cipro and zanaflex

I will be on 4mg at bedtime, and still my baclofen one in the orning, and one at night with the Zoplicone and the Zanaflex..... so, here's hoping that we can sleep longer that 2 or 3 hours at one time without either shaking myself awake, or we have to go to the bathroom, and that also has increased.

What are everyones experiences taking the muscle relaxer zanaflex?

Tell me if you've heard this one before! I have prescriptions for Baclofen, Zanaflex and Flexaril. Since I've recently gone insance and decided to try for pregnancy, I need to get off the Category C drugs. So I stopped taking the Zanaflex (except for the worst spasms) and I'm titrating down on Baclofen. Here's the weird part. When I was taking 6 baclofen a day, I had less pain overall, but I had just as many spasms as I do now.

You start slow, and work up to the dose that relieves your nerve pain. There are some side effects, and some people gain weight on it, but it has helped my fibro and diabetic neuropathy a lot. Is this a GP you are seeing, or a rheumatologist who specialises in fibro? A specialist would be best. Good luck.

s almost like pushing on a fresh bruise. I brushed it off as I do most medical concerns and took a zanaflex and a nap. Upon waking I realized that my face is beginning to become sensitve to touch as well. Is this a reaction to the medicine, the back injury, or something completely different? Should I seek attention?

I have taken Zanaflex off and on the last year and am currently taking it after acdf surgery. It has been the only muscle relaxer that really helps me other than taking valium. I have only taken it for a month at the longest and there were no side effects for me when i had stopped taking it earlier in the year.

Zanaflex is Tizanidine which is used to relieve the spasms and increased muscle tone caused by multiple sclerosis, stroke, or brain or spinal injury. Tizanidine is in a class of medications called skeletal muscle relaxants. It works by slowing action in the brain and nervous system to allow the muscles to relax.

I laid on my side and shoved a heating pad between my butt cheeks and presto....(probably by the time zanaflex and Motrin kicked in as well as my position relieving my pelvic floor from the intrabdominal pressure. I'll tell you...that has to be the most embarassing place to have pain....LOL! Now onto newer issues.... Just got back from my Pulmonologist and he handed me my CTA of chest report: Moderate, bilateral paraseptal emphysema.

I had back surgery, and Zanaflex helps me go to sleep. Was wondering if continuing it while tapering off of Xanax would make it more difficult to get off of Xanax.

Cant walk again. Was ok for 1 and 1/2 weeks and now my legs are all rigid, weak and calves are painful. Never taken zanaflex before, Neurologist just called it in for me. they will decide eventually I guess if this keeps happening that I will need surgery on my neck. I understand Zanaflex given for MS and spinal cord problems, just want to know how it works or if works for anyone taking or who has taken. Well it has definitely made me sleepy thats for sure zzz....

what is the difference between flexaril 10 and zanaflex 4 Is if safe to convert from one to the other?

I have been taking this for about one year! I take 3 at nite to get sleep! And It works and I do get sleep. No nite leg cramps which is the main reason I was put on it in the frist place! So don't be afraid of it just follow the directions and you should be good.

I am being treated for a urinary infections with both antibiotics (Cipro) and antivirals (valtrex) because the cause is unknown. My question is, is it safe to mix both medicines?

How bad is it on my body to abuse zanaflex? I take 10 of the 4 mgs at once and take up to 300 a month. I just can't seem to stop.

I have taken Cipro for Urniary Tract Infections on and off for about 7 years. Last year the frequency of infections was about every 2 months. This winter I have had less than a month between symptoms. My doctor gave me a prescription for Macrobid in case I need it. I have taken it for the first time the past three days and the infection is still quite apparent especially during the night when I can feel the internal discomfort.

I asked my PCP if I could try Zanaflex as I have Fibro also and thought it may help my neck as well. I use Bio Freeze and the Zanaflex and it really seems to be helping the pulling to the right of my neck. Is it be possible to help Cervical Dystonia with a muscle relaxer?

Be careful with using Cipro and other antibiotics and use it only as directed by your Physician. I was misdiagnoised with a urinary tract infection that time showed it wasn't and was prescribed Cipro. This drug and others in its class have a nasty side effect - mine was labral tears of the right shoulder and right hip. My Mother suffers from sinus infections and she has found that her Chiropractor successfully treats her by draining her sinus.

Im traveling in mexico and got pretty sick (my best guess is it was 'Travelers Diarrhea' or maybe food poisioning) I went to the pharmacy and got 500mg Cipro pills. I took one and got a horrible headache and vomitted alot. My symptoms seem to be gone however would it be a bad idea to stop taking the Cipro? I know people say you should always finish a course of antibiotics but in this case I dont know if I need them.

I have taken cipro a lot too and it hasn't bothered me before. But I recently took it and after 1 dose my heart started acting weird. Any antibiotic of that class can cause heart palpitations. Unfortunately, most of the antibiotics I can take have that potential side effect, I'm allergic to penicillin.

Hi, I have problems with UTI and kidney infections on a regular basis. I have been on Cipro on and off since 1994. Cipro has allways worked very well for me. I have not experienced side effects from this drug. I have had other antibiotics prescribed to me that did have some negative side effects. In my case Sulfa drugs causes hives. From 1994 up to 2003, I used to come down with UTI and kidney infections that required hospitalizations with a frequency of about every 3 to 4 months.

I took 1 dose of 500mg Cipro Friday night at 5:30p.m. Immediately felt flushed and red in the face. I continue to have flare ups 3 days later. How long does this take to go away.

is it safe to take 125 mg of cipro each day for 6 months I was prescribed this for a UTI that keeps coming back. Also the pharmacy that filled the prescription gave me 250mg tablets and told me they aren't made in 125mg. and for me to break in half . But the info that comes with the meds says not to break.crush, or chew.
