Avatar n tn Therefore, medicines like cetirizine may be needed indefinitely if symptoms are bad enough. Cetirizine is generally very well tolerated. You can look online for the list of possible side effects.
Avatar f tn t buy it regularly as it is more expensive is Aerius which uses desloratadine, a metabolite of loratadine (copied from their site). I got no side effects from either one.
Avatar m tn I have stopped using the Triamcinolone Cream two months ago because of the side effects such as periorbital dermatitis.. What are the common causes of a Papular Rash? I am exposed to Dogs and Cats on a daily basis, could this be Toxocariasis? I haven't had a fever but do have a dry cough. The only meds I am on now are Allegra, Zantac and just ending a four week round of Minocycline. If this is possibly from Minocycline, how long does it take for a drug induced rash to go away?
Avatar f tn My German Shepherd was recently prescribed incurin and it has caused her not to eat and a little bit aggressive and scared... She also was running around with her hackles up and starting fights with my other dogs...She only had 3 or 4 days of it and then I took her off of it this last Sunday was her last dose...She still is not wanting to eat and not 100% back to herself? How long do the side effects last...It was taking me an hour and a half to get her to eat 2 cups of food...

Avatar n tn Some of the side effects reported vary due to different breeds & several other factors. We have 1 Rottweiler mix male & 2 rescued dogs (German Rottweiler female & American Rottweiler female). German Rotty was approx 2 y/o when rescued. She had her first seizure approx 2 months ago. Scared me to death. A month later she had another so I knew some of the signs before hand. My mixed male & American Rotty female were going crazy when the seizures occurred.
378273 tn?1262097621 Finally I heard from the vet - she was not concerned and said what I describe are common side effects. She agreed with my lowering the dosage. She said it can take up to 2 weeks for the side effects to subside. There is an emergency place a couple of miles away; which I will take her to if she gets worse, but she has greatly improved in the last 12 hours or so. She can now get up on her own most of the time and seems more alert.
Avatar n tn If this is a small dog and 3ml is a human dose, then yes, it could be harmful.....A large dog would be less likely to suffer as serious side effects....... The same overdose symptoms can happen to a dog as with a human.......You need to look at your package warning label and read them or google side effects of this medication...... If you see anything unusual with your dog's behaviour, you need to seek medical attention ASAP.....Let us know how he/she is doing.....
Avatar n tn Hi Krista, I was diagnosed with CIU in September of 2015, I'm 22 years old and had symptoms start about a year ago. I just started with Xoliar, I'm getting my second injections this week. I've had an awful cold for the past 2 of them which I'm hoping isn't side effects from the Xoliar. I was taking a Lupus/Rheumatoid Arthritis medication for months which controlled the hives a bit, but not as much as my doctor wanted.
Avatar f tn Hi there, I looked on the side effects of Depakote and I didn't find anything to do with this. I've never been an angry person, nor have I really ever have I ever blasted people or my dogs. I yell at my dogs, have no patience, basically more irritability that I'm not able to control .I'm Bipolar, with mixed states, rapid cycling and have been in the last couple of months, hypomanic.
Avatar n tn Because Epikacin is calcium based, and excess calcium levels are another very detrimental side effect that dogs often experience secondarily to primary kidney disorders. Today, Board Certified Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialists, including the kidney vets at the Dialysis Center for Pets at UC Davis have replaced it with Aluminum Hydroxide (ALOH) based agents. The ALOH effectively lowers excess phosphorus and calcium blood with no adverse side effects.
1623704 tn?1300452745 I just started Lyrica yesterday. I was so scared to start because of all the side effects. Well, was wondering, if anyone else is taking it, and if so, do the side effect go away after awhile? I felt REALLY drunk all day. Glad I didn't have to do much! Should I take at bed time instead of morning?
Avatar n tn ve stayed with it the longest. My question is regarding the side effects. Occasionally I will notice an internal restless feeling -- usually lasts a few days. It's almost like I feel kind of antsy. My sleep is not disturbed -- I sleep normal as usual. I've also noticed, and have in the past, that I have some twitches. Various muscles in my body will twitch from time to time.
Avatar m tn Blood testing is important, so if you are concerned about the side effects, get the vet to do a blood test to assess dosage levels. But, the side effects CAN continue for several weeks, before they will eventually start to subside. I know it's a hard process - but it has to be gone through - otherwise you will be back at square one. Don't interfere with the dosing without the vet's authority - and importantly, give the dose at the same time every 12hrs.
Avatar n tn You can look up the side effects of just about any medication you can think of. I would look up the possible side effects of xyzol tablets. Write down the side effects so you have them when you go for your doctor's appointment. Good luck to you.
Avatar f tn I have read so many posts where people have significant (severe) side effects years after completing treatment. Are there any studies or evaluations on post-treatment side effects? Any comments?
Avatar m tn The goal was to start him on both meds with the intention of weening him off the pheno, or trying to anyways. I am glad to see that these are side effects that most dogs experience and that they may get better. Most of the time he just doesn't seem to feel good and it's heartbreaking. Thank you all for sharing your stories. It really does help me to stay more positive.
Avatar n tn If you are highly considering having a child someday, I suggest you tell this to your doctor since one of the side effects of chemotherapy is infertility. Other side effects include hair loss, body weakness, nausea and vomiting, and allergic reaction. These are manageable with supportive measures. Generalized itching is one of the symptoms of lymphoma. This can be managed with intake of antihistamine like Cetirizine. Hope this helps. God bless you always.
Avatar m tn Well, we need to start at the basics. See an ophthalmologist for a complete eye exam to look for problems like dry eyes, cataracts, glaucoma and possible farsightedness and presbyopia. You might need glasses. Also you may be having some blurred vision due to medications side effects which are very, very common. Sorry, I don't have any magic answers but I am just trying to lead you in the right direction.
Avatar f tn She is very unsteady on her feet which seems to come and go. How long before these side effects will go away?
Avatar n tn Ondansetron CAN be given to dogs, but I wouldn't do it without consulting your vet. There could be problems associated with giving it to your dog without your vet first examining him because if the vomiting is from something serious, such as a blockage or intussusception it could mask the symptoms and this could be fatal for your dog. Also, some breeds, like Collies and breeds that were developed using the Collie could suffer fatal side effects from it.
