still mild symptoms...followed by 30 days of cipro. My gp followed that with 14 days of bactrim. I drank some beer durning the doxy and cipro...none during the bactrim.
I still have very mild symptoms. My question. After all of the antibiotics, is there still and chance of Chlamydia or other STD? The doctor says no but has never tested because of the antibiotics that I took.
I am 51 white male/non smoker ,have a beer or two most days .I saw an infectious disease specialist for last consults . I had a round of Cipro (2 per day/10 days) ,now the sun is killing me! I feel like a vampire ! I live in North Carolina/no travels outside of state .
stayed 3 days and they did cat scan(radiation) and had me on flagyl and cipro very strong broad spectrum drugs. ever since then i have occasional gut discomfort and diarrhea. lately i seem to have symptoms more often. i went to a gastroenterologist and he suggest limitiing alcohol consumption.. i stopped drinking my beer and drank tons of milk hoping to soothe my stomach..now im worse than ever, bloating, gas, bubbling , diarrhea, stomach pain.
I only recently started drinking beer. Before the holidays, I went out with my wife and got drunk off of beer. While still at the club I noticed that my urine flow was to the point where it was dribbling out. Within minutes when I would have to go back, my urine flow stopped all together and while the sensation that I was urinating was there, no urine flow was present.
Most recently, a few days ago the pain came back after a few days of drinking beer. I was pain free and felt very healthy for the last 2 months until I had a beer. Same pain in the same two areas (groin and testicle). I was given 2 weeks of Doxy today and I am going for another ultrasound tomorrow.
Does anyone have any clue of what this could be?
Im traveling in mexico and got pretty sick (my best guess is it was 'Travelers Diarrhea' or maybe food poisioning) I went to the pharmacy and got 500mg Cipro pills. I took one and got a horrible headache and vomitted alot. My symptoms seem to be gone however would it be a bad idea to stop taking the Cipro? I know people say you should always finish a course of antibiotics but in this case I dont know if I need them.
Also, I am being treated with Cipro, which I just took a round of that for a UT about 2.5 months ago. Should I be repeating the same antibotic so soon, and will it be as effective if I do.
I took 1 dose of 500mg Cipro Friday night at 5:30p.m. Immediately felt flushed and red in the face.
I continue to have flare ups 3 days later. How long does this take to go away.
Do cipro cause vaginal discharge and oder and disconfort in my stomach and back and sluggishness?

I have problems with UTI and kidney infections on a regular basis. I have been on Cipro on and off since 1994. Cipro has allways worked very well for me. I have not experienced side effects from this drug. I have had other antibiotics prescribed to me that did have some negative side effects. In my case Sulfa drugs causes hives.
From 1994 up to 2003, I used to come down with UTI and kidney infections that required hospitalizations with a frequency of about every 3 to 4 months.
Yes Cipro can definately cause rythm issues. I cant remember where I read this but my doctor was going to give it to me until I showed him the info (that he did not have himself). So yes---In fact--since you brought it up--I have a new group called side effects of medications. Feel free to post your side effects there.
is it safe to take 125 mg of cipro each day for 6 months I was prescribed this for a UTI that keeps coming back. Also the pharmacy that filled the prescription gave me 250mg tablets and told me they aren't made in 125mg. and for me to break in half . But the info that comes with the meds says not to break.crush, or chew.
Wine is only okay after your baby is fully developed in the last month not, "here and there" and beer is not okay. I crave beer all the time but I wouldn't drink a small one I mean what's the point you're not gonna get drunk nor buzzed and it'll just go straight to the baby.
Yesterday was sooo hot I just wanted a beer really really bad with a blunt on the side lol but I didn't I stopped cold turkey as soon as I found at I was pregnant it's really tempting but I know my baby comes before my needs now n I want them to be healthy

Well I asked my Dr and he said I beer or glass of wine a week in the first is fine and second trimester 2 a week and third you can have one glass of wine with dinner whenever... I went by those rules last pregnancy and my son is just fine but I know people freak out about all kinds of things so idk... It's up to you..
I had only recently started drinking somewhat, one one day I took one beer, it was a can of 330ml with 6.8percent beer, what are the chances of it causing some memory loss, I remember having protected sex with a girl afterwards, what are the chances that this one beer can could have caused memory loss and that some detail of the event may not be in my memory?
okay, so when I drink any type of Budweiser products my throat closes up and my uvula expands to twice if not three times its normal size... When I first drink the beer I break out in hives and then in the morning the throat things happen.. I just want to know what is causing it because one Smirnoff ice was enough to put me in the er... I am abroad right now so its hard to just go see a doctor.
Ok no, just no. Beer does not help with your supply. Dark beer allows for a faster let down but it has nothing to do with your supply. And the only reason this is, is because it relaxes you more. If you Choose to drink and then breast feed it's completely up to you. But alcohol will go to your newborn.
Went back to my doctor, and she diagnosed a UTI and put me on doxy and Cipro. Took them a few days, but the side and back pain persisted, on and off, in waves. I also became debilitated with extreme fatigue and weakness--i went back to the doctor, and couldn't even fill out a simple form in the office, simply couldn't think or have the energy to write. She sent me to the ER, saying she thought I had a kidney stone.
