Avatar f tn Liver Cancer Cells Coaxed To Commit Suicide By Common Anti-Inflammatory The anti-inflammatory drug celecoxib, known by the brand name Celebrex, triggers liver cancer cell death by reacting with a protein in a way that makes those cells commit suicide, according to a new study. Researchers also found that the combination of celecoxib with each of two chemotherapy drugs killed more liver cancer cells in culture, making those combinations more effective than either drug on its own.

Avatar m tn A man aged 81 was taking celecoxib 100mg daily following knee replacement surgery for osteoarthritis. Three weeks after commencing celecoxib he developed jellybean-shaped loss of vision centrally in each eye. This occurred every day after his morning dose and lasted for a few hours. The celecoxib was stopped and there was no recurrence of the visual disturbance.
Avatar m tn t seen anything positive about Celecoxib. My question is how long should I wait until I start taking this on a regular basis. Because, I have had many alcoholic drinks in my time, but if I stay sober should I be able to take this within 2 weeks? I'm only saying that because I'm assuming it might be a good window opportunity for my liver to start healing!
Avatar f tn Ah thanks for your comment,, I have tried celecoxib and arcoxia as my doctors advised but I already got immune with this meds as they can't controll the pain anymore..
Avatar f tn My youngest child is 11 so it has been quite some time since nursing. Although they were always a little different since nursing 10 years ago, lately it has been quite significant. I have not begun treatment yet as we are still trying to find out how extensive everything is. All I have had was the excisional biopsy without clean margins. I had a MRI and BRCA last week and am getting ultrsound this week based on the MRI findings. It looks like there are other quadrants involved.
Avatar f tn I think the earliest age any babysitter will accept is 3mos old! Does this mean I should take my list off consideration for the nursing program? What if I loose this baby? I lost one dec 2013. Do you think there is any possible way I can have both my dreams? My rainbow baby and getting accepted into the nursing program? I'm 39.
Avatar f tn I just did one after I fell and found out that I should not even be on half the medications I am on due to my Celecoxib. So I ended up falling the other day and really messed up my right ankle, low back, neck and right wrist. I was out camping with the hubby and so I took a couple of Benedryll to help me sleep since I was in so much pain...Very Bad Move, it dropped my Blood Pressure way down and caused me to be sensitive to the sun and get sunburned. I was so dizzy.
10233378 tn?1427161882 I would go with medela or bravado. However I wouldn't buy bunch till you know what size your Boobs will settle into afer a few weeks your milk has been in. I would go to a maternity and get measured I need a support to and wasted a lot of money with my first as I didn't want to spend 50+$ on a bra but all the money I wasted i should have just bought the expensive kids. Mama a huge difference. Might go with medela first.
Avatar m tn I Know Urine is not infectious. Please taking into consideration other potential fluids. Like Pre-ejaculate/blood mixed with Urine/hematuria.Do you think i am at risk for HIV infection? Please tell me why,Thank you very much.
Avatar m tn Celebrex or celecoxib, on the other hand, is used to treat pain or inflammation including headaches. Medication effect usually varies from one person to another. What is effective to one may not be as effective to another. It would be difficult to say which medicine has a better outlook. You can take the celebrex as an acute medication while the topamax may be your preventive medication. Discuss this with your doctor for proper management. Take care and regards.

Avatar f tn The same thing happened to me, Also have an allergy to Ibuprofen All of the Coxibs like celecoxib and even to ketarolac - as Dr_Veena said they do belong to NSAID group, however currently I'm very cautious in taking any drugs for headaches, different antipyretics like acetominophen and salicylates like aspirin.
Avatar n tn What has helped me the most is Celebrex (celecoxib); It is an anti-inflammatory and unlike over the counter ibuprofen it is safer for your stomach. You want to target reducing inflammation, instead of killing the pain (such as with Narcotics). If you simply kill the pain, you will revert to habits like poor seating position or movement patterns that can exacerbate the injury -- deadly cycle. Ice does this, as well.
10228675 tn?1423881456 I'm curious the best place to buy Nursing tanks from? Before pregnancy i was a 38F.. now that bra is way to small.. so im looking for a nursing tank that my boobs will actually fit in.
453731 tn?1225199508 You should not take acetaminophen (Tylenol), aspirin, or NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) unless your doctor has told you to. NSAIDs include celecoxib (Celebrex), diclofenac (Voltaren), ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil), indomethacin, naproxen (Aleve, Naprosyn), piroxicam (Feldene), and others. These medicines may affect blood clotting and could cause serious bleeding in your stomach or intestines. Avoid sudden changes in your diet. Vitamin K decreases the effects of Coumadin.
Avatar m tn So went to hospital a week ago and did x-ray and blood test. Doctor has given me Celecoxib 200 mg capsules twice a day for 14 days and a gel to apply on my shoulder. Few times when I'm out I missed applying the gel but never missed the capsules (although once I had the capsules 4 hours late). Today I received the x-ray image and report by email, and still waiting for the blood test report.
Avatar n tn Another consideration is nursing...I knew you can nurse in a Maya....that's another one I was looking at...
9663463 tn?1407525554 I started smoking again occasionally (about a pack a week) when my son was about 6 months old, and continued to breastfeed him until he was 2 years old. I always washed my hands and at least wore a jacket outside to smoke that I took off before picking him up. It's a matter of moderation, it's a matter of consideration. Be aware of the smoke on your clothes and skin and avoid allowing it to contact your baby.
Avatar f tn ve been celibate for years too so I think the vaccine would only be a consideration if that situation changed. My social life story over the last few years would also be a potential insomnia cure, but maybe I'll meet someone in the nursing home :) Thanks again for your comments.
Avatar f tn She gave me Ethical ciprobiotic Uro, and an antiinflamitory; Celeco, celecoxib 400mg. 2 to 3 hours later I am now peeing alot of blood. How concerned should I be, becuase I feel slightly wonky and a little scared. I cant get ahold of my friend to take me to the hospital and cant go out alone now becuase its late. Is this normal to pee blood? Is this prescription to high for me?
