Hello, I have not been diagnosed with diabetes. I have been testing my blood sugar at home the last couple of months. I noticed that commonly I would suddenly feel very hungry after 15 minutes of light-to-moderate exercise. This happens no matter how much I eat or when before-hand.
An example of a particularly dramatic drop: blood sugar 137 before exercising. After 15 minutes light-to-moderate exercise, it was 85. This happens all the time, dropping from wherever it is, to the 70-80 range.
Since you are from India, I would also regularly get blood pressure and cholesterol levels checked because we Indian are prone to metabolic syndrome where blood sugar, lipids and blood pressure are all elevated and leads to a number of problems.
Specific diet changes 1. when it comes to rotis, do not sieve the flour. If possible add extra bran. The chapati may not look appetizing but the fiber in the bran will slow done sugar absorption

could be that the home meter was not so accurate.
or could be that your blood sugar went up (it is possible), while you were waiting to go to the lab. Some people's blood sugar rises in response to extended fasting, particularly in the mornings.
Suggest you get an hab1c done. This will give you your average blood sugar over the past 3 months. Ideally the result is < 5.0. If it is higher than 5.0 then you need to start watching your diet etc. If it is over about 5.7 - 6.
While the fasting blood levels are a reading at a particular time, the A1c levels are depictive to blood sugar values over the past few months. Though FBS around 100 should not be a problem, elevated A1c levels would indicate deranged values over the past months. In the current situation, it would be advised to continue with the diet control and regular exercise and avoid stress; and get the blood sugar values tested for, regularly.
ve done finger/arm tests throughout the day and have not had anything remotely abnormal. I had a fasting blood sugar level of 93 first thing in the AM and all my levels after eating were 135 or below.
Could the 191 have been error? Should I request to have the one hour test repeated first before I torture myself with the three hour test? Or should I just suck it up and do the test.
Now is the seizures due to low sugar or high sugar. Test showed high sugar. Can a high sugar also cause seizures. I don't want to treat him with the wrong treatment ie glucose if it is actually a high sugar seizure and not low like we think it is? Very confused as the treatment for high and low is so different? t give us much information to work with expect 121 fasting. Go here and educate yourself about diabetes prevention, and diabetes control and management. Also, follow what your doctors says to do.

Hi i m male 29.weight 95 kg.my question is regarding my blood sugar.5 days ago randomly after heavy dinner i checked my bs and home gluco meter said 225 after almost 2 hours.then i checked half hour later and it was 182 after 3 and half hours it was 103.225 was high so in morning i went to lab with gluco meter and they picked blood from vein and tested on gluco meter ist it was 103 and in lab 87.lab technician told me that go home eat drink tea with sugar and come back after two hours.

I agree with troytroy that you need to meet with a doctor or diabetic educater to learn the basics of diabetes care. First of all being continually over 130 for fasting blood sugar is too high. Your wife needs to have her doctor evaluate her medication regimen and see if something needs to be changed. Also I'm guessing you don't know much about diet and exercise to help control Type II diabetes and this is very important to learn.
checked my blood sugar in january and it was fine. He decided to test it again because I got a fungal rash which he says can be indicative of high blood sugars. The test came back a 143 and I had eaten about hour to hour and half before the test. He says it could be pre-diabetes and has ordered an a1c that hasn't come back yet.

HI 48 year old male, 5 feet 8 inches. 164 lbs. Recently had blood test , Blood sugar came back 128m/dl. Doctor has not recommended any medicines . He suggested to exercise and control the diet. Day before the test had a pasta lunch with cola and small pasta fried fish dinner with 2 drinks(alcoholic). dinner complete at 9.00pm. Also had a antidepressant for sleep. Went the next morning for test around 8.am. Is it possible for my test to be wrong given the previous days gluttony.
