Common Questions and Answers about Eczema on face baby

eczema

Avatar f tn If it is baby acne, don't do anything to it. It'll go away on it's own.
384896 tn?1335294331 Well, does it look like tiny zits? red ones? Cause it could be baby acne which goes away on it's own and don't pop them... Her pours are working on their own, this happens to all kids at some point before their 1. If it was exzema it's be patches of dry and flakey stuff. I believe you probably know what it lookd like though, but really sounds like acne. You can put some Eucerin Cream/Lotion on it.
Avatar m tn Doctor says it is bacterial allergy which is on face. My forehead become allergic read on sides. Also have seen tendencu of wart formation in some of these rashes. Which is controled, but have noticed in past. Need your help, please.
Avatar f tn My son had excema on his face as a baby, I would put Eucerin brand lotion on it which seemed to help.
Avatar m tn There is a sharp line on both cheeks demarcating the normal area from the affected area. I wash with cetaphil face wash and afterwards the areas are extremely dry and flaky. I'm thinking its either eczema or seborrheic dermatitis? Any advice would help! I have seen my GP and he advised me to stop using anything for a week and to come back and see him. He hasn't made a diagnosis yet.
1395422 tn?1308016251 I have never experienced any type of eczema until now. It does run in my family, my mom has asthma and my baby has eczema. It is now to the point that I cringe when I have to feed him on that side. Can somebody tell me what to do to help ease the pain and/or make this go away. Also if anyone on here could share their experience with this, that would be nice. Thanks so much.
Avatar m tn I used aveeno baby lotion on my son and still do and he is now three and it works really well and there is also a soap for babies that is for eczema that you can get at walmart that comes in a teal bottle that has winnie the pooh on it
Avatar n tn Avoid using the cellphone in such a way that it rests on this side of the face. Also, try to avoid sleeping on this side, as your face may be irritated by the pillow's surface. Avoid any known triggers and continue using the hydrocortisone cream. The steroid is mildly potent so this may be safer to use over the face. Just apply thinly over the area. Avoiding the triggers is the main step to prevent recurrences.
1641357 tn?1470495393 I'm almost positive that I have eczema on my face. It's itchy, dry, red, scaly patches on my face mostly cheeks and forehead, but also around the edges of my mouth and sideburn areas. Along my hairline and my head. I've always had a problem with dandruff and i'm thinking it's moreso eczema now than dandruff. While I was pregnant it all went away (which i LOVED!) but now it's back and my face is super red and hurts and I can't stop scratching it!
Avatar f tn Hi my son is 6 and still struggles with this, mainly on his knees and elbows and a few spots on his face. We went to a dermatolgist and got meds there. They usually take care of a breakout in about 3 days. I also switched him to showers instead, seem to help.(i know u cant do that with a little one) Good luck.
Avatar f tn I have this red rough and itchy patches on my face on and off. It will get better and seem to go away only to come back. I have tried to see if I was allergic to something but I cant figure it out. It itches and burns and nothing I put on it helps. The doc put me on antibiotics for 10 days and it helped alittle but came back. My skin will flake after it starts to get better and then it will start all over. I thought maybe rosacea but I am not sure.
Avatar n tn Dr, I m suffering of dark blue / black patches on my face since last 3 years which were initiated from tip of the both ears now it is spreaded over entire face. Skin biopsy revealed that its LLP. Pl advice the treatment. Is it curable?
Avatar f tn My son has eczema really bad and I use Baby Aveeno the one with the dark blue cap and it works magic on him.
Avatar n tn Seborrheic dermatitis is a common skin condition that causes flaky, dry, white to yellowish scales to form on oily areas esp. under the nose or anywhere on face. Eczema is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema. My sincere advice would be to consult a dermatologist and get it evaluated as treatment is diagnosis specific. I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
689528 tn?1364135841 It sounds like either baby eczema or psoriasis...my oldest had that...its nothing too serious but definitely bring it up to the doctor...until then go to the pharmacy and get a thick cream non scented (i cant remember the brand i used) and put on babies effected area...dont rub it in completely though...a pharmacist can help you pick which one.
338963 tn?1253660822 My son had that and I would but aquaphor on it and let it soften up a bit then I would VERY GENTLY comb it out. The pimples on his face are likely baby acne, not eczema.
Avatar f tn I have what I believe is eczema on my face and it's red and itchy and I really just want to get rid of the redness and its very embarrassing to go anywhere!!!! I haven't been to a doctor because it comes and goes sometimes I don't know why and I just need something to get rid of the redness I'm visiting my dad and I don't want to go anywhere because it's just a red blotch around my mouth and Lower cheek...
1415174 tn?1453243103 It looks somewhat more rough on my face than on my legs and hands. I know I need to get to a dermatologist but I have a back problem and it is hard to get around.
Avatar n tn Okay, it does have its similarities to eczema in looks. But why only my face? Usually its on arms and legs. It doesnt get dry like eczema either. I just use a regular bar of soap on my face just like I always have.
Avatar n tn I woke myself up a few nights ago because my hand had began to itch. When i woke up in the morning i looked at it and a rash, consisting of small, itchy, red bumps, had appeared on the knuckles of both my pointer fingers. It has been about 4 days now and the rash has spread up my pointer fingers, to the next knuckles, down the side of my hands and to my elbows. I have had a slight history of eczema, however, it was on my neck area and i have not had a flare up in about 3 years.
Avatar n tn i normally use protopic cream on my face to keep eczema at bay, however these rashes seem to be different. They occur every so often on my chin, under my eyes and around the cheek/nose area. They look like little spots, and are especially tender under my eyes and more recently under my right eye it has begun to swell slightly whilst this red patch had been present. I don't feel the protopic is the right treatment for this.
