Benzaclin vs acanya

Common Questions and Answers about Benzaclin vs acanya

benzaclin

Avatar f tn I haverecently gone to my primary physician and dermatologist and they tell me it is acne and prescribed benzaclin/ Atralin and sumaxin. Benzaclin seemed to work at first, but now it seems to make my breakouts worse. The other two prescriptions just dont seem to work at all. What could this be?Herpes? I do have herpes, but my doctor tells me it should only be on the lip (I have it next to the lip) it's not noticeable at all.
Avatar m tn The skin on my cheeks seems to be dry right now because of the topical stuff from my dermatologist (retin-a micro gel, used in the morning and left on till night, and benzaclin gel used at night and left on till morning) but normally it feels pretty smooth and kind of soft but also kind of dry. My forehead feels scaly-ish which is probably because of all the imperfections on it but in the summer it is pretty oily and right now in the winter is feels dry and scaly. My jawline is pretty average.
Avatar n tn s nothing really to pop. It usually goes away within the week. I also have been using Benzaclin for the past few months. I try to use it only when i have a pimple coming on. I know it can make my skin very sensative. I've never had a cold sore, but could this be one?? I dont feel any tingling or the other symptoms I've read about concerning cold sores.
Avatar f tn I see a dermatologist on a regular basis and have recenlty been getting cortisone shots to expedite the healing process. I also take Monodox 2x per day and use Acanya gel at night. I feel as though my condition is becoming worse and I can't identify the cause. I take very good care of my skin, eat well and can't figure out what is causing this all of a sudden? The cortisone shots seem to reduce and heal the cysts quickly but are leaving slight indents in the area injected.
Avatar n tn Also i have a prescription face medication cream called BenzaClin which is 1% clindamycin and 5% Benzoyl peroxide. Also, i am away at college far from my house so could it be my face isnt use to the water here? Im not sure what else it could be. Does anyone have any ideas of what i can do to help??? Can someone tell me what has helped them get rid of annoying and stubborn pimmples? Pleasee helpppp.. thanks!
Avatar m tn I've recently went to the doctor and was prescribed Doxycycline and Benzaclin a topical gel which consists of 1% clindamycin and 5% Benzoyl Peroxide it seems that its getting better, I just wanted to know what your opinion was on this?
Avatar m tn One doctor prescribed Benzaclin and another doctor referred me to a dermatologist. After scheduling an appointment with a dermatologist and waiting over three months I ended up seeing a PAC and not an actual dermatologist (if that matters). Unfortunately I lost the notes I had from the visit but she said I had Sebaceous something or the other. She said there wasn't really anything I could do to clear it up. She gave me a Tretinoin prescription for acne in general.
Avatar n tn went to Derm just to see if i could get skin as clear as possible, biggest mistake of my life right now. He started me with acanya and then gave epiduo a try (acne became bad on my forehead). Went back to him and he prescribed me epiduo with solodyn. After a few weeks i had tiny red spots on my face and huge pimples. I tried proactive as well and that didnt work. After that i told him the situation over the phone and he said to continue the solodyn with epiduo.
Avatar m tn I am currently taking benzaclin and erythromycin gel at night and Evoclin foam in the day. I also tweeze and wax the hairs. I was wondering if tretinoin cream would help prevent ingrown hairs due to increased epithelial cell turnover? I know laser treatment would be most beneficial but cannot afford it at the moment. What can I do in the meantime to help prevent ingrown hair and pimples in the hair follicle?
Avatar m tn I returned for a follow up and was then prescribed Acanya Clindmycin Phosphate and benzoyl peroxide gel 1.2 and 2.5% to apply in the morning. Also was given Atralin Tretinon gel 0.05 to apply in the evenings. It's working but only seems to mask or treat the problem. I want to be cured and free of using creams by curing this. Is this not possible Dr. Kaur? I am so frustrated with this and just want to go back to being normal... "Help" Signed, Mr. Wanting to just give up...
Avatar n tn I am using the same cleansing products and the only make-up I wear is lipstick and eye-liner. I saw a P.A. yesterday who prescribed Benzaclin but she really didn't know if this was going to be helpful because it itches and doesn't appear to be acne. Even the pharmacists didn't think this would work. This started about a week ago and has become progressively worse.
Avatar f tn I did get a zit on my face at the same time, whats that mean? Thankfully I use benzaclin and retina a. But its not for hair. Im such a well informed person on so many levels I cant believe this ones a stumper.
Avatar m tn Lactulose vs. Xifaxan to decrease the ammonia. And beta blockers vs. banding for the varices which I presume are esophageal. You will get variations of experiences here which are therapeutic relative to your anxiety and directive relative to the facts But go to your Hepatologist with these anxieties because you can manage the effects of cirrhosis. My best.
Avatar f tn You just have to do it awhile and you learn what is low vs high (ie knuckle deep to reach it vs full middle finger vs full ring finger). Then soft vs hard would be the difference between your lips and nose. I know way to much information, but you asked;-) It is also best when you cervix is wet (ie egg white stretchy discharge). Just remember most fertile is SHOW--Soft, High, Open, Wet. Again sorry I can't help with open vs closed. Good luck.
Avatar f tn Also, do you think it is alright for him to use his (DCL) revitalizing gel (use for dy skin if you have heard of it) or should he use something like a Lubriderm or CeraVe lotion because he has been using a prescription gel (Benzaclin) at night (it was to clear up the folliculitis) that dries his skin? Thank you so much for your time.
Avatar f tn Study Confirms Benefits of Vitamin E in Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis Megan Brooks May 4, 2010 — Supplementation with the natural form of vitamin E (800 IU/day) has beneficial effects in patients with nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), but pioglitazone's benefits are less clear, according to the latest findings from the Pioglitazone vs Vitamin E vs Placebo for the Treatment of Nondiabetic Patients with Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis (PIVENS) trial, reported online April 28 in the New England
148588 tn?1465778809 [25] In the SUCCESS study, the intent-to-treat analysis showed that the SVR rate was slightly higher at 48% vs 43% with 72 vs 48 weeks of treatment, respectively, but the difference was not statistically significant (P = .6445). Of note, relapse rates were also not statistically significantly different between the 2 arms (33% vs 47% with 72 vs 48 weeks of therapy, respectively; P = .1699).
Avatar m tn Here is the article I was referring to. I hadn't remembered that it addresses nonalcoholic steatohepatitis and not simple fatty liver so it may not be as applicable as I thought. Nevertheless I will post it.

