ENT said I had some colonies in nose soUsed Bacrtoban for 3 days and slight pain in my nose went away per ENT. I stopped the bactroban after 3 days because I was not sleeping but I was also using Nasocort and maybe that was the culprit.

I saw another doctor, who said I had folliculitis, and he prescribe Bactroban(Mupirocin) for me. He also hints me the folliculitis cannot be cured completely. I have to put Bactroban on the infected part to relieve the symptom, when I found acnes symptom become more severe. Then, I put Bactroban on my face. At the first 2 days, nothing happen. I therefore put more Bactroban on.
A topical antibiotic cream, mupirocin (Bactroban®), has been effective at reducing bacterial colonization in the nostrils. It is applied twice daily for a week and is repeated every 6 months.

I presented with only one sore at my cheekbone and was given clindamycin orally for 14 days and Bactroban ointment for topical use. The sore was believed to be an early indication of MRSA. I quickly developed cellulitis and swelling near, but not touching, the apparent abscess, as well as blisters in my nose. I used the mupiricin.(Bactroban) to keep the nasal blisters moist. Now diagnosed with post-herpetic neuralgia, but I still have blisters in my nose treating with Bactroban.

It is located on my cheek and I recently had a test for cold sores and it came back negative, but I put cold sore cream by chemists own (aciclovir 5%) on it and that seems to work. What is it?? I remember placing Bactroban on it which seemed to speed up the healing process, could this cold sore cream help a bacterial infection or could bactroban help a cold sore? Please help

The red bumps are looking like they might be getting infected. I have a tube of 2% Bactroban (or Mupirocin is what it actually says) can I use this on that area to prevent further infection? How can I avoid this when shaving in the future?
My doctor put me on minocycline 100mg per day I took it for a month and it kind of cleared up but towards the end of the month it started to come back when I was on the medicine I was a few days late in getting the refill and now its totally back and i got the refill and have been on it for over a week now and it is doing nothing is 100mg a day too little

Also take some anti inflammatory medicine like Ibuprofen or Diclofenac if you have taken them prior to this injury and have not shown any allergic reaction to them.
Also consult a doctor because any hematoma which is covering more than 25 % of the area has to be evaluated by a doctor. If there is any nail removal then soak it with an antiseptic and apply some antibiotic cream like Neosporin or Bactroban.
My 3 year old son has had a small cut under his earlobe where it connects with his face. I recently took him into the Dr and they prescribed Bactroban and said to put Eucerin lotion on it inbetween Bactroban treatments for 10 days. It does not seem to be healing up. I am not sure if it is because he bothers it and is keeping it from healing. Is there anything else I can be doing to help this cut heal and close?

I get boils "down there" and use prescribed Bactroban Cream on them after applying a warm compress. They never get red (I catch them early) and usually go away one to two weeks of medicating. I currently have a boil that this med is not helping. I usually get the boils in the same places once or twice a year, but this is a new one and it's in a very inconvenient spot. I am wondering if its just the infection showing it self again and then leaving multiple times over the last few years. The doctor did say I have angular cheilitis on my lips, he gave me an ointment, called Bactroban and an oral antibiotic but he said not to fill the antibiotic unless I really needed it, if the corners of my mouth became red and have pus coming out. So right now I am using the Bactroban ointment hoping that it is helping my lips. They still aren't healed yet, but hopefully it will heal. I did ask him what I can do so that I don't get this again, he just said to drink plenty of water.
My MD started me on Bactrum 800 mg BID for 3 weeks and Bactroban nasal solution. I do sinus washes often and have increased recently. Any other suggestions?

Treatment of AKN includes suppression of the inflammation with antibiotics and steroid gels or intralesional steroid injections. So apply antibiotic cream like Neosporin or bactroban. If the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics and steroids may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.
Larger bumps of AKN present for a while or if not responding to treatments may need surgical removal.
I told him one or two of your readers recommended Bactroban mupirocin, but he dismissed that advice for the Lotrimin. I need to hear from more readers who have had success with Bactroban so I can convince him to prescribe if for me. Otherwise?? Help! Help!
It is getting better but not totally after the ten days of cefelexin and a topical treatment called bactroban i think. He gave me 4 more days of the oral antibiotic. I waited a few days to start using the medicine because i thought it was going away and i was just using baby powder and triple antibiotic ointment. It irritated it and made it itch. could this just be irritation from the dry skin caused by th baby powder?
