Avatar m tn I do 15 Mins of treadmill (avg 10 speed), 10mins of cycling followed by 5 mins of skipping (rope jumping) everyday. After that I do 1hr of weight training (single body pary) 5 days a week. Would this schedule help me lose weight. P.S I do follow a diet, but mostly I tend to binge eat once or twice a week max.
Avatar f tn Hi, I am also trying to lose some weight, and it's just-stay healthy. I workout almost every day,or at least I try to do some walking or cycling when I don't have the time, and you need to watch your calories. But that's not it,tou have to make sure you get the good calories, not the empty ones that are in cookies and such. Women's health mag helps me a lot, too!
2053729 tn?1330435506 I have been watching what I eat following a high carb/low carb diet every other day. According to what I have researched, my BMR is 2485 and I eat about 1800 calories a day, so I should be losing weight just being me. Add in the approximate 2000 calories I burn with my exercise and I should be melting into a puddle! We do a lot of weights, pilates, abs, pushups, strength bands and squats at my aerobics class so I know my body is changing. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?
1127564 tn?1262544756 4) There is no hard and fast rule that you have to do cycling to stay fit. You can do other forms of cardio like cross trainer, skipping, swimming or anything else. Take care!
Avatar f tn v=_5AFFltDJFU The Peak 8 routine it will quickly raise your heart rate 8 times for very short bursts, with a cooling down period in between. Ideally you’ll be sprinting or cycling full throttle for 30 seconds with a 90 second cool down in between each outburst. This is the fastest way to lose fat and build muscle in the body. Peak 8 actually stimulates the growth hormone in the body.
Avatar m tn My guess is your blood sugar cycling up and down. Unless you take blood sugar measurements throughout the day, you will not know it, as one reading only does not tell the whole story. Have you noticed any pattern with what you eat and dizzy spells? For example, if you eat protein+fat breakfast (eggs, cheese, bacon, etc) versus a carb rich one (low fat muffin), you would likely feel better with protein+fat and otherwise dizzy with carb rich meal (which causes blood sugar cycling).
Avatar f tn Heiligs14 what kind of cardio do you do. While cardio is an essential component to Any weight loss or fitness plan it's not the only component. Try this for 3-4 weeks and see if it helps. I think you'll be very pleased with your results. If you work out 6 days a week split that between intense cardio (heart rate between 70%-80% three days a week and 3 days of moderate intensity weight lifting.
Avatar f tn Im an 18 year old female and im hoping to lose 4lbs before june, I was wondering what the most effective cardio was to help me lose the weight?
Avatar m tn low carb! as in simple carbs but consume complex carbs and protein. don't forget to add cardio and strength training.
Avatar f tn I do 20 minutes of cardio and wt train with a circuit type atmosphere while keeping my cardio up during my wt training. I had a hysterectomy at 51, do I need my hormones checked? My job is very physical and I easily walk > 8000 steps and 6 flights.
Avatar n tn Been to see many many cardios and they have all told me that I have no problems with my heart. I have recently started cycling again as one cardio told me to literally get on my bike and burn off the adrenaline. This has worked brilliantly over the last few months. I now cycle every day for 15 miles (25k), but recently I have noticed that I am now having this skipped beats with my cycling which is of great concern to me.
Avatar f tn Low carb diets won't help you burn fat (unless you are starving yourself), just water loss and muscle (protien stores) and low carb diets are very unhealthy for you, puts you into a state of ketosis, which creates ketones that are very toxic to your kidney and liver. To lose fat you need to eat healthy, gain muscle (muscle is your metabolism) and do aerobic cardio and sometimes implement intense cardio, such as HIIT. You need to do more than just go on a diet.
Avatar f tn Each one of your meals should include a protein source, a fat source and low-carb vegetables. Each one of your meals should include a protein source, a fat source and low-carb vegetables. Working out is extremely important to losing weight quickly and keeping it off. It is best to do some sort of resistance training like weight lifting. If that is not an option, cardio workouts work too.
484167 tn?1210001396 anyone heard of this? about "cycling" calories and giving up on low fat/carb diets?
1698865 tn?1306869524 I used to be about 290 lbs, and thanks to a strict low-carb diet I got down to about 240 lbs, but then I hit a plateau. No matter what I did I couldn't lose any more weight. I started working out regularly when I hit my plateau and I still was not losing any weight. So after a few months of nothing, I thought 'it doesn't matter I'm not losing anything anyways' and I pigged out. A couple days later i stepped on the scale and i had lost 2 lbs!
Avatar f tn Cardio does help out but so does nutrition and other factors. It's all about what you are eating and portion sizes. You can still eat out and be healthy, you just have to make healthy choices. I'm sure the running will help…it's good for your heart!
Avatar f tn I gained 70 lbs. with my pregnancy. What did I do once the doctor gave me the ok? Adapted a low carb style of eating. And worked out like a fiend. I didn't even join a gym. I used to run/walk twice a day (morning and night) then eventually yoga and Pilates mixed in. In took me a year and a half to really get my metabolism going and fat burning to kick in. I did it the healthy way. You can do it. Just relax about it.
Avatar n tn s no shortcut...and it also depends how big your belly is now... cardio! Planks! And a low carb healthy, clean diet!
Avatar f tn But, i hate excersing much, and usually eat just potatoes or rice and no healthy food. So by any chance, if i do stationery cycling for 30 minutes in a day, can it help me in reducing weight without doing anything else.
Avatar f tn I am on a strict diet, but high cholesterol and triglycerides are genetic. Is it safe for me to take Centrum Cardio Vitamins (with plant phytols) to help lower my cholesterol? Also, does buffered niacin (or non-flushing niacin) work equally as well as regular niacin in helping to lower cholesterol? And is it safe to take with coumadin?
