My questions are, what are my chances that this could be a sign of cancer, and praying that its not, would I still be a candidate for breast augmentation surgery? Im worrying myself sick over all of this and very nervous about the results!
I had breast augmentation 15 years ago and my left breast is still numb on one side. Touching it is like touching someone else, it's creepy because I can't feel it. The nipple feeling came back after awhile but not very much. I do not like for it to be touched at all. My husband has just learned to stay away from that one! hi,I had a breast augmentation 3 weeks ago.It was done on monday august 18th.On thursday august 21 i woke up to a hard painful mass on my left chest on the upper part of it.It's right where the cleavage is.Its the size of a ping pong ball.It hasn't gotten any better.It hurts so bad that when i go to get up i cry.I went to the emergency room that saturday and they did an ultra sound and said there's a big mass but nothing contaning fluid and then kicked me out the door.
I had my breast operation about 7 weeks ago, with no complications and im very pleased with the outcome. My question is how long should i wait to start wearing underwire bras again??
Actually, if your nipple still has feeling, the chance are high. Breast augmentation (breast implants) isn't a reason alone not to be able to produce breast milk. Most likely, it depends on the kind of surgery you had, but most approaches are compatible with breastfeeding. Incisions made under the fold of the breast or through the armpit shouldn't cause any trouble. A "Smile" incision around the areola increase your risks of breastfeeding complications.
Your situation is more complicated both because it is not a primary breast augmentation and also your surgeon may have different ideas about post-op care. I suggest you discuss this with him/her.
