frequent-urination

Avatar m tn Benign prostate enlargement is common in older men, yes it does lead to more frequent urination but has nothing to do with there being a cancerous condition (prostates just get larger with age and can start being a nuisance when they press on nerves).
Avatar f tn My 18 year old son is having similiar problems. Started 3 months ago. Worse during the day (when sitting). His urinalysis (4 of them) comes back clear with no infection. He's had an ultra-sound that also came back fine. He's gone to two urologist (we didn't like the first one) and both called it Dysuria Frequent Urgency. The second doctor put him on an anti-biotic (sulfameth) just in case there was a slight infection not showing up in test.
Avatar n tn s urine in the shaft of my penis and i have to go to the bathroom several times, sometimes a lot of urine comes out, im trying to drink less liquids. I have this feeling that my penis is constantly trying to eject the liquid, it's hard to explain but its like there's pressure. I recently had an achographie which showed a pblem in emptying.
Avatar f tn Urinary tract (which consists of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and the urethra) infections are very common in young women. Symptoms of UTI are frequent urination, burning sensation during urination, passing of blood in urine and even fever. The most common causes of repeated UTIs are kidney stones and diabetes mellitus. Women who are sexually active, who use diaphragms for birth control, and/or are past menopause are at an increased risk for urinary tract infections.
Avatar m tn 2 days really nothing. The frequent urination is not because of std just after 2 days.
Avatar f tn frequent urination at night isn't a sign of herpes infection. You need to continue to follow up with your provider for this. It could be many things from too much caffeine/sugar consumption during your waking hours, nerves, infection or even something like diabetes. Stop assuming that everything in your body means herpes and continue to look for other causes with your provider.
Avatar m tn Almost all trichomonas infections in men are entirely asymptomatic, and men usually know they have it only when a female partner gets infected. Rarely it can cause nongonococcal urethritis (NGU), with urethral discharge and/or uncomfortable urination. It probably can linger for years. Nothing shows up in urinalysis or routine culture. Happily, trich is harmless in men and usually not serious in women either.
Avatar f tn I'm 33 year old male, I was diagnosed with phimosis 2yrs ago. I've been having the constant urge to urinate but with only a low flow and sometimes spraying. I've been through testing for uti, std, bladder cancer (cystoscopy) but yet know one can give me an answer as to why I always have the urge. I've taken meds (flomax, oxybutynin, and diptromin) none of them worked. Help!!! I'm to young for this to be happening.
Avatar f tn About 3 days later I started noticing a increase in my need to urinate (because of this I started drinking more water, to be sure not to get dehydrated, which of course lead to more frequent urination ) I also started feeling a slight pain towards the tip of my penis... Not during urination but just throughout the day, I never noticed any discharge, swelling, or abdominal pain... And the frequency at which I urinate has gone back to more of a regular amount..

Avatar n tn 2. It is normal for me to have small amounts of genital secretions. these tend to be most obvious in the morning and can follow masturbation and, even more importantly, over doing self examination. 3. Urinary frequency is a normal response to focus upon one's genital tract and possible discharge. In summary, could this be an STD?- perhaps. Do I think it is likely? - no. Your test tomorrow will provide the information and, I predict, reassurance, you seek.

Avatar m tn there is pain and pressure especially when i sit down and it causes frequent urination. it is here around 6 months. what is your diagnosis? Please see my problem at: http://sendvid.com/fvxy1e75 Thank you.
Avatar m tn The one STD which might be associated with urinary frequency is non-gonococcal urethritis, which is diagnosed by demonstration of increased numbers of white blood cells in a urine specimen collected at the beginning of urination or in a urethral swab from the penis. In both cases you should not have urinated for at least an hour before your specimen is collected. You could have this done at your local STD clinic for little if any cost.
Avatar f tn I had the worst excessive urination from low potassium. I lived in the toilet and was getting splits on my skin down there from constantly using toilet paper. I was using Savlon cream to relieve the pain. The relief of orange juice! High in potassium. Went from excessive urination to normal OVERNIGHT! Low potassium causes dry skin too btw.
Avatar n tn In general, the decision to initiate medication for the enlarged prostate (BPH) is guided by the severity of their symptoms consistent with an enlarged prostate such as frequent urination, difficulty initiating urination, weak stream, and frequent nighttime urination. Often these are evaluated by a patient’s response to a standardized set of questions that help to establish a threshold of symptoms that warrant treatment with medication.
Avatar n tn Male Pattern Baldness If you watched any of the royal wedding, you might have noticed that Prince William is balding on the top of his head. This type of balding of the crown of the head in young men may be a sign of an increased risk for heart disease, says Carl E. Orringer, MD . Several large studies have confirmed the link between baldness and heart disease. Compared to men with a full head of hair, men with crown loss have an increased risk of heart disease of about 23 percent.

Avatar n tn Hi frquent urination in a man at night, could be from a couple of causes, being the prostrate is the most commom. You also urinate alot if the detrusor muscle is overactive, or you suffer with diabetes, etc. My first guess is this could be preostrate related, and your boyfriend needs to go and have this checked out, with an Urologist, a consultant.
