you were given cipro for a cough? cipro has side effects you should contact your doctor since you're experiencing symptoms and they can give you somehting else, you shouldn't continue taking something that you're having a bad reaction to... I'm not a doctor and you should consult yours for further direction.

fever, sweating, dry cough dizziness, and fatigue, most symptoms generally lasted for a week, I showed my doctor a –one month old- urine test that showed bacteria, he prescribed Cipro., during the treatment, one morning after taking the Cipro, I vomited and felt better, after which I noticed what seemed like thrush on the middle of my tongue, I have taken antibiotics before which never caused thrush..
I saw a description on a web page using the description of looking like a partially scrambled egg and that is what it really looked like, not really streaked but kind of mixed. Now I have been on 500 mg Cipro for 4 of 7 days prescribed but still am coughing up same type of blood mixture. Am I just not allowing the medicine to work long enough or should I be contacting my doctor?
Last year I had it so bad i could not stop to even sleep and thats when i took the cipro/avalox along with a cough suppresent. OTC cough suppresents do not work and the only cough suppresent that seems to help has codiene in it (Yes, and trying to tell a doctor this never gets you it since they believe you are addicted somehow). I have no history of allergies to pollen or any environmental factors and have only recently aquired the illness in the past year and a half.
Thank you for responding to my question. It has been 12 days since I had root canal on #14. Took Cipro for 7 days. I'm still feeling lpain/discomfort on #14 and try not to chew on that side of mouth. How long does it for root canal to heal? Can and do root canal fail? What are symptoms of failed root canal. At the time of root canal Endodonist put temporary filled on crown. I have appoint with regular dentist for permanent filling in a week.
That liquid like ball is edema and depending on how large it is and that it is on the throat, a drain my be necessary. As for the Cipro....there are some very serious risk factors. If your pet has any of the MANY risk factors, giving Cipro can be deadly to your dog. If your pet is under 2 years old (assuming by the weight he is a medium or large breed)....do NOT under any circumstance give Cipro.
Please please take your dog to the vet so he is properly treated in a safe and humane way.

So after a long night of drinking at a club (8.13.11) I happened to black out for a matter of 45 minutes or so. I took a cab home and don't recall much after that until I woke up puking on the side of my bed. The next morning I woke up in panic not recalling the last 45 minutes of the previous night. I had all my personal belongings with me including my money so I'm assuming I didn't pay for sex (unless the cab driver took advantage of the situation). 8.19.

Saw my doctor because terrible irritation in penis tip, sore testicles and having to urinate all night. No burning when I pee or discharge but significant pain at tip. Doctor did first catch urine test; neg for leuk & nitrates, said it could be prostatis so he gave me 7 days of Cipro. Had a minor surgery a few days later so did not take it. The next week it got even worse, so went to urologist. Same symptoms but worse. Dr. asked if it could be std, I told him I doubt it...
I recently tested positive for Ureaplasma Urealyticum and Mycoplasma Hominis, my symptoms are
- Frequent Urination.
- Painful bladder that comes and goes
- Pain in Groin Area
- Tickle in throat that provokes a cough and mostly aggravated with dry Air.
i have tried many different Antibiotics (Minocycline, Doxycycline, Zitromax)
Anyone familiar with this painful infection ? Help ??
Exposure to allergens causes a runny nose with a resultant post nasal drip where secretions from the nose go backward into the throat and irritate causing cough. Cough is a protective mechanism by the body as it helps to prevent infections. You will need to consult your primary care physician for proper clinical assessment. In the meantime for relief from your symptoms you could do warm salt gargles and take OTC antihistamines.

Thank you for responding, Dr Vinod. I actually stopped taking Cipro 10 weeks ago. Things have been progressively getting worse. It started with my achilles and then it continued the other areas of my foot. Tendon ruptures are less common, but tendonitis is extremely common and I personally know of quite a few people now who have this in multiple areas of their bodies. It is so common that there is a Black Box warning for this. Again, thank you for your response.
is it safe to take 125 mg of cipro each day for 6 months I was prescribed this for a UTI that keeps coming back. Also the pharmacy that filled the prescription gave me 250mg tablets and told me they aren't made in 125mg. and for me to break in half . But the info that comes with the meds says not to break.crush, or chew.

I have problems with UTI and kidney infections on a regular basis. I have been on Cipro on and off since 1994. Cipro has allways worked very well for me. I have not experienced side effects from this drug. I have had other antibiotics prescribed to me that did have some negative side effects. In my case Sulfa drugs causes hives.
From 1994 up to 2003, I used to come down with UTI and kidney infections that required hospitalizations with a frequency of about every 3 to 4 months.
I took 1 dose of 500mg Cipro Friday night at 5:30p.m. Immediately felt flushed and red in the face.
I continue to have flare ups 3 days later. How long does this take to go away.
No symptoms at all. The cipro and biaxin were not for stds, they were for a sinus infection. No pain, no discharge. I did get a yeast infection from the antibiotics, and wondered if that could have managed it's way to my urinary tract...but no burning, nothing like that. All of this seemed to be triggered from my masturbating without and ejaculation over the weekend...

Cipro is a fluoroqinalone, and is not the best choice for an intestinal infection. Ordinary over-the-counter pepto bismal would have been more appropriate. Bismuth is a powerful bactricidal agent.
Cipro has many side effects and was not an appropriate. In Mexico, what is labled "Cipro" could be anything from powdered dog dung to flour and insecticide.
