Hi! If you were my patient, I would advise you that buproprion can cause a false positive drug test for amphetamines. THC is marijuana. Buproprion is probably not the problem. Good luck!

Since my first rapid test was reactive, is it likely that a second one would be too (assuming the first was a false positive) Are false positives caused by something in the blood of the person taking the test or is just a problem with that specific test?

I am taking fluoxetine 40 mg and Bupropion 300 extended release. I started a new job about a month ago and have been going full steam ahead. I have had 4 days off and have woke up anxious the last three of them as well as feeling a little depressed. Is anyone getting ringing in the ears from taking Generic Wellbutrin(Bupropion sr ) 150 mg. Here is my situation I have been on amitriptiline 25 mg 4 years then went up to 50 mg for 3 years. I started taking only one 150 mg of bupropion sr this is my 5 day. Can I stop taking the amitriptiline with no withdrawls after only 5 days of Bupropion? or has it not been long enough. I hoping that I can stop the amitriptiline by taking the bupropion sr in place of the amitriptiline.

I am suffering from I believe depression I have problems sleeping this has recently started wierd thoughts and its very disturbing, I feel said and hopeless my doctor put me on Bupropion and I felt better the first day the next day I eel over active different? My husband has been taking Bupropion HSL SR 150mg for a few months and it doesn't seem to be working as well as the Bupropion XL 150mg he was taking for a few years before he was switched because, the pharmacy said, they could not get the Bupropion XL 150mg at that time. My doctor has decided that Depression is the cause of my anxiety, and has upped my bupropion to 450 mg a day until the tremors and shaking started, then he lowered me back down to 300. If it said positive, then it's positive. There's no such thing as a false positive unless your test was a blue dye test. Congrats! You can look into medicaid if you can't afford to go to the Dr.

The causes of false positive HSV2 tests are unknown. You'll find websites that talk about infection with other viruses in the herpes group, but that explains few if any false positive result. That your partner has a negative result is great, but it doesn't mean anything in regard to your test result. You still need additional testing if you want to sort this out.

Do you have the exact numerical results for your test you had done last week or did they really only say negative/positive?

Since this number is really low, and my only partner teste negative, my doctor said to forget about it since it is more than likely a false positive? which apparentally are not uncommon? What do you guys think? Just forget about the matter and keep an eye out for any possible lesions?
