Also should add, treated with Cipro 500mg for 10 days and Biaxin 500mg for 21 days for sinus infection, during the time frame of possible std infection....would this cause a delay or would it actually cure the std infection, if there was one to begin with?

I also took biaxin for a throat problem a week ago. Doc gave me 500mg pills twice a day for 5 days. and I took them for 3 days then stopped for 2 day then finished the last 2 days after cause I found out that I have to do all of them. Would this have cured anyt sti? Sorry for long question doc just want everything answered at once.

facility doctor told me I probably had chronic bronchitis (with some post nasal drip), and prescribed Biaxin 500mg 2x for 10 days. just one last point, the biaxin and amoxicilian were taken at different times around 2-3 months apart. Biaxin was for a Resp infection and the amoxicilian was for my saliva gland issue. As it was urine how accurate is this test copared to the swab. The clinic I went to (hassle free clinic in toronto) I am not sure if you have heard of them but they only do urine test now. Is this accurate?..if yes, does the sample need tons of bacteria in order to be detected?.

I will probably be safe with the clarith (and I know is also called biaxin, but thanks for pointing that out!). But tomorrow I will be talking with my doctor and thanks so much for this information, it is very helpful. i was prescribed more antibiotics by a french doctor when i still had the sore throat (he was not familiar with the biaxin xl) and an antifungal triflucan for the tongue, which he attributed to the antiobiotics. The coating is not really going away though, and while I did not take the full course of the new antibiotics, I have been taking the antifungal. I know that oral sex without ejaculation is low risk, but is this coating a bad sign?

I have a bunch of symptoms that im afraid may indicate something serious. blotchy rash on my neck, chest palms and groin; loss of sensation and discoloration of my penis; cold sweats; constipation and difficulty urinating w no pain involved. Since I have gone back on Biaxin and Tindamax in the last week, I seem to hit a wall around 3pm and I can't keep my eyes open. I have taken an afternoon nap about 4 days out of 7. they are cyst-busters. I was on biaxin for that purpose (along with another med to kill the bugs after they came out of the cyst), but had a reaction to it after several months; so the dr switched me to flagyl and a different antibiotic. Saw my LLMD in San Francisco on Friday and he said that my Erlichoisis is cleared but wants me to stay on my meds (Ketek & Cipro) for another 30 days. My testing for lyme is still coming up positive and there were more positive bands and stronger ones than my last test three months ago. He said that the meds I'm currently are on do not treat lyme. After this course of meds, I am switching to Amox & Biaxin to begin treating the lyme. My CD57 shot up from like 20 to 87 though!

My doc perscribed Biaxin xl 2x 500 and prednisone 50mg 4 days if needed. Last night I was so bad I took the pred at 8pm. This morning I took the biaxin at 6am. It's been about 8 hours and my heart has sped up from about 70 to 85-90 for about an hour and won't come down. I'm afraid to take my next dose of prednisone but I've been on short bursts before with no issue. Is a resting heart rate around 90 something to be worried about?
