Bystolic long term effects

Common Questions and Answers about Bystolic long term effects

bystolic

Avatar m tn I am not very familiar with the new beta blocker that you are on currently, however, it is very possible that this may be one of its side-effects. As long as your are not fatigued or short of breath you are ok now, but if this truly is case you will have to stop this medication. I am not sure how the diarrhea fits into all this. I would mention this to your physician.
Avatar n tn arrythima is what it is called, a term I am getting to know better than I want too. Have a cardio check it. They will most likely put him on an EKG and get an echo. Arrythmia's can be nothing but they can also be serious - no point in messing around with it.
Avatar n tn I am a 63 female taking 10 mg Bystolic once in the evening. I have been taking it for a year now and lately have been feeling light headed and slightly dizzy in the mornings when I wake up and then throughout the day. Is this a side effect of this drug? It was prescribed mainly for the rapid heart beats.
Avatar m tn You should really ask your Dr , but I would say no way!! I don't know your age but long term BP issues destroy the valves in the penis system and they will cause erections problems that meds will not help .. With this issue ,The valves will not hold the blood In the penis , therefore , erection will fail to stay hard ..
214864 tn?1229715239 I took Bystolic for High BP for two years. I developed a blood clot in my leg. A trip to the hospital, removal of the clot and I have a-fib and heart rate dropping to very low number{lower 30's}. Now, the healthy heart I had is damaged from Bystolic. I am told I must have a pacemaker to keep my heart rate above 50 and so they can give me strong drugs to stop the a-fib. I have been to see my doctor very often to complain that I am unable to function because of fatigue.
Avatar f tn Just curious if anyone who is taking bystolic experiences side effects all the time, or if it is a gradual onset after dosing, or what? My side effects always seem to hit me in the late afternoon, early evening. I take my dose anytime between 6am and 7am.
Avatar f tn This works well to control my tachy....but, has bad side effects of anxiety, restlessness and agitation. I lookd up Bystolic..and it has none of these type side effects listed. I was going to ask my doctor to change to Bystolic. Has anyone here had any success in changing over to Bystolic from Metoprolol ?
7163794 tn?1457366813 myself to get up? Is this in my head, or is it possible there are long term effects to pain meds and suboxone use? Could it just be me? Has anyone else felt this?
Avatar f tn Does anyone know the long term effects of abusing pain killers? I found out today that a friend of my husbands actually had seizures because of how long she was on vicodin. Just curious.

Avatar f tn BUT, I have to take it or I am in pain. So try not to worry so much about the long term effects when you are trying to survive today. If you are worried about this I would talk to my doctor and let them know what you are experiencing and there may be something they can do differently. Just dont stop any seizure med without a doctors help. Hope you feel better..
Avatar m tn I have no symptoms and feel great; I am 54 and wondering if HEP C would kill me or if the treatment could cause long term effects that could ruin my health. The longest living male in my family was my father 86 and had slow progressive dementia the last 10 years.
1217309 tn?1267050177 I took Lexapro for about a month and at first it worked, but it felt like I was a zombie (hope that makes sense) kind of zoned out - I assume that's what it's supposed to do? dr never told me anything. I didn't notice any help with anxiety/depression issues though and when my month was done, I didn't go back. Still woke up with nightmares, panic attacks etc. btw...
Avatar m tn •Have a slow heartbeat or your heart skips beats (irregular heartbeat) I'm guessing that my doctor thinks my heart palpitations are not considered an irregular heartbeat? I'll ask him but I found this a little scary.
Avatar f tn The Dr put me on Bystolic, but it was samples and there is no information on side effects. I have started having stomach problems and acid reflux lately. Can the Bystolic be causing this? What would be other good choices?
Avatar n tn ve been on metoprolol before, and had some awful side effects with that one, but the bystolic seems to tame those down quite a bit for me. I've only had two instances in which I could tell I was experiencing some slight side effects (dizziness, slight shortness of breath, pressure). I've also been told by my GP that, if I find myself with a rapid heart rate or back in A-fib, I can take another 2.5mg dose right then, since it's such a small dosage.
343006 tn?1314446471 as now iv been on verapamil and spirolactone for about 5 or 6 years , I have long term side effects from the ccb verapamil and cant sleep at night due to night mares and internal like jitters.. along with some wake ups and rapid heart beats. I can no longer take it !! I tryed last month bystolic and verapamil per doctors orders - and couldnt handle that. got chest pains and palpations. stopped the bystolic and symptoms went away ..
Avatar m tn With all that said, I guess my major question is are these some of the side effects when taking Bystolic? Should I go back to my Doctor and request he put me back on Atenolol? I believe the Atenolol was doing the job. I had a few spikes and most of them were while in a Doctors office. I might add I have been taking the Atenolol since my Heart Surgery in 1996.
687614 tn?1244197979 Now they are thinking of Inderal, but it has more of these side effects that Bystolic. My dx just came today... Sino Atrial Node Dysfunction... of which I have started as another post.
343006 tn?1314446471 a cardio doctor recent, put me on 10mg of bystolic and 120mg verapamil daily - for 3 days I was fine-after that became sick throwing up and couldnt sleep at night. doc then said to cutt down to 5mg bystolic and 60mg verap on this doseage after 3 weeks of going threw hell. I got sort of use to it - now though doc changed me to this dose 2.5 mg bystolic & 60mg verap a.m time daily - and 2.5 mg bystolic at night time - ugg !! gets the b.p down ok .
