I really got scared that it might give me an Std or something as my penis got really irritating and leaked thru out the day I was given ciproxen and it went away . Then I was referred to a gastro specialist who gave me Lozal, cipralex 10mg, colofac, and to continue ciproxin for 3 days and after four days I had my endoscopy. I felt terrible due to cipralex and told the doctor who replaced cipralex ( after four days of me using it ) with lexotanil.

Do you see any connections or any further questions I should ask my doctor? I was on cipralex January 2017-November 2017 and have been off it since November. At the same time I stopped taking alesse which I had been on for 10 years without a break. My main concern is that it seems the cipralex messed my metabolism up and I gained 40 lbs very fast, whereas before even if I was eating “bad” I only used to fluctuate 5-10 lbs my whole life.

My doctor has recommended Cipralex (escitalopram) to combat side-effects. I am retreating and at Week 10 of 48 (Genotype 1). I do not have prior experience with this medicine. Has anyone had experience taking this medication. Was there improvement in taking this medication and any side-effects experienced. I look forward to hearing your experiences. Thanks.

What would be your suggestion for how to switch from the Paxil to cipralex? I know that 20mg Paxil equals about 10mg cipralex. What rate would you decrease + increase? Perhaps you could give me a rough outline of how to make the transition? Thanks so much!

Cipralex is an anti-anxiety pill. Escitalopram belongs to the group of medications called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). Since taking Cipralex 10mg daily for one month I have been having constant head pain. Not really a headache but a pain in my head. It will go around my ears, behind my eyes and into my neck. I have told my doctor and he just says not to worry about it but it is not getting better. Anyone else have these same side effects? Also I get pins and needles up and down my arms and legs would this be a side effect? Thanks in advance.

I've been on cipralex 20mg for about 1.5 yrs, before that was on 40mgs of celexa.. I'm 37, about 190lbs 5'7".. I have taken variety of medicines including Dulan, ronirol, tegral, prothyadine, cipralex, epival cr 500, sensival 25 etc. but my problem is still not resolved. During this problem i started walk which increased the problem. However, during walk i feel very normal i.e. no painful burning sensation, i feel. This is important that when i lay down i donot feel pain. I have left using medicines of TB in November 2002 (used without VITA 6), whereas the burning sensation started in May 2007.

Hi all I'm on day 4 taking cipralex after switching from escitalopram my question to you all is my anxiety is getting worse by the day and having to take a zopiclone to sleep at night will my anxiety slowly fade in time as I take the cipralex daily no other side effects to report just the heightened anxiety any info on this would be great Thanks Jessica

I don't know how you were told to take the cipralex, but it is at least probably best to take it in the morning. It's not one you're supposed to get tired of. You might want to read the leaflet of it too. That's always a good idea. I agree on the thyroid test suggested above. That's one of the first things that should be checked, even if not all depression has to be genetic or "run in the family". Have you read here in MedHelp about Depression?

ive been put on cipralex 5mg by my doctor for anxiety. i started wit half tablet (2.5mg) for two weeks and started takin full tablet about a week ago. but for past two mornings hav been waking up with nausea and become very drowsy late afternoon. is it normal for side effects to manifest a full week after takin 5mg tablet?

I took the paroxetine that did well for a while then the cipralex that does not do anything to me is so confused.After that I did insomnia, the doctor giving me the zolpidem which obviously and that made me sick I am very scared.

I feel aweful - very dizzy, confused, heavyness over eyes, bad eyesight, sensitive hearing. Actually many of these symptoms I had before starting Cipralex - my doctor thought Cipralex would help. I also have a history of complicated migraine, I have not taken Sibelium since December 2008. I am wondering if maybe the symptoms I am experiencing are migraine related - and therefore Cipralex is not the answer. Should I be restarted on Sibelium?

i went on cipralex august 2007, and i just went off them 9 days ago, i gained 55 pounds, i was sleeping all the time, didnt have much energy. they helped my panic attacks. now that im off of them im super dizzy ive lost 5 pounds in 9 days, i dont crave bad foods anymore, but i cry a lot, just wondering if it normal to feel so dizzy? and how long does it last for?

I was on Cipralex for a year since losing dad and losing my job. had bad anxiety and insomnia.

375mg the last 2 months I began to go down so i added lexapro/cipralex 5mg every other day, then everyday now. But the last 3 days i have panic and fears. I was cautious with cipralex as it may bring mixed episodes or rapid cycling which in fact didn't occur at all because i am watching myself thoroughly not to exceed any dose. But as i said the last few days in the morning to come out of bed is impossible having great fears and i have to go to work.

Hi I'm currently taking cipralex (antidepressants) for anxiety and panic attacks. Currently I have been feeling a strange electric shock type feeling going through my body. This is usually accompained by pulsing of muscles. I don't think this could be caused by anxiety as lately I have been less anxious.