Avatar n tn I was watching my local news today and they started talking about VS bras and people experiencing rashes and itching. I can't believe it. For over a year I was to the dermatologist, gynocologist and family doctor trying to get help for the unbelieveable itching that I had on my breasts. I was wearing a VS bra. I went through many topical creams, changed my diet, changed my detergent, even the doctors were baffled. Over the summer I went to VS and got new bras.

Avatar n tn It means you will need to take thyroid medicine. What has your Dr. told you. Mine was 20 last week so my meds were increased I take Levoxyl. The reason mine went so high in my opinion is because I stopped taking the Levoxyl for a month or so. Felt lousy so had my blood tested and voila! Now I return in 6 weeks for another blood test to find the numbers. Maybe I will stay on the dose or it may need to be adjusted. This was my fault for stopping. They told me they like mine around 2.
Avatar m tn The HBsAg clearance rate was significantly greater in the extended therapy group than in the standard therapy group at 24 and 48 weeks post-treatment (33.3% vs. 10.5% and 35.7% vs. 10.5%, respectively; P < 0.05 for both). In addition, patients with an increase of more than 1 log10 IU/ml in HBsAg level from baseline to week 24 had a significantly lower level of HBsAg at end of treatment (0.54 ± 1.76 vs. 2.89 ± 1.27, P < 0.001), but a higher level of HBsAg clearance (64.3% vs. 7.
