488198 tn?1493875092 An MSWorld user "zeldaz" lost her Avogrip, a plastic piece that clips to an Avonex syringe and makes it easier to handle. Apparently they are no longer available from Biogen. The draconian forum admins there deleted offers to send "zeldaz" a new, unopened one. If "zeldaz" sticks her nose in here, send me a PM.

Avatar f tn I am a female who three months ago had a hysterectomy due to HPV strains 16 and 18 causing low grade cervical cancer. My choice to have the hysterectomy rather than other treatment options for dysplagia. All margins clear. I'm well but may carry the hpv incessantly dormant as doctors really don't know. I have met someone and we'd like to start a serious relationship/marry. He has MS. Low level, takes Avonex, with no exacerbation or new lesions in three years since starting Avonex.
566175 tn?1278430472 And even if you have peanut butter products that arent included in the recall, it still may be a good idea to throw out any thing that you're not sure about. Taking care of our September mommies and babies!!
390388 tn?1279636213 I hit the button to fast to post. On the FDA site they have a place where you can be notified of any recalls listed; "after the dog food recalls" I had put my email address in to be notified of any updated recalls and never got off the list. Its hard to believe all the things that get recalled and never brought to attention to the people. It's free for anyone to get on. Just thought I would pass it along.
Avatar f tn re having a discussion on the MS forum about whether one can skip a dose of Avonex to avoid the major side effects during the holiday festivities. Some who take Avonex feel quite sick for a day or two. I'm lucky not to, but still this is a good question. Perhaps you could answer in terms of all 4 DMDs. Thank you.
Avatar f tn t know if they still are but earlier the website was having technical issues and it was saying that ANY lot number you put in was not part of the recall. I followed the link on the main recall page that gives you a pdf of ALL lot numbers that are part of it just to be safe because we use Similac too. The can I've been using isn't listed but I'm still scared to use it.

Avatar f tn She summed up that I was having more issues with Avonex than MS. She recommended that I switch from Avonex to Gilenya. I like the fact that it is oral, but I would like to hear opinions from others. I don't know much about Gilenya because my old neuro said that it was not for me. I am in the process of reading all the stuff the neuro gave me. Please respond and let me know what you think.
1831849 tn?1383228392 First is some good news for Avonex and Rebif users. It looks like Biogen-Idec is going to be seeking marketing approval for monthly dosing later this year. http://www.medpagetoday.com/Neurology/MultipleSclerosis/36993?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mobile&utm_campaign=medpage%2Biphone%20app Second is kind of a double edged sword. The FDA has approved over the counter sale of Oxytrol, a drug aimed at overactive bladder. They have approved it for sale to women bu not men.

Avatar n tn Hi I have a question- I have been on Copaxone for over 10 years and I am suffering with indented sites which can no longer let my shots be injected. My question is which of the ms treatments should I go to next? My MS dr. gave me papers on Avonex but the side effects is what I'm worried about. My Copazone has worked so well I'm afraid to change but just running out of places to give the shot. Thanks for any reply's..
Avatar f tn I take Avonex which is inter-muscular and they told me that after the skin there are no nerve endings. Many times I don't feel anything but sometimes it just seems to hurt more. Last night was one of those times. I wonder if my menstrual cycle has anything to do with it? I tend to deal with this by "forgetting" to take my shot. Any advice to make this easier would be appreciated.
Avatar f tn Neurologist do not like to put you in [the PPMS category] because there are no FDA approved treatments for PPMS. Insurance companies do not have to pay for DMDs since they are not FDA approved." ~ "PPMS - how were you diagnosed?" http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Multiple-Sclerosis/PPMS---how-were-you-diagnosed/show/1235216 This is a good point, which I did not realize.
