sex worker, and I am now all concerned and paranoid that I may have received an STD like Chlamydia or Gonorrhea. Since I had the Biaxin course after all of this transpired, is there a chance that any oral STD acquired would have been wiped out by the round of Biaxin? What are my chances all of these symptoms are an orally acquired STD? What should be my next step? Thank you very much!

You should always tell the doctor if you are at risk or otherwise concerned about STD. Not knowing that, it sounds like your doctor did standard tests for urinary tract infection (UTI), which doesn't necessarily include STD testing.
I had 2 women perform oral sex on me and about 2-3 months later I had a chest cold and my doctor gave me biaxin 2x500mg a day for 10 days. then a few months later had amoxicillian 3x500mg a day for 10 days for another unrelated infection (my docs loves to give antibiotics) If I did get a std like gonnerea or clymidia or anything else that is bacterial would the biaxin get rid of it?...keep in mind I have had no unprotested sexual intercourse just received oral from a women.
I also was put on an atibiotic in Feb 2009 in Canda where I live it is called Biaxin (2X500mg) a day for 10 days. Now to my questions....
1) I have read from Dr HHH about these infections going away on there own within 3 months. I have also read Dr HOOK say he has seen it last for 3 years?...what is the chance either of these could last 1 year?
2) Although I did a urine test for both infections I have one concern.
However, I was recently sick with sinus drainage and a brief sore throat, which is now gone but I went through a course of antibiotics (biaxin xl). I am now abroad, in Paris, and I have a thick white/brown coating on parts of my tongue. I am concerned that this is thrush and it is from HIV.
ve had a sinus infection and ear infection for sometime now but just started taking biaxin yesterday. Not much improvement..could I have some kidney or liver issues due to years of cocaine abuse?
I had surgery in Feb 2008 and a routine uralalysis was done pre op (I was never told anything was wrong)
In Febuary 2008 I had an respitory infection and received a antibiotic that has been mentioned on this site called Biaxin XL 2X 500mg pills once a day for 10 days.
She also said she had been with 2 other guys but used protection both times and has had no symptoms of any std. I talked to my friend (her best friend) and she confirmed. She has no history of drug abuse. I'm wondering if you could give me any feedback on what my chances are of getting any type of STD from such short exposure (5-10 seconds). I'm freaking out and have lost some sleep over it.
I was taking Biaxin 500mg twice a day for a week and then took the rpr two days later. could this affect the results in any way?
I did not give oral so I find it hard to think it would be an STD but HIV does alarm me. It causes discomfort and I can see some vessels I guess you would call it in my mouth and medium sized red lumps on the wall of my throat. I've tried allergy meds but no improvement. I tried to search the forums first but found nothing similar. Don't know if that's good or bad. Today would be during my 13th week from that exposure. Should I retest? It would be another rapid finger test.
My doc perscribed Biaxin xl 2x 500 and prednisone 50mg 4 days if needed. Last night I was so bad I took the pred at 8pm. This morning I took the biaxin at 6am.
It's been about 8 hours and my heart has sped up from about 70 to 85-90 for about an hour and won't come down.
I'm afraid to take my next dose of prednisone but I've been on short bursts before with no issue.
Is a resting heart rate around 90 something to be worried about?
5 of zithromax would not be enough, I took 2 g of Biaxin at once. I plan to take 500 mg/day for the next 3 days.
This entire issue is the culmination of years of heavy drinking, which I am finally coming to terms with by stopping drinking and seeking professional help. I want to move on, fix my marriage (which I probably will lose if this information "goes public") and be a responsible, sober person again.
That being said, I live in a foreign country and would prefer not to test.

ve been taking the medicine for at least 10 or 11 days at 1000 milgrams of each both biaxin and flagyl daily..and should have stop taking them along time ago ..is this common?

I am a man. Next day, having been prescribed Biaxin for bronchitis, I took four 500 mg pills at once. I know this was foolish, but I had panicked.
5 days later I developed an infected ingrown hair at the base of my penis. I am over forty, and I believe I know an ingrown hair when I see one - when I take Biaxin I get them all over my legs.
Next day, the bump had not opened up into an ulcer. I saw a hair growing out of the middle of it, and squeezed the bump.
May I also ask what length of time would I take the Biaxin? And is there any home treatment, Like garlic pills etc. that would help augment healing? ( since Biaxin is not considered the best treatment.) Although I'm stuck with that. And frankly, I was on the Clindamycin for weeks and that didn't get rid of the infection, so maybe a broad spectrum antibiotic will work for me. I sure hope so. thank you again for your advice.
