We will likely not engage in sex for about a week (just started menses) but will wait longer to be sure no symptoms present. Anyway I plan to continue Biaxin for 2 more days, total of about 5 days @ 1gm of ER daily. Can continue amoxicillin but I know this isn't usually effective for common culprits. My last question, is if I should rule out NGU based on my experience? they are cyst-busters. I was on biaxin for that purpose (along with another med to kill the bugs after they came out of the cyst), but had a reaction to it after several months; so the dr switched me to flagyl and a different antibiotic. Saw my LLMD in San Francisco on Friday and he said that my Erlichoisis is cleared but wants me to stay on my meds (Ketek & Cipro) for another 30 days. My testing for lyme is still coming up positive and there were more positive bands and stronger ones than my last test three months ago. He said that the meds I'm currently are on do not treat lyme. After this course of meds, I am switching to Amox & Biaxin to begin treating the lyme. My CD57 shot up from like 20 to 87 though!

5 of zithromax would not be enough, I took 2 g of Biaxin at once. I plan to take 500 mg/day for the next 3 days.
