535822 tn?1443976780 I read an article about it, but it was truckers talking. Some for and some against. Mostly all I got out of it was they were concerned about the safety of the trucks? I am confused, are there going to be mexican truck drivers coming to the us and driving our roads or are we using mexican trucks ? Sorry, I just didnt get it. Question though, I thought the mexican government was corrupt? If it is, why would we make an agreement with them?
Avatar n tn Managed Hashimotos well for 10 years. Always had low but within range A1Cs and glucose for as long as I can recall. Situation: Last week for several days I had been having severe nonstop heart palpitations after eating (mostly carbohydrates). Finally it got so bad I could feel my heart struggling to pump so I went to the ER, and they referred me to a cardiologist. Cardiologist ran an echo in his office. Nothing was found but PVCs.
Avatar f tn When i was 22 weeks, my husband and i went to a mud run. I personally wasn't planning on going in my Husband's truck, but to not make it suspicious, as his family didn't know, i went for a few rides. My husband made sure he took it easy but there was a few spots it was rough and bouncy and side to side. I feel my baby now and I'm currently 25 weeks. I haven't had a doc appt yet but i have one on the 12th. Is there any reason i should be worried for health issues?
1615999 tn?1307461942 Does anyone have any suggestions as far as pain killers for endo pain? I am currently taking 3 advil every 4-6 hours but it really is not helping. Cat Is it normal for body temp to go down to levels called hypo while doing basic household chores such as cleaning the kitchen, which has been causing shortness of breath severely since an attempt to use a medication that didnt agree with me last summer. it causes not only shortness of breath but also sweating, rapid heart beat and symptoms of overheating, after i stop to rest, and it causes the body temp to decrease dramatically. i have seen it go down as far as 87.6 f.
Tbd Spaghetti squash is GREAT if you use 2 table spoons of your favorite spaghetti sauce. 300 calories for pasta, and 10 calories for same amount of the squash. Cook it WELL, and you can hardly tell the difference. Cook it less, and there is a difference, but I like it both ways. Make your own bread and use SPELT flower. It is really good, but kind of expensive. Coconut oil instead of even olive oil is good to.

988694 tn?1332359479 Hi, low carb diet works wonders for diabetics. I went on a low carb diet, lost approx 100 lbs ! which put my diabetic levels back into normal range. As for thyroid function, I never noticed any changes in my hormone labs, due to low carb diet.
Avatar n tn they give me indigestion. I do make low carb breads from time to time (particularly for my children) out of almond flour or coconut flour. There are some great low carb website for lowcarb baking (alldayIdreamaboutfood) is a great one. However, I mostly just stick with basic foods. Breakfast is typically just coffee with cream. Both lunch and dinner will typically be some sort of meat and veges.
Avatar n tn Been living with inoperable Chiari Malformation since birth, am 30 now. Experience no pain, but I am wheelchair bound and due to a scoliosis, syringomyelia, and pneumonia ravaged lungs from early childhood, I'm in a fairly sorry state. Happy though, content. I've a question. Do y'all experience issues with emotional regulation? Reason I'm asking is that my dad died two weeks back. Everyone around me is an emotional wreck, even people that purportedly weren't fond of him.
Avatar m tn Depending on your results from your blood sugar meter you may need to eat much lower carb to manage blood sugars. This is called "eat to your meter" appraoch. An alternative low carb approach recommended by Dr. Bernstein is detailed in his book "Diabetes Solutions" and also discussed on Utube at "Bernstein Diabetes University". He recommends typically about 30 g of carbs / day mostly from non-starchy veges. You will need to experiment and see what works for you.

667078 tn?1316000935 Alex, I just received this latest edition yesterday. I briefed the story on erikaslist - excellent source for those w/disabilities. I'm always keeping my eye on up and coming assistance for my BIL too who was paralyzed at the end of 09. Did you see that new truck? Now that's going to change the life of so many w/SCI. Not to mention it was gorgeous (as trucks can be in my mind, lol)!
973741 tn?1342342773 However, the latest approach is to take a much more aggressive approach to diet. NOT low fat, high carb any more, but instead low carb, moderate protein and enough fat for energy. This is the approach endorsed by Dr. Richard Berstein (Book: diabetes solutions, and U-tube lecture series "Bernstein Diabetes University") and also many who follow ketogenic or low carb way of eating.

4397901 tn?1353972437 Well thanks a lot for reading my post..... Yes I've known and seen some accidents, this particular free way isn't really the safest. Cleaning is really hard for me, I follow some rituals but most of the time I'm scared and afraid of taking a bath cause I feel kinda have some chemicals on me and let several days pass to "prove me" that I don't have nothing going on. I'm aware of the fact that every day people drive here and such....

1273125 tn?1365077526 I am taking 850 mg of Metformin twice a day. My morning blood sugar is around 200. I am close to or over 200 for most of the day as well. I have decided that until I can lose weight and get my numbers in control that way that insulin might be a good choice for me. I am afraid that it constantly being that high is going to cause damage. I have tried other medications such as Actos and Januvia but they did not make that big a difference. I tried the Byetta as well with the same results.
Avatar n tn My problem is weight gain, no matter what I do, I just keep gaining. Every pound is so bad for my blood sugar. Is there a special diet for someone like me who has no thyroid???
