Your doctor may have an explanation to account for your symptoms but, if not he/she may have to empirically prescribe another drug, one not in the category of bactrim and Cefdinir. It would also be reasonable for you to ask your doctor to contact the pharmaceutical manufacturers of these drugs to find out if reactions such as yours have been reported.
I took a 10 panel std test prior to the test I was taking Cefdinir although I stopped taking it 5 days before testing would the cefdinir affect the results which were negative.
Revolution is primarily a treatment for fleas in cats and dogs but it is approved for ear mites in both.
Third, what are my odds of catching Syphillis give it is more prevelant in SE Asia and Thailand. My final question is that I visited a doctor in HK and he prescribed Cefdinir 300mgs, 2x a day for 2 weeks to treat possible STDs like gonorrhea, chlamydia or nongonococcal urethritis (NGU) and he also indicated this could treat Syphilis. After spending some time online, I am confused and not certain that will treat the above issues.
Different docs use different combinations of meds, so there is no absolute right/wrong on these things.
I was on:
-- Mepron (generic: atovaquone) and Zithromax (azithromycin) for Babesiosis;
then I was on:
-- Biaxin (clartihromycin) and Omnicef (cefdinir) for Lyme.
However, I have seen references in various places online to Flagyl being used against babesia. If you search "babesiosis flagyl" you'll find what I did.

i'm on the following regime for 1 month and have a follow up to see how i'm doing. the supplements enhance the effectiveness of the antibiotics and the 2nd antibiotic (cefdinir) is to go after the lyme.
We moved to a new house about a month ago and 1 out of our 4 cats refuses to used the litter box. She rather do her business on our couch. All of our cats are used to being outdoor/indoor cats, however where we moved to the wife doesn't want to let cats out since we are way out in the country now. I don't know if that has something to do with it or she just doesn't like her new house. She is only 2 years old. Need suggestions please!!

m very allergic to animals, especially cats. when I was between 15 and 23 (around there anyway) I used OTC allergy medication frequently as most if not all of my friends had cats and I was suffering badly seasonally. By frequently i mean almost daily for up to a month at a time in the spring and summer. I remember vividly (as i was at my cousins wedding outside) I took some medication and apparantly forgot I took it and double dosed.
Does your cat normally go outside? How many cats are in the house and how many litter boxes? What kind of litter do you use and how often do you clean it?
In general, cats like soft clumping litter, cleaned regularly (scooped daily and changed weekly), in a quiet space. Clean the spots where she went potty well with an odor neutralizer and try to block access to the spot. Remember, cats do not respond to punishment, so don't yell at her when you find it after the fact.

About a year ago, all my cats went to stay with my mother while I was out of town. My mother has four cats of her own, and has kept all the cats in the past. She does, however, have a cat diagnosed with "flea allergies" that is prone to scab outbreaks and irritation. She has to take him for cortisone injections frequently and keeps topical flea meds on the cat. After returning home, my youngest cat (Phoebe, 4 years old) began showing the same symptoms.
I personally would keep the cat in and get a box. The biggest cause for the bacteria is from cats that go outside. Indoor cats sometimes don't even carry the bacteria. If you do get scratched then wash immediately with soap and water. People can be immune to it and you can get it from lots of other things not just cats.
