Yes, a ZPack is azithromycin, but a ZPack is actually a pre-packaged 5 day course, at least here in the US. And I just learned that it's Z-Pak. Cute.

0 grams (4 500 mg pills) taken at one time is just as effective as penicillin for syphilis treatment however, there are some cases of treatment failures with azithromycin for syphilis treatment and many of the treatment failures have come from San Francisco where you apparently live. Thus this is a matter of concern.
While many people will be cured by therapy of early syphilis with azithromycin, the dose you have received is not the recommended dose.
Ok so i was treated for Chlamydia [havent got results back yet] with the 4 pink pills called Azithromycin [one time dosage]. My symptoms were itchy penis and i had discharge coming from my penis. I was treated for Chlamydia and my symptoms pretty much went away i still have very mild discharge [only in the moring] its been almost a week since i was treated, is this normal? should it be complety gone already?

I wasn't entirely sure what topic to put this under but here is my quesiton...
For months and months I've had trouble with my water works, I've had numerous urine samples, an ultrasound on my kidneys, x rays and I am now waiting on a cystoscopy. I've never felt the need to have an STD test because I have always believed my boyfriend was completely honest about his previous sexual encounters.
This wouldnt be the correct dosage? Is there a difference between azithromycin 250mg and 500mg, even if they are added up to the same exact dosage? Would 1000mg of azithromycin (from a zpack) cure chlamydia is my question.
I was diagnosed with gonorrhea and my doctor prescribed me azithromycin and also recommended that i have an hiv test and vdrl for syphilis. After my diagnosis I bought the medicine and took the initial two doses in one day as my doctor prescribed. The next day I went back to the hospital for both test and came back for the results the next day and they both came back negative. The tests were done 26 to 27 days from my last sexual contact.
Can anyone help me please! I know the standard dosage for chlamydia is 1g of azithromycin usually 2 x 500mg pills, my question is would 500mg over 3 days cure the chlamydia as it's over the 1g?
I've had a fever between 100.5-101.8 over the last two days, burning urination, blood in urine, slight fatigue at night, and no other symptoms. I just began taking an unused Z-pak I've had. I know this could be chlamydia, gonorrhea, and or UTI.
1) Will Z-pak help? 2) What other drug/dosage is commonly prescribed for UTIs?
Dentist just say wait, but I can’t bear pain in my lower front 5 teeth’s, and dentist doesn’t care to do anything. I am on ibprufen 800 3 times a day, already completed antibiotic and steroid dosage for last 2 weeks, but no improvement. Still can’t open mouth much to eat proper food and feels pain 24 by 7. I have recently been diagnosed with mild NGU although I am still waiting for my Chlamydia and Gonorrhea results. I have been given one single dose of azithromycin (1 g) . It has been four days now, and when i urinate there is still a burning sensation. I have not had any discharge at all. Before (Hours before) I have the burning feeling when I urinate, I also have a feeling of pressure/pain at my pelvis.

Its toxicity depends on the route of administration, duration, exposure and dosage. The route of administration is the most important determinant of toxicity. I hope this helps.
i take clonazepam and it reacts differently depending on how severe your anxiety is. if im super anxious at night i take .5mg and it keeps me covered in the night and il have to take another one in the morning. however if i take 2 .5mg at night (which sometimes i have becuase my anxiety was over the roof) i am usually good until midday the next day. so i think that 1.25 of clonazepam will keep you covered. it all depends on how anxious you are at that time.
You are also a good candidate for Azithromycin dosage that could easily stem Gonorrhea,Chlymdia and Syphilis early infections.
I went to get checked and the doctor prescribed 1g of azithromycin. That dosage should be enough for chlamydia, but after research, it seems like i might have gonorrhea since it was only oral. Chlamydia seems rare to be transmitted through oral.
I also saw on this site that another user was prescribed cipro 500mg and 1g azithromycin. Dr. Hhhhhh said that should be sufficient. I had extra cipro I my house, so i took 500mg along with the azithromycin.

I wasn't tested at all my doctor saw my blisters at the time and he knew right away that was herpes, he gave the 5 day treatment and azithromycin 500 mg just a pill and told me if by the next three days i didn't improve to go back again; but like I said my symptoms disappear by the third day almost completely so I never went back.
Just to clear things up, I'm a man, it's not a big deal either way except it gives me a different perspective on these things.
I did mention that 1g of azithromycin can have failures, but the truth is that still it will work most of the time. Actually azithromycin will nearly always work when it's taken for a longer period, like 500mg for 7 days. It's a good drug to use for treatment, it's just 1g is often not sufficient.
They can try azithromycin and see if its just NGU first.
Call your local health dept and ask what services they offer for people without insurance.
I just looked for the dosage on the internet, emedexpert and other website suggests even a lower alternative regime: 500 mg in a single dose on day 1 followed by 250 mg once daily for 2 days. But I'm not an expert.

If dosage would have been ok, would 8 days after the start of the cure be safe to start having intercourse?

I went to a urologist and was given an immediate shot for gonorrhea and 1g (2x 500mg) azithromycin initially, with an additional 500mg to be continued each day for 3 days. Given my activity and symptoms it was pretty obvious what it was. The only thing lacking was a discharge.
After day 3, the painful urination did not subside at all. I found this very strange since last time I got the gonorrhea shot the painful urination stopped the exact same day.
