Avatar m tn It hurts no matter how I lie to sleep. I have taken some pills that are not strong enough to take the pain away. I think I need the strong stuff like diclofenac and B12 and b6. There is a pills called OKA B that I use to take when having muscle pain and it took pains away. But I've heard that diclofenac is not good to take during tx. Has anyone taken diclofenac during tx or is it too bad for the liver.
Avatar m tn I am male 60yo have afib.I take warfarin and have been told painkillers mess with INR.
653169 tn?1303446369 For anti-inflammatory purposes, tumeric is usually used standardized for circumin, and combined with other anti-inlammatories, as natural remedies are usually used in combination. I use it in a combination with ginger, another hot herb; I take it with meals to avoid any back-up, if you know what I mean.
653169 tn?1303446369 Do what you can budget wise, my experiences is they all seem to work. When I told my doctor I was taking it with the diclofenac and I had no stomach issues he wrote it down and is now prescribing the Essential Enzyme with it. I use the voltaren gel mainly for my foot pain. I know what you mean, my pain is so wide spread it would be hard to have it on my body all over all the time.
Avatar f tn I have been using Warfarin for about 15 years and take a "senior" multivitamin that includes maintenance levels of zinc. Anytime you are considering taking high levels (much greater than the "daily minimums) it is best to check with your doctor. You may be a response from a local pharmacist and I'm sure (didn't check) a web search will turn up many opinions.
Avatar f tn Thanks for all the comments so far it sounds very incouraging!! So far it is helping me I think, it is for sure cutting down on the number and frequency of the narcotics I need.
1204528 tn?1588786333 I checked interactions with carbamazepine + diclofenac epolamine topical/diclofenac ophtalmic/diclofenac potassium/diclofenac sodium/diclofenac topical.
Avatar m tn Hello. My father has a surgery appointment for 6 hours later. This is a varicocele surgery on his testicles. He had a high fever a few hours ago. I injected diclofenac 75mg in his muscle due to his request. After that, I read about something like "Do not take diclofenac at least 7 days before a surgery". This is about the risk of bleeding, right? So, if his surgeon say that it will be ok, can we trust him? I'm freaking out. Please tell me what should I do. Thanks a lot.
Avatar f tn I had an allergic reaction to (apparently) a NSAID. I've taken a lot NSAID's all my life for different reasons. I also have a long history of allergies in my life (rhinitis, latex, dog and cat hair, contact and atopic dermatitis) and my grandmother was allergic to basically 90% of all drugs.
Avatar m tn Why would I stay on Pradaxa when I am not in A-Fib? 2nd Question. Is Coumadin safer than Pradaxa?
Avatar n tn So many questions... It wasn't prescribed to me, and that person is gone now. But the whole development of events forced me into extensively reading on how stuff works, and it was then that I said farewell to human-made drugs. Nowadays I go to the doctor just to get the blood test done once or twice a year... So, diclofenac blocks the proper functiong of the COX enzyme in our body. That's all it does. It doesn't cure anything, it doesn't repair anything...
Avatar m tn t see how they could treat with warfarin under those circumstances. Anyone taking warfarin must be monitored routinely with a PT to check clotting factor. Warfarin can be some nasty stuff but if reduces fibrosis what the heck. They've thrown every other drug at us and we still keep bouncing back. Thanks for the info.
Avatar m tn Im do my phycial therapy excires 3 times a week and I do all of them not just some but is do them all. Is there any thing you can help me with like pain I get tired of taking advil and pain killers etc. or what it might be?
Avatar n tn Sometimes there is bleeding at the cite of cath penetration, and with anti-platelet medication there can be excessive bleeding....also there is a small risk of a puncture with a cath. I didn't have any problems with bleeding, etc. but after reading thousands of posts on the subject many patients experience problems. I recently had a colonoscopy and was told to stop anti-platelet medication 6 days prior to procedure and there is a risk of excessive bleeding if there were polyps...none found.
Avatar n tn i have taken diclofenac for over 20 years with no side effects i have had to come off the tablets 75mg x twice day 4 days ago as I am showing some drying of kidneys from another mediation to ensure it is that one i have come off anything whih might affect me.
Avatar f tn I have been on plavix for years with no problem but this warfarin is messing with me big time. I have been dealing with migraines for a couple weeks and after the first dose it seemed to help..even when i got up i felt much better not like my whole circulation was contricted like it normally does...same this morning...but i also had a headache yesterday that felt different that developed..
Avatar n tn My cardiologist disagreed with my stopping warfarin but I felt that I had no option but to replace it with aspirin. After six weeks most of my joint pains have gone. The exception being my already arthritic hip.
Avatar f tn I am sorry you are having so much trouble with warfarin. What are your INR rates? I was placed on warfarin when I was diagnosed with AFib. It was hard for me to maintain therapeutic levels, too. Because I did not want to risk a stroke, I chose to fight and figure out how to make warfarin management work. So I made an appointment with a dietitian associated with with my coumadin clinic. That paid off in many ways. I learned to manage all the foods with vitamin K.
Avatar f tn I take warfarin everyday. I had aortic valve replacement in 2001 and had an artificial heart valve installed. The downside to that is I will have to take blood thinners for the rest of my life because of the artificial valve. That is not the case with a tissue valve. It has really not had any affect on me at all. The one thing that I know warfarin affects is Vitamin K. Vitamin K is what causes your blood to clot. Therefore the warfarin cancels out some of the Vit.

351404 tn?1299489130 I'm also a little confused with my situation. I was diagnosed with an episode of atrial flutter on the 23 december 2010. I was placed on warfarin for 2 weeks, then taken off it. I was then told i'm in sinus rythm, back to normal. i kept away fro the gym for one month just to make sure When i returned to the gym i was fine for a month. Exactly 2 moths later on the 17th of Feb it started again and on the 22nd both episodes for 35 minutes first thing in the morning.
Avatar f tn However, if you vary significantly on some days, those days will have either too high to too low a coagulation result from your medication. I do very well with Warfarin, and I take a multi vitamin every day that in fact contains some "K", but I take the exact same amount every day and I try to have some salad or other "K" containing food each day to keep my intake near some regular (unmeasured) level. I take 5 mg of Warfarin every evening, before going to bed.
1569985 tn?1328247482 The exam always results in one or more polyp being removed (surgery) and the doctor has never said anything about too much bleeding. Best I can recall I forgot one time to stop the warfarin, or I was off only the night before the colonoscopy. There were no problems. I take my warfarin before bed, so my time off warfarin is more like 1.5 days than two days. I go back on warfarin right after the exam, may take 7.5 mg instead of the usual 5 mg to get back on INR faster.
