Avatar m tn For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
1641357 tn?1470495393 I'm almost positive that I have eczema on my face. It's itchy, dry, red, scaly patches on my face mostly cheeks and forehead, but also around the edges of my mouth and sideburn areas. Along my hairline and my head. I've always had a problem with dandruff and i'm thinking it's moreso eczema now than dandruff. While I was pregnant it all went away (which i LOVED!) but now it's back and my face is super red and hurts and I can't stop scratching it!
Avatar n tn Further treatment for each condition is different and can be described based on the symptoms and signs. You may give us more details and a picture for better corelation. On the other hand, you may also visit your dermatologist for this. Hope this helped. Let me know if you may need any more information.
Avatar f tn I have this red rough and itchy patches on my face on and off. It will get better and seem to go away only to come back. I have tried to see if I was allergic to something but I cant figure it out. It itches and burns and nothing I put on it helps. The doc put me on antibiotics for 10 days and it helped alittle but came back. My skin will flake after it starts to get better and then it will start all over. I thought maybe rosacea but I am not sure.
Avatar f tn Thank you for the advice. Since I posted that it's begun to get very dry and is now scaly and peeling. I'm beginning to think it is eczema since I did suffer from severe eczema when I was a child.

Avatar f tn It looks somewhat more rough on my face than on my legs and hands. I know I need to get to a dermatologist but I have a back problem and it is hard to get around.
Avatar f tn I have what I believe is eczema on my face and it's red and itchy and I really just want to get rid of the redness and its very embarrassing to go anywhere!!!! I haven't been to a doctor because it comes and goes sometimes I don't know why and I just need something to get rid of the redness I'm visiting my dad and I don't want to go anywhere because it's just a red blotch around my mouth and Lower cheek...
Avatar n tn Okay, it does have its similarities to eczema in looks. But why only my face? Usually its on arms and legs. It doesnt get dry like eczema either. I just use a regular bar of soap on my face just like I always have.
Avatar f tn I am sure you have an appt coming up pretty soon for your baby anyways so you can always bring it up then if you dont want to go in sooner but without seeing what it looks like its hard to see. Baby acne though is just like little white heads and like previous poster said it will go away on its own. Good luck but best solution is at least call the dr and they may be able to tell you over the phone so you dont have to make an appt.
Avatar n tn Not that there is anything wrong with your thyroid, but you never know. Ask your doctor to get your levels tested and push for a Free T3 and T4 test as well as the standard TSH because they are a bit more reliable at telling you what your thyroid is doing.
Avatar f tn t go through clothing, so even though you had shorts on, your genitals were covered. The skin on your thigh is too thick for anything to penetrate, so you couldn't have gotten herpes. Also, no symptom of an STD would appear this quickly. The absolute minimum for STD symptoms to appear is 2 days, and most take longer. 2. Can I get STDs from sucking on nipples? No. 3. Later that evening my cheek was itching - does it mean I have Herpes?
Avatar n tn Hello, It can be due to seborrheic dermatitis, eczema or rosacea. Eczema is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema. Allergic reaction can occur to strong soaps, Solvents, chemicals, certain foods, food additives, plants, metals, cosmetics, even urine and faeces of some animals (dust mites).
Avatar m tn Seborrheic dermatitis is a common skin condition that causes flaky, dry, white to yellowish scales to form on oily areas especially under the nose or anywhere on face. Topical antifungals and mild steroids are the usual treatment and combination of the two can be used to treat stubborn patches. Oral antifungal drugs and immunomodulators such as tacrolimus and pimecrolimus are used in very severe cases. The other possibilities are of eczema or dermatitis.
Avatar f tn Hi, A couple of months ago I had a red rash/dry spot show up on my bridge of my nose and my left part of my face under my eye. Since that time I have confirmed Eczema in my ears and on my scalp. Although the ears and scalp are annoying the spots on my face are really bothering me. I work in a professional environment and even with makeup they do not look very attractive. Prior to this rash/spots on my face showing up, I was vacationing in the Caribbean and they have not gone away.
Avatar n tn Hi This may be contact dermatitis. This seems to be very localized on one side of the face and you have noted that this seems to coincide with the area that the cellphone touches. This makes contact dermatitis a likely diagnosis. Avoid using the cellphone in such a way that it rests on this side of the face. Also, try to avoid sleeping on this side, as your face may be irritated by the pillow's surface. Avoid any known triggers and continue using the hydrocortisone cream.
Avatar f tn Did the doctor tell you what the Desonide Lotion was given to you to treat? They usually give it for things like eczema or psoriasis- if the spots were white it sounds like it may have been psoriasis, which can be a life long condition in some cases. I'd give your doctor a call to clarify the condition you had and let them know the spots have returned.
Avatar f tn i am always fully covered which seems weird to all my friends and everyone at school because only my best friend knows and has seen my eczema. i dont have eczema on my face which is the only place so to everyone else i look normal, whenever anyone at school asks whats on my hands i lie and say its some sort of rash i cant get rid of.

Avatar n tn s just a fungus that grows that doesnt allow that spot to tan. you can easily get sunspot treatment at either your doctor or you can even go to a tanning salon and ask for sunspot treatment... but im not a doctor, but it could be that...
