I remember placing Bactroban on it which seemed to speed up the healing process, could this cold sore cream help a bacterial infection or could bactroban help a cold sore? Please help P.s the blisters come up small and then pop and crust over yellow like a weeping cut, it has only had one big blister before. I placed betadine on it and that seemed to help but so did bactroban, it also tingles before it comes up and gets itchy but NEVER hurts!

I went back to the doctor straight away and he said it was a rash caused by the Bactroban Cream and he gave me Dovate Cream to apply on the rash area. He said I should use it on my chin as well and that the infection (Cellulitis) has gone and it is just scar tissue. What I would like to know is - Is this a rash from Bactroban Cream as it is not continuos spreading down my chin but a healthy skin layer and then the rash?

A friend of mine suggested to apply Miconazole BP 2% Anti-Fungal cream twice a day. I did it but I think I overdid it. Although the spots were on the underside, I used to apply it all over my penis. After a week, I felt slight burning and itching on folds of shaft skin (I'm circumcised). I stopped applying it on that part. The white spots appears to be gone, but I have serious irritation on the folds of shaft skin.

Treatment of AKN includes suppression of the inflammation with antibiotics and steroid gels or intralesional steroid injections. So apply antibiotic cream like Neosporin or bactroban. I finally went to a walk in doctor and was diagnosed with folliculitis.. I was prescribed an antibiotic twice daily for ten days and apply bactroban cream 2-3 times daily. I only have about 6 antibiotic pills left (3 days worth) and not much cream left either. However, the only relief I have had is the itching. Then I went to see my dermatologist Feb. 7 2014. He again suspected my symptoms as HSV 1/2 and ordered me to do a blood test and prescribed me valtrex for five days. But, I did not take valtrex until I hear the results from the blood test.

I would suggest that you apply calamine lotion and a simple antimicrobial cream like Bactroban or Neosporin on the rash and keep the area clean. If the symptoms persist then topical steroids and oral antibiotics may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

I have to put Bactroban on the infected part to relieve the symptom, when I found acnes symptom become more severe. Then, I put Bactroban on my face. At the first 2 days, nothing happen. I therefore put more Bactroban on. Probably as I put too much dosage on my face, I felt the skin on my face was pickled and I can see some wrinkles on my face. 4-5 days later, ances disappeared. I have had jock itch for about a year now in the groin on left and right inner thigh. My question is, can bactroban cream treat and cure jock itch? Its the only cream I have right now.
