Byetta travel bag

Common Questions and Answers about Byetta travel bag

byetta

Avatar n tn I used Byetta for a long time and I am not an expert or medical person. You are best to get the information from your doctor. Before I started using Byetta, I had to take classes from a nurse on how I had to inject Byetta into my stomach. It was prescribed by my Doctor. Byetta has side effects reported by some people but I had no problems with it other than the expense. It does give you a feeling of fullness and it has a nickname (Spit).
Avatar m tn I would really like some help with this. Byetta has been wonderful so far, and I've lost 30 lbs, yay! But now I've developed insomnia - terrible, only 3 hours of sleep a night insomnia, which has never bothered me before. If I skip my second Byetta shot for the day, I can usually get a full night's sleep. So that's certainly a clue that I may not be able to take the full two doses of Byetta a day.
Avatar f tn I see that this is under juvenile diabetes, which I know even less about. But, Byetta is remarkable for a lot of folks, and there are two newer, similar, products available also.
178107 tn?1315947630 Has anyone used Byetta? I started taking it four weeks ago and it has done wonders on controling my blood sugars and I have also lost 16 pounds. My doctor told me that it may help me to drop a few pounds, but I never thought it could help that much. I admit it does make you nausious, but I can take that for the weight loss.
Avatar n tn I actually started on Victoza about 3 months ago. I had to change to Byetta in about 2 weeks (finished Victoza sample and insurance would only pay for Byetta). I developed nausea at the smaller dose of Victoza, and never used the larger dose. The nausea was unchanged with the change of meds.....and I have lost a LOT of weight (29 pounds). But the nausea started within a day or two of starting it. At least for me.
Avatar f tn In my bag I have a small bathroom bag with travel shampoo and soap and conditioner, travel toothbrushes for me and hubby, with travel toothpaste. And travel deoderant. Ziplock bag of period pads, ziplock bag of breast pads. Fuzzy slippers and a robe. Thus far. I will add fuzzy night time pants cus they stretch and will keep me warm plus fuzzy socks. A comfy shirt and a nursing bra or two. And a towel. Then clothes for hubby and a pillow and blanket for him. All in one bag to.
Avatar f tn I did a lot of international travel during tx, carrying ribavarin, peginteron pens, Procrit and syringes. I carried the injectables in an insulated thermocool bag with ice packs. I always carried my meds on, would not dare place them in checked bags both because of the risk of losing them and the risk of breakage. At security I would advise what I was carrying and ask that the bag be examined by hand. I travelled in Europe, Mexico and the Caribbean without incident.
Avatar n tn Has the doctor taken you off of Byetta? I am on byetta and just found out I am pregnant. I am scared that something could go wrong. I have waited 7 years to concieved. Have you heard of any damaging side effects with Byetta? I am off now and only 4 weeks pregnant. I just know what to think.
Avatar f tn My fasting glucose level has increased in the last month. I've been taking my meds as directed and my diet has remained the same. I've been injecting Byetta for nearly two years (twice a day). My husband saw that there is a class action suit against the manufacturer because of side effects, damage to the pancreas. I did some reserch on line and found there are all kinds of side effects, damage to the kidneys, liver and G.I. issues.
Avatar f tn I have been sick with a cold/flu for three weeks. Two days ago, I developed diarrhea. It seemed to occur immediately after eating. Today, the diarrhea was bright yellow and I passed something the size of a small grape (also yellow in color). I'm currently on synthroid (for hypothyroidism), effexor (for depression), and metformin & byetta (for insulin resistence). I've been on the Byetta for nearly a month, but have not suffered any side effects to date.
502219 tn?1311357910 In March while following up on a case of Ludwigs Angina my enhanced CT scan showed.small non pathologically enlarged lymph nodes bilaterally with some inhomogeneity within the thyroid. I hadn't really worried about it until today when I saw a commercial for a law firm warning that the diabetic drug "Byetta" could cause thyroid cancer. I used this med for over a year in 2006 and was taken off because of other complications. Now I'm scared. Should I be?
Avatar m tn I was diagnosed with type II diabetes 3 months ago. I was started on byetta at the routine initial dose which was increased 2 months ago. I am only taking byetta, and no oral hypoglycemics (metformin, etc.)I have lost 29 lbs in that length of time, primarily due to decreased appetite, nausea, and vomiting. I understand that this is in all likelyhood due to delayed gastric emptying. My question: Is this ever going to get better???
Avatar n tn I didn't respond to your question. I don't know anything about Byetta.
Avatar n tn Any experienced mothers opinion on what I should pack in my hospital bag for delivery would be greatly appreciated!
Avatar n tn I packed my bag at like 39 weeks lol way too late.
Avatar f tn I'm due in nine weeks and I was wondering when should I start packing a hospital bag and what to put in..
Avatar f tn Some of us have just finished holiday travel, and one of our members was heading off for 50 days of world travel last May and uses the nickname "Milesy"! So perhaps this would be a good time to pool our collective wisdom about travel tips for those with MS or in LimboLand. What worked well for you? What would you do differently next time? Do you tip airport wheelchair pushers? Any tips specific to particular airlines or modes of travel (train, plane, bus, taxi, cruise ship)?
Avatar f tn t use because they give you these weird underwear things that I actually found more comfy then regular underwear for a few days), a tank top, socks, and slippers all for my self. Along with a little travel size hygiene product bag with my own little shampoo, conditioner, body wash, tooth past, tooth brush, and comb. I bought a little travel size deodorant as well. The travel size items are perfect because you won't need much and they don't take up tons of room.
Avatar f tn I packed two different size outfits one a little larger just in case.
9312971 tn?1412807102 But I do have the toiletries packed in a lil clear bag with travel shampoo and conditioner, and soap. Travel sized deoderant for me and hubby, travel toothbrushes for us both with travel toothpaste and a tube of chapstick. A ziplock bag of period pads and breastpads. And some warm slippers for me. With babies outfits. When I finish packing I'll have towels, clothes for hubby and I, a blanket and a pillow for hubby.
Avatar n tn Are you a type 1 or type 2 diabetic? He is type 2 he started taking a new medication called byetta. You inject in your arm before you meals. My husband has lost 40 lbs in the last 6 months. He just can't eat like he used to since he has been on the byetta. It curves your appetite and apparently helps your body produce it's own insulin. It might be something you want to run by your endo doctor. Let me know.
Avatar f tn We live right beside the hospital so it's not as concerning if we forget something or need to run home to grab it. So far I packed a few pads a pair of underwear (I need more lol) an old beat up top just to lounge in 2 other nicer tops just in case pair of pants I think? Travel shampoo and conditioner toothpaste deodorant & still pAcking for us. Baby has a couple short sleeved onsies & baby blanket so far lol.
Avatar f tn This is from babyberry000 journal entries; she have more tips if you need them: mommy: rob/ slippers (something comfy, you could be there over 48 hours) flip flops (for shower) Travel sized: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, mouthwash, toothbrush, toothpaste.
