Hi I also have klebsiella pneumonia 4 plus. 2 weeks of cipro, came back a week later. Again 2 weeks of cipro came back again. How long should I stay on the antibiotic? I don't notice any relief until the 10th or11th day of the antibiotic. What do you think? Distention in stomach, burping, constipation gets horrible.
I'm being treated with 500 mg of Cipro 2 x daily for a UTI (Klebsiella o. in small amt). It's time for my CEA after Stage IIIB C/C in 2009 and a small (1.5 cm) liver met removed by HR in April 2012 making me Stage IVa. CEA has run between 2.4 and 3.1 (Labcorp) and even with the liver met, never went above 6.4. PET/CT w/o and CEA have shown me to be NED since HR with 80% of my liver removed due to location and clear margins. No chemo follow up.
I get itchy spots on my jawline from touching my face and they clear up very quickly with Gold Bond Powder. I also will get one 'hive' if elastic is rubbing on my skin or a tag on a shirt is hard or poking me. I have anxiety quite bad at times and take Klonopin for that. Yesterday only took it at 6 a.m. until I panicked after reading about Klebsiella.
Yesterday my urine culture came back with a small amount of Klebsiella and doctor ordered Cipro. I'm allergic to Sulfa drugs.

Hello - I am 59 and have atrophic vaginitis. There is an area in the (introitus?) that has almost no skin covering due to the thinning tissue. It burns terribly all the time. I have had numerous vaginal infections over the past few months including gardnerella, a yeast inf., & 2 cultures showed large amounts of enterococcus faecalis & klebsiella.
Went back for another urine culture, this time it came back Klebsiella. Took Cipro for 10 days and started diflucan on day 5 of that in case it caused a yeast infection. I'm still having the same stinging pain! I saw my OB again yesterday, had STD tests done again and a urine culture. Waiting on those results... I'm so stressed and I'm not sure what this could be and am resulting to asking others if they've had anything similar? Could this be herpes?
So, he must be thinking of one of the drugs that are in the same class that work on Klebsiella. Also, for a cold (not the flu) zinc lozenges will help inactivate it.
I've been breaking out for 2 years now around my mouth/chin with these painful pimples. They start out red and then they form this ugly either white or yellow head that is sometimes really big. Some are puss filled! They always look very irritated and red at the base and just hurt really bad. Furthermore, there is a tingling/burning sensation before, during, and after they visits my face.

Hi I have recently diagnosed with Klebsiella pneumoniae in vaginal infection. I had a vaginal delivery 10 months back with a very bad tear and it took 6 months to heal and was fine for 3 months and after that I was diagnosed with vaginal pus on the vaginal wall stuture and the pus was drained and the pus culture report says the bacteria is Klebsiella pneumoniae I am worry ied how it could caused and for recurrence? Now I am have two more small boils near the wall.
Tongue c/s report suggests,klebsiella species,Heavy growth.Then was on Antibiotics for 5 weeks but I still have klebsiella,white coating&red dots all ovr my toungue.I've few swollen lymph nodes in my groin & neck since then.After 2 months of exposure, got tested for Hep-B&HSV1&2(-ve) along with Oral Thrush (Candida), Interim report is negative. I couldn't gather courage to test HIV.
Worries:
1. Are my ARS symptoms for real? If not, what are the exact symptoms?

I have an overgrowth of +4 Klebsiella in my bowels and i cannot find a way to get rid of it! I have been on antibiotics now for 15 days and don't feel any different. I have just been treated for Candida and Blastocystis Hominis which i can happily say i don't have anymore. But i still have symptoms from the Klebsiella, Can someone help?
Thank you for responding to my question. It has been 12 days since I had root canal on #14. Took Cipro for 7 days. I'm still feeling lpain/discomfort on #14 and try not to chew on that side of mouth. How long does it for root canal to heal? Can and do root canal fail? What are symptoms of failed root canal. At the time of root canal Endodonist put temporary filled on crown. I have appoint with regular dentist for permanent filling in a week.
That liquid like ball is edema and depending on how large it is and that it is on the throat, a drain my be necessary. As for the Cipro....there are some very serious risk factors. If your pet has any of the MANY risk factors, giving Cipro can be deadly to your dog. If your pet is under 2 years old (assuming by the weight he is a medium or large breed)....do NOT under any circumstance give Cipro.
Please please take your dog to the vet so he is properly treated in a safe and humane way.
The doctor said it is definitely bacterial conjunctivitis and he did a culture. It is klebsiella. I have had this in my eyes for a year and half. The tissues around my eyes have been destroyed. One eye droops now. I am going to see a different opthalmologist.
I have not had a chance to speak to him since I got the test results - he had just called-in a 10 day prescription of Cipro for me to take to resolve the issue. I do feel better now but the tingling is still there and the nasal congestion has not totally left.
I believe this is either a bacterial infection (possibly MRSA) or Candida/Yeast. I am leaning towards the bacterial infection.
The one problem I still have besides for the tingling scrotum area is that when I eat sugars, breads, etc...
2 weeks later i did a sputum test which showed I had klebsiella oxytoca infection as well as pseudonomas aeruginosa. They treated me with cetamadine iv for 7 days and 10 days of doxycycline (oral). The klebsiella was gone but pseudonomas remained. They then put in a pic line and gave me 3 daily doses of gentamyacin , and 10 days of zosyn . ( zosyn ran for 20 hrs per day and genta for 1hr) .

2 months i had Unprotected Oral with one Girl (acquaintance). AFter 1 week i felt some itch in Testicals then it was normal.. After 1 and 1/2 months i day i was not able to pee then after visiting my GP i was diagnosed with Bladder infection then he treated me & it was fine utill i got itch on Penis Tip with some needle pains in penis. then i was tested for ALL STD'd in cluding HIV everything was normal.

Saw my doctor because terrible irritation in penis tip, sore testicles and having to urinate all night. No burning when I pee or discharge but significant pain at tip. Doctor did first catch urine test; neg for leuk & nitrates, said it could be prostatis so he gave me 7 days of Cipro. Had a minor surgery a few days later so did not take it. The next week it got even worse, so went to urologist. Same symptoms but worse. Dr. asked if it could be std, I told him I doubt it...
