I have taken Nexium and NEVER had any issue with or prone to "stomach viruses" at all. "Kills all the stomach acid"......not exactly sure what that means. The medication DOES alter your proton pumps associated with the acid production in your stomach thus lowering the acid in your stomach. People have different physiology and what might work for one patient might not work for another.

I've had GERD for a few years and I take 40mg of Nexium (Esomeprazole) every day. I'd like to try magic (Psilocybin) mushrooms. but to do that you have to realize they are not going to kill you and are no way life threatening. If you can manage that, you take away their teeth and they quit being the life controlling monster that they were. I could have written your post myself some years ago. I let panic and OCD just about take over my life. Do not do that, get help now. A good therapist can help you so much. And you really could benefit by taking some meds for your anxiety.
