can you take mobic and ibuprofen together

I take lisinopril myself for HBP and have done so for decades. I've never used naproxen except maybe once or twice. One Rx that might possibly be of benefit for arthritis instead of naproxen is meloxicam, also known as Mobic. I use it occasionally with no ill effects to report.

My mama used to take Mobic and it helped her back alot. Unfortunately for her, it upset her stomach so she quit taking it with no side effects following. Best wishes.

Yes you can take Mobic with a narcotic pain med. Mobic is a NSAID, and has the same risks as other NSAIDS. In high doses it can cause some kidney issues, the vicodin has tylenol in it and can cause some liver issues in high doses. But they are safe to take together. Typically what you want to watch for is multiple NSAIDS, or Multiple meds with tylenol.

When I take Savella and Pristiq together, it works wonders. When both my pain dr and my psychiatrist got together and said I couldn't take them together, I became very depressed after getting off of Savella. I didn't want to kill myself, but I sure didn't want to live. Lyrica put me to sleep in horrible ways, Cymbalta doesn't work for me and anything like Prozac or Lexapro or Zoloft is candy to me. I also take Norco.

ok I just read online that you are not suppose to take ibuprofen while you are pregnant again im 5 weeks i took total of seven not all together of course over say a period of maybe two days due to a severe toothache did i do something stupid is my baby going to be ok.

There are contraindications in taking them together and if that is what you doctor prescribed then it should be fine. If you got them at the same pharmacy they shlould also have both meds on file to make sure they are fine taken together. All you really need to do is call your pharmacy and they should be able to give you a defenitive answer, but in my case it has always been fine. Nothing can substitute the advice of a professional.

My OBGYN and RE told me that any type of anti inflamatory such as Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) and prescription ones like Celebrex and Mobic can keep you from ovulating. If doing IVF, it can also affect you. During the retrieval they may be able to get many follicles out but may be unable to get eggs out of them. Talk to your RE if you need pain medication.

doctor today for my shoulder pain. Can you believe it, he told me it was carpal tunnel syndrome? I thought the shoulder pain was causing my wrist and fingers to go numb, come to find out it was the wrist causing the shoulder pain. I am totally baffled. I go back on Monday for a nerve study to determine if I need surgery. I wished I would have gone to the doctor sooner so I could have healed before school starts back. Oh well, I will just pray that surgery is not necessary.

I am currently trying to taper off of Lortab after a failed C/T attempt and am having sleep issues. I was wondering if any of you know if you can take Wellbutrin and Melatonin at the same time. I took Wellbutrin for a Post-Traumatic Stress situation last year and then stopped once my depression was mostly over and then I started using it again about two weeks before I decided to quit the pills in the hopes that it would help the depression that i knew would happen.

Meloxicam is just a glorified Ibuprofen/Aleve med, so you could always try those OTC. You can take up to 800 mg Ibuprofen every 8 hours or 500mg of Aleve twice a day in it's place. Celebrex is a name brand drug and insurance companies hate those namebrands. lol Your doc can sometimes do a prior authorization, though, to get them to pay for it, which is basically paperwork explaining that you' ve tried other things and this is the only drug that works for you.

I'm 6 weeks and having horrible headaches, back pain and cramping. I wanted to know what I can take and what works. I'm a little hesitant due to having a miscarriage and I just moved out of state and can't see a doctor until next week.

s in my stomach So be careful with the Motrin and Aleve and things like Mobic,Voltaren they can be very serious if u ignore it..Now for me will have to be Tylenol or my muscle relaxers ..

HI and welcome to the forum..sounds to me like you have built up a tolerance to all your meds...the benzo's will quit working after a wile and you cant just stop taking them you have to go off slowly to avoid seizures as for the methadone I got up to 150ml and it quit working for pain it took 6yrs but eventually even 150ml wouldn't work any more...

50 mg and yea motrin 800 doesn't work for me either and is rough on my stomach but mobic(that's the non generic name for meloxicam) is only 15mg and doesn't bother my stomach.
