I asked him if he was clean and he said yes; however, ever since then, I've had a headache and a very sore throat almost every day. It's kind of difficult to swallow, and I have no other symptoms indicative of allergies or a cold.
Will a throat infection of gonorrhea show up in a urine sample? Or do I need to get my throat swabbed?
My son has for approximately 9 months has been driving trucks or car carriers in Australia. He works either 5 or six days per weeks and shifts of up to 12 hours. For the last 6 weeks he has been off work following an accident which in my view was a direct result of sleep deprivation. His employer (a large well known logistics firm) schedule drivers' shifts on a weekly basis bearing no similarity to the previous week, Shifts are quite different from one week to the next.

I started having problems in Oct 2008 after taking Chantix for about a month. I quit taking the meds because I had a really bad reaction to it. I was angry, very emotional and thought of suicide. I have never been this way before and didn't like so I stopped the med. About a month later I had an episode where I was having slurred speech (alot) and I would drive to work and then sit there and think "how did I get here". I couldnt remember driving. This lasted or about a month.
I barely avoided a serious accident involving a semi that probably would have killed my baby and very likely killed me as well. I narrowly avoided a head on collision at 70 mph into the back of a truck that slammed on its brakes. The debris from the trucks impact on the car in front of it went all over my car as I swerved. I could have reached out and touched the trailer it was so close. I praise the Lord I was able to avoid it. There were three vehicles involved, please pray for those drivers.
I thought I'd keep you guys updated. On the 13 I got into a bad car wreck. My drivers side of my jeep got hit by a truck and I flipped three times. I do not remember the wreck at all. Unfortunately my son had to come by emergency c section 8 weeks early. So along with broken ribs a broken scapula fractured bones in my back and staples in my head I also had a c section. He is doing great fortunately. He weighed 4.2 lbs. And he's doing better everyday.
Not that I'm pro Chantix, but allow me to play devils advocate for a minute.
When one contemplates quitting and then sets out to do it, there is a profound loss.....like losing your best friend, and we all have to deal with. I myself grieved long and hard. Could your depressed state be that you have finally come to terms with the fact that it is your time to quit?
I used Chantix and mourned the loss but I also used it before it was linked to "possible" suicide.
My friend just quit taking Chantix due to the inability to handle the side effects. She has noticed that since quitting the Chantix alcohol has effected her differently. While on the Chantix she noticed the effects of alcohol tokk in quite quickly where now she seems to have a tolerance that was not there before. Is it possible that theh Chantix caused her intolerabilty to alcohol?
I would not think that Chantix would affect your thyroid, but everyone is different. Are you still taking Chantix? I am assuming not. ALso, I feel compelled to mention that I too had the symptoms you had, except for the trouble breathing, and my vitamin D level was extremely deficient. You may want to get that checked.
