4 days on augmentin 825 for a chronic dental infection (now a bone infection), I started having major swelling in my hands. This is new, I've never had swelling like this. Yesterday my one hand looked freakishly red and swollen. It was so swollen, that when I straightened out my hand (which was difficult), everything turned white, inbetween the redness. Anyway, I tried going off the augmentin (I'm taking it in conjunction with clindamycin), and today I feel much less swollen.

1) although not preferred, will the Augmentin regimen clear me of anything? 2) how soon could I be accurately tested for STD's?

I was wondering if anyone else has taken Augmentin. I was prescribed it for a double ear infection. Originally I was given acetic acid drops but they aren't working. I plan on calling my OB in the morning to double check. They are pregnancy category B. Although they are thought to be safe not many studies have been done on them. I'm nervous about everything. This is my first pregnancy and I am only 18. Thank you!!

Was told to see a specialist about weight loss, and pain! Went to the E.R. for severe stomach and back pain Sunday, was told I have too many problems for an E.R. doctor to figure out! He assumed I am anorexic (which I am NOT, this may be an eating disorder, but not that one! I don't see fat, I don't want to loose weight) Was discharged with pain meds, sleeping pills and diagnosis of: UNDIAGNOSED!! Follow-up with gastro on Wednesday of this week...no end in sight!

The bactrim-ds did seem to help but only after 5 days of taking and I felt worse the whole week of taking them. Is there a reason the Rocephin when IM or IV works but nothing else does? Hi everyone, I have 3 cats that are litter mates. 1 little Princess girl, and 2 little stinker boys. I also have 4 other kitties. The 2 brothers came to blows about 4 days back and now 1 has an abscess by his ear on the top of his head. I've been able to clean it with some Chlorhexidine scrub and warm water a couple times since finding the abscess yesterday. t believe it has something to do with Augmentin but I definitely do! Now my both knees are tingling. I took Augmentin before but I had no problem with it! Now I am out of work and need to see an ortho md and blood works for rheumatoid arthritis , lymes disease, etc.

anyone else have side effects AFTER STOPPING augmentin after the full 10 day dose? I have been off for two days and have awful sweating and hot flashes. The doctor prescribed her augmentin 250 mg as she said there is an infection following her bleeding. during her 2 days of medication there are an onset of abdominal pain, cramps and bleeding.
