Avatar f tn I am 23 yrs old and I am allergic to all pets that have fur or feathers, as well as tabacco, dust, grass, and dandelion. I take cetirizine hydrochloride and Rhinocort everyday. However, a few months ago, I started to get an itchy/tingly feeling in my teeth, throat, chest, and toungue. I got it almost everyday, and sometimes for several days straight. My doctor said it might be a side affect of the antihistimine. So, I have switched to loratadine and have been using this one for a few months.
Avatar f tn Change sheets frequently and wear clothes only once and wash in hot water. Try cetirizine hydrochloride 10 mg/day for itching.

Avatar n tn Hi Krista, I was diagnosed with CIU in September of 2015, I'm 22 years old and had symptoms start about a year ago. I just started with Xoliar, I'm getting my second injections this week. I've had an awful cold for the past 2 of them which I'm hoping isn't side effects from the Xoliar. I was taking a Lupus/Rheumatoid Arthritis medication for months which controlled the hives a bit, but not as much as my doctor wanted.
Avatar n tn He takes an allergy medicine (cetirizine hydrochloride) every day (three tablets which is over the recommended dose, but necessary to control his hive outbreaks) and predisone often. I would like to know from more metformin users if this is something they have experienced. BTW- He was referred to an allergist who claims it is some sort of an autoimmune response in older people (he is 65), which I do not believe as there were not objective tests to substantiate this.
1258248 tn?1328775478 well, rash is gone way down took anti histamine, Cetirizine Hydrochloride, for 3 days and it really helped. Feel a bit of flem, mucus, issues but its not to bad, think it might be a side from the antihistamine.
Avatar f tn These side effects should go away over time and they should have within a month at least lessened so it might be worthwhile to speak to a doctor about it. One thing you should be aware of is that the symptoms they were treating will also return so it might be worthwhile to speak to your psychiatrist about other available options unless they expressly authorized you to discontinue the medications and are monitoring this situation.

Avatar n tn I have been diagnose with a skin fungus infection (dermamytocosis) and the dermatologist has prescribed Lamisil (terbinafine hydrochloride) very strong tablets with quite a few side effects. I would like to try natural alternatives like apple cider vinegar but could the infection spread out or perhaps can resolved by itself over time. Will I be prone to get fungus infections in the future?
Avatar n tn Hello, Uroxatral contains alfuzosin hydrochloride as the active ingredient and does not contain sulfa. However if it cause any of the side effects like rash, dizziness, shortness of breath or fainting then you should not take it and consult your doctor. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.

Avatar n tn The allergist prescibed Xyzal and Ramitidine - these were not covered by my insurance but over the counter equivalents, i.e. Cetirizine Hydrochloride and Zantac 150, have almost fully controlled the itchiness and I have not had any hives since taking these medications. I have had some indigestion and stomach issues but much less than before. Any thoughts or advice would be welcome.
