Avatar m tn I do not push myself during exercise due to fear of a cardiac issue as well. I get exercise induced PVCs sometimes and that is scary. I think they are PVC's as no doctor has seen or recorded them, but he said thats what it most likely was. I am very annoyed at the fact I cannot get my BP to be below 120 no matter what I try. The PVCs started a year ago. I test my own BP as well on different machines and it always is about the same. Any ideas?
Avatar m tn I began to suffer some problems after severe stress trauma caused by a person in my life. i escaped him but began to suffer blood pressure and pains in head like stroke. if i exhorted to soon. although then five years ago it was in a place if i was rested i felt i could outwit it. my dr did not remove me and left me to suffer more severe stress. even getting to a place to treat myself was straining me. but i did recover a lot and rise up.
Avatar m tn On a recent stress test study we examined: 32 y/o mother of two w/ good exercise capacity; however, she had had borderline high blood pressure (H 140/90, L 110/70) for appx 4 years untreated with the exception of lifestyle modification. Test end time was 15:30 of the Bruce protocol, Frequent PVC's were present at 13:46 (appx 9 PVCs during the 13th minute, no pattern, random). She was asymptomatic but could feel the pvc's, not pain but some type of unusual feeling. BP at max 180/90.
492537 tn?1214326041 At the follow-up visit with my doctor, she told me that she recommended removal of the ovaries (an oopherectomy, the Big O-O) as well as a hysterectomy to remove the uterus. The cervix was up to me. There were several options and combinations of surgeries possible. Since the other ovary was not affected, theoretically, that could stay. However, given the chances of future cysts and ovarian cancer, the decision to remove both ovaries was easy.
Avatar f tn -( when I developed cracked nipples so thought I had to stop. He was 8 months but always had 1 supplement of formula in 24 hrs since birth. Stopping contributed to the postnatal depression I developed when he was 9 month as I felt I'd lost my purpose when I stopped bf. I felt guilty - I know now that was silly. I wish I hadn't let iy get to me so much. Depression was awful and took 5 months to recover. I will always feel guilty that I got that illness.
116879 tn?1266519849 Swimming is also a nice low-impact exercise, if you're comfortable enough in the water. As an added bonus, the water keeps you nice and cool.
Avatar f tn I'm not saying that it's a cure all, but it has helped my LFT's stay much lower than they were prior than my starting the exercise routine. My blood sugar, blood pressure, heart rate, cholesterol, all in the normal/good range.
Avatar n tn I recently landed a nice job with an excellent health insurance that will cover the surgery (but they want 6 months of doctor supervised diet/exercise recorded). At her first doctor's appointment yesterday her blood pressure was taken and was 150/110. Her doctor said that if some pills don't work she will have to be hospitalized. I'm terrified that she will have a stroke, heart-attack or anuerism, before we get her surgery aproved.
335728 tn?1331418012 15 tomorrow for an assessment for the lung health clinic where they are supposed to help me with an exercise and diet program that I can do with my asthma. They will do a 2 hour assessment tomorrow and then I am to start on Oct. 29th every tues and thurs from 1130 to1430 for 8 weeks! This is in the downtown core of the city so it will be a challenge to get there for me alone.
Avatar f tn For this reason remember.....if you are getting some blood tests (like LFT's) no extreme exercise first since it could skew your results. I looked into this after running a competitive 5K race and then getting my blood drawn a few days later. Not the best idea..... My apologies for being grumpy, but it was in the interest of qualifying things a little.
Avatar f tn Absolutely! Exercise makes a HUGE difference to my moods. If I don't exercise for 2 days, I'm totally grumpy. It's difficult to get started when I'm down. But I try not to think about how much I don't feel like it, how cold it is, or whatever other excuse - and rather 'think Nike' and JUST DO IT! I can even handle certain annoying people after exercise. And I think I blend in better socially after a good workout.
Avatar f tn This question of whether a lack of minerals is causing your symptoms seems like it could be confirmed or ruled out through blood testing. However, one thing to keep in mind is that standard blood testing does not cover all electrolytes. You may need to ask about additional testing. Also, when they said "slightly" irregular, did they indicate anything more specific? This seems vague. Exercise does help some things.
