Maybe you should try that for a couple of months and see if it helps you too. I have heard of a few women who did the same thing and it helped them too. Cysts can cause all kinds of pain, but if you feel like you might want to try another doctor, it wouldn't hurt.

Most of the time if we can get those insulin and hormone levels right your periods will come as theyre suppossed to and nomore brown blood aka spotting between periods.

Take this as a transition period, also since low carb means ingesting more vegetables, some vegs like spinach does cause bloating for me. Increasing fat and meat servings help me a lot. Bloating could also mean you lack some enzymes for particular types of food. Experiments with various food to see which ones most suitable for your digestion.

Remember that vegetables are carbs, too, which is where Atkins when wrong -- not enough vegetables and their essential nutrients. Also keep in mind that there's no such thing as a Paleo diet, it's just a name -- as long as they've dug up our ancestors they've found chewed grains. But of course they were whole grains, not processed flours, and not all grains are created equal.

Avatar f tn The way to see if you can tolerate it is to start with a low dose (maybe 1/2 or 1/4 of a pill). Then build up the dose over a period of days / weeks. However, if your blood sugar numbers are very high (normal blood sugars are less than 140 all the time), please consider a low carb (moderate protein, high healthy fats) diet. And do not rule out insulin. Insulin is actually a great tool for controlling blood sugars.

Having lost that much weight in my life I can attest to the improvement of your overall quality of life, it is very amazing. The most important thing is to discuss your weight loss plans with your doctor and let them approve you medically for what you're going to put your body through.

Some of our most immediate concerns revolve around diet. We fully understand how to do the calculations we need, how to check labels, really most of the basics. But we are also trying to find resources that are a little more specific as to snacks that are no-carb, low-carb.

Avatar n tn Your optimal BG s/b under 100. If your BG is high after walking, it's because exercise can release stress hormones which raise BG temporarily. Add strength training in the evening & your BG could see am improvement in the morning. Also adjust your diet based on your numbers. Remove refined sugars & high carb foods. Switch to lower carb options. I've been eating Tomaro low carb wraps for breakfast instead of bread.

While they have approximately the same amount of carbs the fat content is really low (which makes my bloodsugar levels easier to control since the carbs are being released quickly-like normal- and not being released over a long period of time...this makes it substantially easier to control my bg). Also stay away from Bird's Eye because that brand has an astronomical amount of carbs and fat (depending on which dish you buy).

My last cycle was 28 days but all of a suden today I started bleeding again on the 15th day. My last cycle was around 4 or 5 days as usual but I do not now whats going on here now. So I'm very disappointed that your doctor told you no more than 20 carbs. You could get away with 25 carbs a day and still lose weight. You need to do more than walking, too. There are many workout videos online that are free that you can do at home before work or when you get home, before dinner. You can even do them while you watch TV at night!

I was prescribed Metformin but I wasn't happy about adding more medication to my life. I've been on IV treatments & meds for my other disease. I cut out most carbs & added excercise and lowered my A1C to normal range. Does this mean I'm not diabetic anymore?
