I haverecently gone to my primary physician and dermatologist and they tell me it is acne and prescribed benzaclin/ Atralin and sumaxin. Benzaclin seemed to work at first, but now it seems to make my breakouts worse. The other two prescriptions just dont seem to work at all. What could this be?Herpes? I do have herpes, but my doctor tells me it should only be on the lip (I have it next to the lip) it's not noticeable at all.
The skin on my cheeks seems to be dry right now because of the topical stuff from my dermatologist (retin-a micro gel, used in the morning and left on till night, and benzaclin gel used at night and left on till morning) but normally it feels pretty smooth and kind of soft but also kind of dry. My forehead feels scaly-ish which is probably because of all the imperfections on it but in the summer it is pretty oily and right now in the winter is feels dry and scaly. My jawline is pretty average.
I am using the same cleansing products and the only make-up I wear is lipstick and eye-liner. I saw a P.A. yesterday who prescribed Benzaclin but she really didn't know if this was going to be helpful because it itches and doesn't appear to be acne. Even the pharmacists didn't think this would work. This started about a week ago and has become progressively worse.
s nothing really to pop. It usually goes away within the week. I also have been using Benzaclin for the past few months. I try to use it only when i have a pimple coming on. I know it can make my skin very sensative. I've never had a cold sore, but could this be one?? I dont feel any tingling or the other symptoms I've read about concerning cold sores.
Also, do you think it is alright for him to use his (DCL) revitalizing gel (use for dy skin if you have heard of it) or should he use something like a Lubriderm or CeraVe lotion because he has been using a prescription gel (Benzaclin) at night (it was to clear up the folliculitis) that dries his skin? Also i have a prescription face medication cream called BenzaClin which is 1% clindamycin and 5% Benzoyl peroxide. Also, i am away at college far from my house so could it be my face isnt use to the water here? Im not sure what else it could be. Does anyone have any ideas of what i can do to help??? Can someone tell me what has helped them get rid of annoying and stubborn pimmples? Pleasee helpppp.. thanks!

One doctor prescribed Benzaclin and another doctor referred me to a dermatologist. After scheduling an appointment with a dermatologist and waiting over three months I ended up seeing a PAC and not an actual dermatologist (if that matters).
Unfortunately I lost the notes I had from the visit but she said I had Sebaceous something or the other. She said there wasn't really anything I could do to clear it up. She gave me a Tretinoin prescription for acne in general.
I am currently taking benzaclin and erythromycin gel at night and Evoclin foam in the day. I also tweeze and wax the hairs. I was wondering if tretinoin cream would help prevent ingrown hairs due to increased epithelial cell turnover?
I know laser treatment would be most beneficial but cannot afford it at the moment. What can I do in the meantime to help prevent ingrown hair and pimples in the hair follicle?
the day after (yesterday) i had some redness on my penis head. it feels dry and a bit rough, but there is no itching or anything. My foreskin also seems very dry, and had a little bit of pain with it yesterday. the dryness on my head i have seen before after sex, but not for a long time.. this doesnt seem to occur every time..
any thought are appreciated!
It appears in circular format in front of my ears(which is quite defined by the redness) and then an even redness on my cheeks, and also my my neck goes really quite red (again in a larger circular patch on either side running down from my jaw bone to just above my collar bone).
Could it be something to do with hormones?
I have no itching, irritation or sores just the redness. When I make an effort to keep very clean the redness is controlled. I have been using salt water after the advise of one of the doctors and that seems to keep the redness in check but it does not stop it completely. The canosten again reduces the redness but does not stop it completely. Could it be something besides thrush? I have been to a sex clinic and tested for HIV and have been given the all clear (just to be safe).
I have been having redness on the head of my penis. It starts from the lower left side, going up to the tip, and a little bit past that. It doesn't burn, itch, or anything like that. I have had it for a couple days now. Should I be worried?
i called the health department and the nurse on the phone said it was probably nothing and to put some over the counter cream on it. i did as i was told,and some of the redness went away, but its still a little sensitive and a little discomfort when i urinate. cold this be hpv or herpes.
I went to urgent care and they ran a urine culture as well as a full STD panel - all of which came back negative. They gave me 5 days of antibiotics. 2 days after the symptoms started, I had redness around the urethra opening. It seems I developed a fungal infection while on the antibiotics. I was then given a prescription for an antifungal cream for 10 days, and then also got prescribed fluconazole 150mg once per week for 2 weeks.
Hi there, would herpes cause redness and itching on the labia majoria with no lesions present? No discharge that suggests a yeast infection is present.

Hi, I used a product to remove a mole on my face called dermatend (uses bloodroot). The product worked, but it left a very small scar, which I really could care less about, but with the scar came redness. It's now a year later and I still have a really distinguishable patch of redness on my cheek. I figured the redness would fade with time, but I thought it wouldn't take longer than a year.
I have had redness on my left breast for a couple of days, and itching for a couple of weeks. I first thought that the itch was from my bra, but now with the redness and occasional twinges of pain, I am worried about IBC. I have been desperately trying to search online for another possible cause, but basically there are three things that come up - IBC, Mastitis, and dermal infections. I am not breast feeding and there is no active infection - just a lacy bright pink/red appearance.
About 45 mins later I went into the bathroom and noticed that there was a small red spot, smaller than a centimeter, that was on my scrotum, and a little bit of redness trail up the bottom of my penis. /it was not bumpy, infact and didnt hurt. So I took some soap and washed it gently a few times through out the night and each time it burned quite painfully.
At that point I started getting a bit nervous.
I have now had redness on my face for over 10 years, Some days worse than others. I have been to over 7 different
Dermatologist all with no prevail. Does any one know the cure for Red Faces? This would save my life.