Avatar n tn That shouldn't happen...have you gotten it checked out? Exercise should make the heart rate increase. What type of exercise do you generally do where this bradycardia/SOB occurs?
Avatar n tn Type 1 diabetes is when the pancreas does not produce insulin. Type 2 diabetes is most often diagnosed in people who are overweight, do not exercise and have a history of neglecting the needs of their bodies. Therefore Type 2 diabetics still produce insulin but their bodies do not use the insulin sufficiently or I could say properly. Anyway, why don't you try talking to your parents, maybe there was some miscommunication.
Avatar f tn I've been trying to exercise from the beginning of my cycle until the procedures, but after that my abdomen has been sore and crampy for a week following the IUIs and exercising is uncomfortable. Also - I'm having psychological fears about exercising after procedures. I am putting everything into them working and am scared about the implantation process and perhaps having thinner linings than the regular person because of fertility drugs.
Avatar n tn When stress, like exercise, increases the heart rate, it makes you a higher risk for stroke and heart attack in this profession. Since the stress levels suffered by EMTs in emergency situations, your heart rate may prevent you from getting and keeping a job. Alot of time exercises that are aerobic bring down the heart rate. Biking, swimming, low impact aerobics and power walking are good exercises that will give you a good workout without raising your heart rate too high.
Avatar n tn I'm a 20 y/o active male. I've recently (within the last 4 years) developed somewhat odd symptoms. Randomly, when doing any kind of exercise after just a few seconds I lose my vision and hearing, then faint soon after with chest pain and breathing difficulty. When I regain consciousness I vomit for upto 20 minutes after. Usually, after 30-60 minutes of rest, I feel fine again and everything is back to normal.
Avatar f tn Polycystic disease of the ovary with insulin resistance is the third cause. Fasting blood sugar, blood sugar after 2 hours of food and glucose tolerance test should all be performed.Along with all these menopausal evaluation must be done. Hope this helps. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
Avatar n tn I don't feel stressed and why does it come on when I exercise or do heavy work? Isn't exercise supposed to relieve stress? I don't know if I am making it worse by plowing through or if that is the best thing to do.
Avatar n tn That is, if I've had a heavy meal the night before, with onions or alcohol, I may get 2 or 3 PVCs during exercise the next day. Most of the time I have no PVCs during exercise, and my heart rate gets up to 164.
Avatar f tn Warm regards to every-one that reads this, and may god bless you..........nan....O, yes, I am also in a LOT of physical pain when I have to give blood for tests.....I think its something to do with how well or ill you are...as I never use to be ????????????
Avatar m tn not sure which one as i haven't been back to the doctor's yet. it was certainly a shock. i am guessing it's type 2. after the initial tests that discovered my condition my doctor sent me off for yet more tests something about lipids and something else plus a urine analysis. would these tests be to determine if it's 1 or 2? i've actually had symptons for many years which i never knew why they were happening but seem to be getting worse and more frequent. nausea when drinking juice.
8683847 tn?1410760916 In the process they can also destroy good blood cells because they really can't differ between good and bad. That is why you have to get weekly blood tests to check your blood platelets. You will go UND (undetectable) during treatment hopefully leading to a status of SVR. So I vision the sovaldi and O as the seperator and the riba as the destroyer. Have to separate the HCV cells to make them vulnerable.
Avatar m tn To gain weight with diabetes, one needs to eat enough and to have enough insulin. T o keep blood sugars stable one needs to follow a low carb diet. In your situation I'd recommend the book by Dr. Richard Bernstein "Diabetes Solution". It will tell you how to control your blood sugar using low carb diet and exercise, and medications (as necessary).
Avatar m tn If the spermatic cord gets twisted around the blood vessels, cutting off the testicle's blood supply, the condition is known as testicular torsion. The problem is most likely during puberty, but can strike at any age. In most cases, only one testicle is involved, although both can be affected. If the situation isn't remedied within 24 hours, the testicle may be lost. The problem often occurs after a sports injury sustained without an athletic supporter.
