "divit" like a divider already so it cut very easily.
I went to the ER 5 times and was prescribed 3 different antibiotics and given antibiotics in house for STDs that came back with a negative result. In early November, I had a UTI and was given Cipro for 3 days. That did not help. I went back and they gave me Cipro for 10 days. That did not help. Then they gave me Levaquin for 7 days. I finished all of the antibiotics but I am still experiencing flank pain (upper abdominal, lower pelvic area, and upper and lower back).
I took a 500 mg pill of cipro about two days after the incident. I live in California and in the Bay Area, I have heard that it is not not to effective against gonnorhea.
From reading one of Dr. HH's post, a throat culture is not that realible of detecting gonnorhea of the throat. I have also read that saliva makes it hard to transmitt gonnorhea via oral, but it does happen.
I’m still experiencing some pain daily and I’m wondering if it’s the Cipro still affecting my body or is it is it something else? Prior to taking Cipro I had bouts of numbness in my right arm and leg as well as yearly severe chest congestion but after it seems like all my prior conditions got worse. How can I fix this?
Metoprolol 25 mg. Does it make a difference in what I'm taking, wether I can cut in half or not? The PA knows what I am taking and he told me just to cut it.
I spoke to my doctor today. He said I just need to take the 75mcg synthroid and the 25 mcg of cytomel. in two months he will check my blood. I don't think I will do that! I will still cut my doses of synthroid and cytomel. i cut the 75 in 1/2. and the cytomel, which i might say is almost impossible to cut even, in 1/4. so i am getting 37.5 of synthroid and 6.25 mcg of cytomel. Does that seem about right? with my t4 being 1.
With one pill a day I assume that they are extended release pills and would definitely not mess with them!
a month and a half ago, I had protected sex with a stranger then a week later I had unprotected ORAL sex with another stranger. Two days after the oral sex I was masturbating and I started getting a slight pain in the tip of my penis. The next couple days I started having frequency of urination and a lower abdominal pain. I went to a CVs minute clinic where they confirmed and prescribed me 14 days(28) cipro antibiotic pills. After finishing the prescription I had pain in ny penis both erect and flaccid. Sometimes severe when erect. My penis rapidly took on a 90 degree upward curve that and I now have Peyronie's. Was it the cipro that caused the Peyronie's? And since this progressed so rapidly is there a better chance of reversing it. Before this my penis was perfectly straight.

In fact no it can not I went to GU doctor yesterday after tested negative for chlaymida and gonherea while on cipro he's answer to me was ciprofloaxcin can not cure sti it could only cause a false positive not s negative because it does not cure the infection . pls vience and need advise 0615 do not use false answers !!
