Boniva good reviews

Common Questions and Answers about Boniva good reviews

boniva

Avatar f tn Bisphosphonates like Boniva have been associated rarely with uveitis. You would experience ocular pain, blurred vision, light sensitivity, loss of vision and possibly glaucoma if you had uveitis. Your ophthalmologist would be able to tell you right away if you had any uveitis and the Boniva could be discontinued if that were the case.
Avatar f tn Is boniva a possible cause of papilloma virus on the eyelid going into the conjunctiva? This discussion is related to uveitis of the eye caused by Boniva.
Avatar f tn I noted that for the last several months whenever I took Boniva I had significant swelling under both eyes. Thus, when this past Sunday, 5/23 I developed the papilloma on my left lower eyelid (center) which at first seemed to have a point on top & next day became more elongated I thought Boniva. I would appreciate any feedback as to cause & what possible treatment. It, not very large & seems to be same size this first week.
212161 tn?1599427282 does anyone take Boniva and how bad were the side effects
Avatar f tn The technician looked at my med list and asked if I am taking Boniva and Synthroid. I answered yes. I take other meds other than those two she mentioned. I told her that I understood why she asked about the Boniva but I didn't understand why she asked about Synthroid. She told me that thyroid meds take from the bones and causes osteoporosis. WHAT??? How come no doctor ever told me?
Avatar f tn I had mild osteopenia prior to my OVCA dx in Mar. 2004. I was told that it would worsen after the chemo (carbo/taxoterre), and it did. Not terribly, but a decrease in bone mass just that same. I started on Boniva and my cholesterol shot up about 120 points. I just stopped that recently and my numbers dropped by 80 points. Seems there are downsides for everything. Now taking Viactiv with vitamins D & K, 3 chews a day. Will have another bone density next April.
Avatar m tn But her bone density tests (I think) are fine. One physican gave her Synthroid, another told her to stop. One perscribed Boniva, another said no, cause she is a young lady. Here are her labs. Any comments? Bone Marker Tests: TP1NP: 26.57 (Range: 20.00 to 100.0 ng/ml) Vitamins D: 42.27 (Range: 50.00 to 100.0 nmol/l) Osteocalcin: 19.49 (Range: 11.00 to 43.00 ng/ml) B-CTx: . 265 (Range: ???) Parathormone: 30.02 (Range: 15.00 to 65.00 pg/ml) Calsium 2.
Avatar f tn I also started bleeding this morning!!! Does anyone who lives in the chicago area know of any good doctors!!???
Avatar f tn I visit Dr Kecia Gerlach at Bayard obgyn.. but i guess u first have to take a call on the hospital bcoz they have to be affiliated with the hospital... second deciding factor would be if the doctor is covered by your insurance as out of network care could be expensive... U can send me a message if any questions.. hope this helps..
Avatar f tn extremely swollen right leg especially around knee joint - could not even bend knee, terrible hip pain and two days later a tooth abscess. What are the chances I can tolerate Boniva once a month? My Endocrinologist wants me to try it.
Avatar n tn I have had very little problems with Prolia. I've done 4 injections over the past 2 years. Just a little bit of bone pain for the first 2 wks after the injection then, it goes away. That said, unfortunately, for me, my DEXA did not improve and my osteoporosis in my spine (the T-score) did not get better. Now, my doctor is sending me to a 'bone' clinic that apparently specializes in bone disorders such as osteoporosis.
Avatar f tn I was taking the hormones to help my bones, as I have osteopenia and rheumatoid arthritis. I am on prescription drugs to help the bones (Boniva and calcium and vit. d). I'm worried about breast cancer with continuing the hormones. I had a partial mastectomy on my right breast which was benign. I had a cluster of microcalcifications which looked supicious, but turned out to be benign (big sigh)! Okay now my question.
Avatar f tn I cannot take the Boniva that has been prescribed for me as I also have Gastroparesis. I only take Lipitor right now. I was on Tapezole for 4 years because I also have Graves Disease.
1735424 tn?1357433558 Good luck on starting tx and obtaining SVR, I think with these new drugs the chances are excellent! I am on week 13 of tx, and 5 weeks with Vic. My white blood count dropped pretty fast, so that I was on weekly Neupogen injections by week 5. The doc said I had an excellent response to Interferon apparently. My hemoglobin started at 14 and by week 12 was down to 10. The doc just reduced my Riba from 1000 mg to 800.
1238678 tn?1321857976 I was on lupron for 6 months. The one thing I did not like it is I felt scattered brained. It sure helped with the pain because I did not have a period for about 6-8 months and that was wonderful. If you do lupron be sure to get add back therapy. My doctor says it is the equivalent of torture for a doctor to prescribe lupron without add back. Mine also took blood work every time I got my next injections. I one every four weeks. My doctor refuses to do the three month. Which is fine with me.
Avatar f tn A good girdle that will help you especially if you have a csection since I have already had one before. Good priced too. Thanks Ladies.
Avatar f tn He was greatly impacted by the cognitive challenges. He gives good information on describing the cognitive symptoms and how he dealt with them. It was so good and so insightful, I passed this book along for my husband to read. He also found it a helpful read....and think his comment was "wow....I understand more of what is happening to you, and can understand better what you have not been able to describe." So, this is a plus+plus.
Avatar f tn t what should she do will she continue to sleep based on medicine knowing that not everyday she is being able to sleep. She did blood test iron level is good, vit B is good.
Avatar f tn When I read the reviews about conceive plus on Amazon, I thought I would be pregnant the very next cycle. It's been 4 months and nothing so far. I'm not saying it doesn't help, it's probably better than "regular" stuff....it just hasn't helped for us. I don't mind the texture....there were negative comments about the texture but I don't mind it.
Avatar n tn She does not have any cramping, but they are watery. This all started when she began to take Boniva several months ago. She stopped taking it 2 months ago. I have suggested that it has not all left her system yet and this may take some time. She has not changed her diet or any meds. She is a creature of habit and eats and does the same things every day. She is 90 yrs old and still very able and mobile.
Avatar n tn Hi Kzam Welcome to the Pain Mangement Forum. I am sorry to hear about your mom's painful condition. I think you are talking about several different things, There are different treats for osteoporosis one of the more popular and common are bisphosphonates. They are given generally prescribed orally and include Fosamax, Actonel and Boniva. They can cause some severe stomach distress as they did for my father. When this happens there are injectable forms of bisphosphonates.
Avatar f tn I live in Florida and I could probably manage to get to Jacksonville. I always like to hear good things from patience that have seen a doctor before I go, and since you like your doctor, may I ask who you see (as I suppose there are probably a couple there)? I still want to look for someone closer, but I would still like to hear your experience if you don't mind sharing.
Avatar n tn in order to treat osteo you need to be on fosmax/ boniva or like substances and have hrt. your doctor you should sue.... because he perscribed it while having the knowledge of your bone health knowing it decreases the amount of calcium in your bones.
Avatar n tn How good is bonista injections, to strengthen the bones? This discussion is related to Bonista-side effects.
Avatar n tn Internet reviews or asking your friends and family are probably your options... If you have a primary care/family doctor, you could ask them who their office recommends. That's how I found my obgyn.
Avatar f tn I want to see a woman for my prenatal care. How do I know who is a good obgyn in my area? Can I just call their office and set up an appointment without talking to my usual doctor? I'm 9 weeks pregnant.
