I stopped taking Skelaxin several weeks ago and am now in the process of discontinuing the Hydrocodone. I took the last Soma and 1/2 of a 5 mg tablet several nights ago. This is my second round with trying to get off this med. The problem is the insomnia or sleeplessness that occurs in the middle of the night. As I type this it is 3:45 and I've been up since 2:15. I am having difficulty functioning at work because I am exhausted.
Welcome to MedHelp. I am glad you found us on the Pain Management Forum. I am sorry to hear about your pain. It sounds like you may have Wryneck, also know as Torticollis.
Torticollis or (Wryneck) is a twisting of the neck that causes the head to rotate and tilt at an odd angle. It is caused by irritation to cervical nerves, which results in spasm of the neck muscles.

Also, you can not take sub and hydrocodone together or even close together. The sub will make it impossible for the hydrocodone to work. It will block it's effect.
Just know that the recommended dose for acet. is 4000 mg. a day. That is 8 pills in a 24 hour period. It is not recommended to take more than 1000 mg. at a time because of the effect on the liver. Others have taken more than that and have been okay. But that does not mean that you will be. It really depends on your genes.
00 AM and along with it take a Percocet (Oxycodone) at 10:00 AM the answer is no, it is certainly not recommended. Ask the physician that prescribed both of the meds for you how he/she meant for you to take them.
They are both narcotic pain medications. The percocet is stronger than the Norco. However that doesn't mean that it will work better. Hydrocodone works better for me than Oxycodone.
Since he advised you that they, (hydrocodone) can change your brain chemistry and trigger anxiety and depresseion, he has the knowledge available to prevent that from happening. But he didn't.
So, yeah..........you're right. You now get to spend more time on drugs that you probably wouldn't need if he'd done his job.
And people wonder why I don't have much respect for GP's. Go figure.
These meds are usually prescribed to take every 4-6hrs as needed for pain..it will tell you on your prescription bottle how often you can take it for pain. Nobody can give you medical advise on here you need to call your doctor or pharmacist. Good luck with your dental pain I hope the pain goes away soon!
I have neuropathy and I take gabapentin thr5ee times a day along with hydrocodone so this means that I take three and sometimes four times a day the hydrocodone, can this be too much for my liver?
So he just said take the hydro because your not taking that many (only 3 a day 7.5) and try this Skelaxin and let me know in 3 months how your doing.
I have really tried to cut back on the hydro but my back hurts so bad it wakes me up (when I can sleep). Please let me know if any of you have had any experence with this for back spasms. Thanks.
In 1994 I had suffered a sub-arachnoid hemmorage(anueurysm) on the outer left side of my brain. I had it clipped, and the surgery involved some cutting into some muscle tissue in the jaw as well as surgical buttons to seal the bone flap they had cut open. I still have chronic pain from the surgery site(mostly the jaw and sometimes the site where it was cut open), but not like the section of the brain where it happened.
Be careful of all that Tylenol. They are taking Hydrocodone off the market all together and replacing it with a long acting med called ZoHydro. it is Vicodin without the tylenol 500 mg of tylenol is way way too much for your liver to handle. I am on Roxy's which is oxycodone 30 mg no aspirin they do fine and for the long acting i am using Morphine Sulphate.
If you ask, I think you know the truth...only you can decide when use becomes abuse. What may I ask if I may do you take them for?
They change the natural receptors to your brain that makes them on their own but when the opiate feeds that part of your brain it's not like a puzzle piece and your brain stops making the natural receptors on it's own....it's totaly a mind !@#$
You asked, I told you what I have learned and I pray it's correct.
Phentermine does not list thyroid meds or thyroid disease as a caution or a contra-indication, so it should be alright.
You don't want to take ANY drugs or vitamins or supplements at the same time as you take your Synthroid.
Take your Synthroid with a glass of water in the morning. No food or anything for an hour. Coffee is ok, cream or milk is a major no-no.
Some meds or supplements should be spaced several hours later.
