Hi,
A couple of months ago I had a red rash/dry spot show up on my bridge of my nose and my left part of my face under my eye. Since that time I have confirmed Eczema in my ears and on my scalp. Although the ears and scalp are annoying the spots on my face are really bothering me. I work in a professional environment and even with makeup they do not look very attractive. Prior to this rash/spots on my face showing up, I was vacationing in the Caribbean and they have not gone away.
The itchiness goes away but comes back at least once a month and does not go away for at least a week. My face gets red, blotchy, itchy, hot, it becomes dry at times, and the bumps below my ears.
I've been to my dermatologists many times, he has tried many things but it does not provide a permanent relief.
I have not had this problem until about 2 years ago. It has become more frequent...

The red starts from the temple and leads then to cheek bone area and stops about half an inch before the nose.
So for the past couple of months I've had red areas on my face and I can't get rid of them! I've tried using triple antibiotic ointment, cetaphil, and hydrocortisone cream but the affected areas havent gone away. The location of the red areas is on both ears, in front of each side burn area, the middle of my right cheek, and on my left jaw line. The rash tends to get really red and slightly itchy right after a hot shower or when I am hot.
Avoid using any lotions and creams over the face for the meantime. Wash your face with a mild cleanser with moisturizing properties like Cetaphil. Pat your face dry. Then apply a good hypoallergenic moisturizer over the area and see if this improves. If the symptoms still persist then you can apply mild steroid like dermacort.
If the irritation persists then please get it evaluated from a dermatologist. Other possibilities need to be ruled out after a biopsy skin.
it started with a small patch around my earlobes, then spread along my jaw and then finally covers my whole face and about halfway down the front of my neck as well as the back of my ears. the back of my neck has nothing.
they are really tiny, and look like perennial goosebumps that itch, making my skin feel really rough.
I'm in high school, and have had eczema my entire life. It was on my face, hands and arms when I was younger, but I grew out of it for a while. It only stayed on my arms, in the bend of my elbows, for my whole life. However, for the past year and a half or so, things have been getting worse.
At first, the eczema on my arms got really bad again. As a result, the elasticity there is pretty much obsolete.
I am a 53 year old male. I was in generally good health. Just the usual stuff. Blood pressure and cholesterol but otherwise OK. A year and a half ago I started getting some itchy patches on my back. They got a little worse and mostly covered my back then went down. Then I started to get this all over my trunk then legs and arms.

Also, other than the skin on my face being particularly dry and flaky, my ears seemed to be itchy at times of the day where there's no reason at all (at least not close to Napisan or L'Occitane cream "which I have found I am allergic to)..for example, when I was sitting in the car, the itch will start and stop like 3-4 min later. What can I do to "fix" this??
I have a rash on my face that started about 4 days ago, I don't know what it is but it is REALLY itchy, It's mostly concentrated on my cheeks, and forehead. Mostly my cheeks though, and it extends to my neck and ears. I do have a history of mild acne which has occurred on my forehead and chin but nothing to this extent. I'm dark skinned, or more like tanned so when i get acne i do have hyperpigmentation. Would cortisone help? If not is there any medication you could suggest.
Ive had this patch on my breast by my areola for a few months now it has itched but not is often it grew to the size of a quarter now i itch all over my body even my face and scalp and behind my ears. I have a severe case of eczema in the ears. My face is breaking out i also intake alot of pop and sugar. Im 33years old and i had my ovaries removrd around this time last year.

Around two weeks ago, during travelling, I suddenly started experiencing really, really dry and tight skin on the face (and even more so on my lips and ears - also had ear inflammation in both ears for the first time ever during that time too but I don't know if that's not too long of a shot to link it all together but just letting you know ;)).
I get hives every night if I don't take benadryl before I go to bed. Its not pregnancy related, as I've gotten them for years, but benadryl is on the approved medication list for pregnancy. Talk to your doctor for the best solution.
My wife developed this red rash on her on her face mostly on her cheeks and nose about six to eight months ago. At first we thought it was acne but no acne treatment helped. Our dermatologist doesn't know what it is. It happened about the same time she had her ears pierced. The backs of her ears have been swollen and red and she has a rash down the side of her neck starting from the base of her ears. She also says that her neck is itchy.
