Common Questions and Answers about Can you cut xyzal in half

xyzal

Avatar n tn www.drugs.com. This is a great website. You can look up the side effects of just about any medication you can think of. I would look up the possible side effects of xyzol tablets. Write down the side effects so you have them when you go for your doctor's appointment. Good luck to you.
Avatar f tn I know it sounds daft but he was told to try and eat a small handful of brazil nuts throughout the day they are a brill form of iron and they did seem to help. Hang in there you are doing really well. I wish you all the best for rest of tx.
351317 tn?1204751871 The 10mg zyrtec is too strong for me so can I cut it in half and take 5mg instead?
Avatar n tn No one can figure out what it is. I have taken everything from Benadryl, Xyzal, Zrytec, Singulair, Claritin, and Hydroxyzine. Nothing has worked. They have done blood work for lupus and many other blood tests. All came back negative. They have started taking me off one drug at a time, now I am only on Xyzal, Singulair and 2 Hydroxyzine HCL 25 daily. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could do or suggest what my doctor may need to test for. The only known allergy I have is fish.
Avatar f tn I've had some suggestions to cut the pills in half, but I have capsules, not tablets and they cannot be cut in half. What should I do??
Avatar f tn Would I be okay if I took a 5 mg of xyzal early in the morning and then another in the late afternoon? Thanks in advance!
Avatar f tn I dont do well with any antihistamines. I was taking Benadryl. There is also an injection you can get.
Avatar f tn I realize this may sound strange but I was wondering if any of you have a "pill cutter" at home or do you just cut your pill in half with a knife? I am cutting down on the dose of my beta blocker per my Doctor and I was wondering if I have to purchase a pill cutter or can I just cut it with a knife or razor? I am a little anxious because you aren't supposed to "crush or chew" these pills and I'm afraid that if I cut it.......perhaps it will be crumbly.
Avatar f tn This is not so much a question as a comment. and i was wondering if anyone else had this experience as i'd be curious to exchange notes .... Around 4 years ago I too took the flu jab. and a couple of days later - hives developed, which progressed rapidly till i went into anaphylactic shock. nice! a year of consultations, tests, medication and DESPAIR followed.
1059594 tn?1261323966 Isn't Opana Time Released? I know you're the doctor, but I don't think you should inform people to cut their medications in half, ESPECIALLY if they're time released as this could cause a rapid release of all the medication in turn making her more sick, or am I wrong? Avatar n tn Hey there...you cannot cut the dose in half....i would call your doctor and see if he/she can change your meds or if it's ok to stop..Levaquin can be given in 250, 500 & 750 mg doses...I was on Levaquin earlier this year for uti and had horrible side effects, so i just stopped taking the meds...I had horrible heart pounding, swollen knees and it felt as if someone had beaten the crap out of me with a baseball bat...
Avatar f tn Yes its ok to cut it in half. It should have a little place on the pill where to cut it. If you want to be absolutely sure you can always ask your pharmacist.
Avatar n tn If itching persists after you stop the drug for a few days, then you may take anti-histamines to treat it but you will first need to discuss this with your Physician.
Avatar f tn Thank you for the advice. It's good to know i'm not alone. Hopefully you won't mind if i do write to you for support.
Avatar f tn Metoprolol 25 mg. Does it make a difference in what I'm taking, wether I can cut in half or not? The PA knows what I am taking and he told me just to cut it.
Avatar m tn I am an 18 year old male. About a month ago towards the last half of March while I was on my computer I started to feel this pain at the left side of my neck by the back of my jaw or around there that would hurt when I would yawn or tilt my head to the left side.
Avatar f tn As long as you are doing this under the advise of your doctor, you are doing the right thing, in my experience. I also have hayfever this time of year and it drives me bonkers, but have you ever been prescribed an antihistamine our an OTC med for it? Keep us posted!
Avatar f tn I finally figured it out its was only happening the nightd he would have the xyzal....The xyzal made the outside of his lobes and his ears feel like they were on fire!!!
Avatar f tn Apply a good sunscreen with minimum spf 30 atleast half an hour before going out in the sun.You can take non-sedating antihistamines such as Cetirizine or Loratadine(Claritin) when the rash appears. Short courses of oral cortisone or steroids are taken for short periods (one to three days) to settle more severe symptoms. You may take Vitamin C along with the prescribed treatment. Vitamin C is a general anti-allergy supplement.
Avatar n tn With one pill a day I assume that they are extended release pills and would definitely not mess with them!
Avatar m tn I can vouch for the taste -- my psychiatrist has me dividing doses, which requires me to cut them in half. These pills are usually so small that's hard to do and pill cutters don't work because they're so small, so sometimes I get a taste of some crumbs. Yuck!
1610853 tn?1298230845 Thank you for your imput I was merely worried because I have heard of Herpatic Whitlow so it had me on edge but since I wasnt near where she has herpes I was merely trying to get another opinion seeing as how I am still just a teenager and really do not want to get herpes as I am careful as it is and rarely have sex
