Hi, welcome to the forum, Nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), including aspirin, diclofenac and ibuprofen, are associated with an allergic adverse effects, ranging from mild rash to life-threatening allergic reactions. In such cases it becomes difficult to select appropriate pain killer. The next we usually recommend is paracetamol (you are allergic to this drug too). About 2 months ago I was prescribed Restasis Eye drops and after being on the dug for about 2-3 weeks I noticed that my mouth got extremely dry. So I looked up all the side effects and none included dry mouth. so I called the Dr. that prescribed it to me and I was told that 1% of patients get this dry mouth and I was told to discontinue use of the drug and come see the Dr in 1 month. It's been a month and I went to the Dr but the symptoms has gotten worse instead of better.
Celebrex or celecoxib, on the other hand, is used to treat pain or inflammation including headaches. Medication effect usually varies from one person to another. What is effective to one may not be as effective to another. It would be difficult to say which medicine has a better outlook. I firmly believe that my psychiatrist should have warned me about the side effects of this med or any meds he prescribes. By God, they are sure to warn against effects of Viagra and other drugs on TV!!!!!! I would have never thought of telling him about mouth sores and a sore throat. I made no connection at all. I don't know how long it's going to take to get out of my system, but we stopped it on Friday and I hope I don't have any untoward effects from that.
t seen anything positive about Celecoxib. My question is how long should I wait until I start taking this on a regular basis. Because, I have had many alcoholic drinks in my time, but if I stay sober should I be able to take this within 2 weeks? I'm only saying that because I'm assuming it might be a good window opportunity for my liver to start healing!
Ah thanks for your comment,, I have tried celecoxib and arcoxia as my doctors advised but I already got immune with this meds as they can't controll the pain anymore..
The adverse effects experienced are similar to those with use of adenosine. There can be some serious adverse effects (some of which are long-term). There is a process to report adverse events to the FDA but I do not know if they "accept" all reports. We do not get full disclosure of a lot of things medical so it seems that would also apply to vaccines. , i go crazy, no sleep. shake in side and out , my heart beats so fast was so tired but there was no sleeping , when i finally did sleep had night terrors when i take steroids. i now only take them when it;s steroids or die. they also give me zanax and that helps. be careful and taper off the way the doctor wrote the scrip and call him or her and let them know ur side affects.
