Avatar f tn If you google tramadol, check out the wikipedia info as it will give you a lot of information. This drug is POISON in my book (tramadol was my DOC for over 6 years). Getting off the tramadol was the BEST decision of my life. Good luck to you!
Avatar m tn It seems this forum is becoming an alternative / supplement forum so I hope it is ok to post this. Here is an interesting article about a prescription drug, the diabetic drug Metaformin. An old drug that has been around a long time. And is very inexpensive. They are finding it has many uses including anti-cancer properties. I think it is great when an existing drug is found to work for other diseases. Especially drugs that patents have run out and are now inexpensive.

When I joint the avandia program I got a couple months free avandia, plus they send coupons at times. Also ask your md for samples. Another thing, if your job offers a flexible spending account, I find that is nice as well. it reduces your taxes and you can contribute up to 3000 a year to them. good luck.

Avatar f tn What are the odds of those of us that are suffering from from tooth decay and paying outrageously for doctors appointments, prescriptions, and now dentists and dental bills, what do we need or have to do to begin a class action lawsuit? Four members of my family have been on subutex for about 6 years some for general pain and some for addiction and we all have the same issues with decaying teeth and such. Our doctor has no means of tapering us off but we all have started ourselves.
Avatar m tn FDA maybe looking at turning the lack of realtime outcomes back on the drug companies. The government is paying a lot of money for this drug. Maybe this is an attempt to test the real time results and not just except the written findings of the perfect participants in clinical trials. Guess if we wait 18 to 24 months will know the real results. The FDA then can sue the drug company for negligence.
408795 tn?1324935675 ), what typically happens is they get out on parole, fail the terms of parole (as drug tested during parole), serve out entire sentence, then go straight back to drug use. Unless prisioners are drug tested and can prove they are clean, I don't see the point in treatment, the odds of reinfection are just too high IMO.
Avatar f tn Yes, i was put on Avandia for Type 2 abt 5 years ago. Since then my #'s have improved with diet and exercise to the point that a new Dr. said she saw no reason for me to be on Avandia and i have since stopped useing it. It was never vy high, around 159 or so when it was diagnosed. If i am not careful of my diet it can jump up to the 130's to 140's. Am also on diovan for HBP which is usually under good control with the 1 med.
Avatar n tn A friend of mine is currently under a doctors care where he is involved in a lawsuit claiming a work related injury where he was paid off the books. He has a back injury disc problem and is prescirbed oxycodone 20 mgs to take 4 times per day. Avatar n tn I am experiencing some weight loss and I am not sure if it due to my sugar, the fact I was taken off Avandia and put on Junovia because I know Avandia increases weight or if something else is happening to me. Also would high blood sugar like mine lead to sweating, tingling in legs and hands and I almost feel like my body is hot...
603046 tn?1279159413 I need to investigate this further to see if a drug mfg, plus more, are behind this. Hmmm, higher range$ equal$ more drug u$e, equal$ more $ale$, equal$ more $$$$ in the bank. Just my opinion. DonSor, short bursty movements isn't considered walking unless you break sweat. Walking 20 minutes at good solid pace w/o stopping helps to lower glucose levels. Same goes for lifting, it must be done under continuous time to qualify or do anything.
Avatar n tn Metformin is in general, a good medication. There are others in the class such as Avandia. You can talk to your doctor about this. You might try drinking more water, eating more fiber (vegetables, whole grains), taking psyllium seed fiber and walking regularly. Each of those can help. Of course, there is always the laxative option but it's best to try the others first. Take it with meals, this helps. Onglyza is another alternative medication idea.
Avatar n tn I am also interested in starting some kind of self help group that focuses only on cola addiction.
Avatar m tn I went to injection counter and stood in the line and they injected me some drug/medicine with new Needle and the syringe was the same used to all. Is this can cause HIV ?
Avatar f tn I too went from Norco 10's to Hydro 5's then Tramadol. Granted the move from so called "narcotic" drugs was no doubt smoother when I switched to the Tram.....however, I am on day 11 of CT from the Tramadol. Never been so sick and it's not the kind of withdrawls you get from the opiates. I still hear ducks quacking in my ears and enjoy body jolts of electricity quite frequently. Actually, I happen to love music and can't handle listening to it yet!
