thank you for your answer Cjegger. I'ts been two days, I still have the same diarrhea and the treatment should be until monday (the day I'll see my doctor). I'm really afraid about this antibiotic, but I know it's important to take it for 8 days. Do you think it's dangerous to keep with augmentin or should I stop it? It's already 4 days now with this really liquid diahrrea. thanks!

I went and saw a immediate care doctor who put me on Augmentin (Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium) to treat it. About 3 days later all symptoms of the STD were gone. I am not sure of the Augmentin cleared up the STD. I need to have a conversation with my boyfriend about this but I also need to know that I actually had an STD before I accuse him of giving me one. If I did have an STD there is no chance it was from anyone else and he also needs to get treated.

I got really sick, and my doctor put me on the antiobiotic Augmentin XR(Amoxicillin clavulanic potassium). I am also taking some tylenol for fever. I was wondering if all these drugs are safe to take together. Specifically, will my potassium levels be altered to a dangerous point? I've heard ambiguities about birth control and antibiotics. Not even augmentin worked. Any idea on what kind of bacteria would respond to clindamycin but not augmentin?

4 days on augmentin 825 for a chronic dental infection (now a bone infection), I started having major swelling in my hands. This is new, I've never had swelling like this. Yesterday my one hand looked freakishly red and swollen. It was so swollen, that when I straightened out my hand (which was difficult), everything turned white, inbetween the redness. Anyway, I tried going off the augmentin (I'm taking it in conjunction with clindamycin), and today I feel much less swollen.

Scared I called my doctor, yet he told me that it is a side effect that is common with the high dose of augmentin I recieved. I finished the augmentin and I have no sore throat just thrush I recently started an anti fungal for it though. So I have some questions. 1.When someone contracts HIV are symptoms spread out like this? 2. Is 6 weeks too late to have symptoms of ARS? 3. Do you think that the thrush is medication related or HIV related, would it show up after 3 months?

Just need a neurologist`s expert opinion as to whether or not it is alright to take Augmentin with my myoclonic seizure condition. Do not want to start up any seizures. It does not specify which side effects are from potassium being too high and which are associated with it being too low, but you could certainly google "potassium too high" and get some good information.

blood test they said the urine came back fine but I had to go back a week later for my blood resaults so I go back kidneys and all came back good except my potassium it was 7.5.
