Money is so tight and now our car is broken down. It's like one thing after another. It is so stressful. I already feel like a failure of a parent.
Last night we opened our backdoor to find a stray kitty (adolescent male). I noticed he was malnourished and gave him some milk and chicken (all I had for an animal). Then I noticed he was favoring one leg. I think it might be broken! I've called a few places and no one wants to deal with him, of course. They're just going to want to euthanize him instead of help him.
So my question is this--- what do I do?!?!?!?!
Please get him in sooner than a few days. You don't want that leg to start healing, if it's broken and hasn't been set. That could run into more money, if he needs to go into surgery and they need to rebreak it.

I wanted him seen ASAP because of the broken rear leg. The x-rays showed that the injury was about a month old and that it was already healed. It wasn't just a little break but the femur was actually snapped off. In order to fix it, they'd have to do a surgery that costs over $1500. Or... amputation (around $450- including pain meds).
My question is--- do we HAVE to do anything? When we found him he wouldn't walk on the leg and I thought it was a new injury.
they constantly rotated her legs and stretched them out again to check her hips before fracture was dianosed. then they put a cast on on the bottom of her leg instead of the top. would all of these mistakes have made the fracture worse than it originally was.
I felt the ledes and i felt no broken bones i squzed her feet she polded it back but i thank she only feels pressure. once in a wile she monuvers on top of her feet but the one leg is like she is standing on her top nuckels. what is wrong with her in your oppion. i dont have money to taker her to the vets i just lost my job. pleese just tell my if it is life threting.
Believe it or not, my van ran over my leg 3.5 weeks ago. Long story short: I thought I had it in park, but it was in reverse. I got out and it started rolling away backward downhill & I tried to chase it down the driveway. I never made it inside & fell, getting my left left run over by the front tire. hi, my daughter broke her ankle on Sunday and because of lack of money hasn't been able to find someone who is willing to put a cast on it. She went to a emergent care center and they put it in a splint. They do not put casts on at this place but they recommended a place for her. Since she has no money for the cast, no one's been willing to help.including the place they referred her to. They are wanting about 900 to 1200 dollars to put a cast on.
I was in a half cast, basically on the back of my leg and below the foot for a touch over a week, so I was unable to move my ankle and leg and was on crutches. Then 2 days ago I went to the outpatients department and the doc took the cast off me and told me to start walking on it with the aid of crutches as it isn't the weight bearing bone.
He said that the bone will heal by itself without the cast and even with me putting a bit of pressure on it.
I do not have a doctor because of money but I do have medcare. But im resposable for the twenty percent. Anyway I have nothing holding the broken femur they took all hardware out five years ago they found infection under the plate so they treated me with six weeks of vagomyason. I m getting worried about infection. my leg doesnt have fever but could infection be doing damage to my body without me knowing it?
