augmentin side effects in babies

anyone else have side effects AFTER STOPPING augmentin after the full 10 day dose? I have been off for two days and have awful sweating and hot flashes. I am male, and in relatively good shape. bp has been in the 140/70 range for three days. odd stuff. Ive usually had plain ole amoxicillin, but this stuff takes the cake.

It is a very strong drug that comes with lots of side effects. I got very sick from the effects of it and was switched to amoxicillin.

I also had a cramp in the right side ovary. I went back to the doc, for the ovary pain (thinking the breast thing would resolve itself I stupidly didn't mention it to him). He thought I had a secondary infection in the uterus and gave me Augmentin to take along with the other I am taking. It has been 36 hours and my breast is still really red and sore. I don't know what to do! I am worried that it may lead to sepsis?? Or should I not be worried since I am taking augmentin?

Also, the infection has been treated with numerous antibiotics (amoxicillin, flagyl, omnicef, augmentin, clindamycin), and all seem to help at first, but only clindamycin has lasting effects. Not even augmentin worked. Any idea on what kind of bacteria would respond to clindamycin but not augmentin?

I was prescribed augmentin for a sinus infection and I had no side effects while taking it. I finished it 4 days ago. Starting yesterday afternoon I had clay colored stool. I thought it would pass, but it hasn't. I have very slight stomach cramps. Is this normal and my body is just recovering from the antibiotic or should I be concerned?

I saw my PA today and we concluded that most of my symptoms at this point are probably Babesia and side effects of Malarone. She didn't put me on Mepron because it has to be taken with Zithromax, which I can't take because of another med I am on. She gave me another scrip for a med I've never heard of, Alinia, to take along with Malarone. But get this, my insurance only authorized 20 days worth, not the 30 that was prescribed. The augmentin probably isn't working as it may be a viral infection by your description. Sometimes these things take a while to go away.

A few weeks ago I found a hard mass/lump in my lower back on the left side and a smaller lump on the right side. Hey guys, I have some weird smell in my upper palate and the top of my rhinopharynx after taking Augmentin 1000 (Amoxicillin + Clavulanic acid), 2x/day for 5.5 days to cure my Helicobacter and gastritis. My condition did not improve, but did not get worse. Thus, I was put on Cipro (twice a day). After two days of treatment, I developed side effects to the Cipro (muscle and joint pain). I was taken off the Cipro and was put on Augmentin (twice a day) for 21 days, which I began taking today. Would the antibiotic still be in her system? Could she suddenly start have side effects of the antibiotic? Any advice on whats going on? Could she have possibly developed an allergy to breast milk?

Augmentin will affect your pill. The other one I do not know about. It probably takes a couple of days for the antiboitics to get out of your system. You might wanna use a second form of protection just in case.

I had mastitis/abscesses all the way through my pregnancies and ended up in hospital with a drain in my breast to remove the rubbish I had repeated anti~biotic which I was not happy about but the babies both came out with no effects from the anti~biotic so don't worry to much.

2 months ago i got infection in my Right hip joint and i hd to take antibiotics for 5 weeks. First week I was on IV Augmentin 1.2 gram thrice a day plus Oxidil (Ceftriaxone) twice a day and NSAIDs. After that i remained on oral 500 ciprofloxacin twice a day with Vitamin D3 + calcium for 4 weeks. im now off these antibiotics for last 2 weeks but im facing sever constipation and blood in stool with pain. Today i was thinking about side effects of these antibiotics and NSAIDs on liver.

My lung Doctor called me in some augmentin because I have been coughing up thick yellow mucus. I just don't know if I can take it on treatment. Does anyone know??

I was wondering if anyone else has taken Augmentin. I was prescribed it for a double ear infection. Originally I was given acetic acid drops but they aren't working. I plan on calling my OB in the morning to double check. They are pregnancy category B. Although they are thought to be safe not many studies have been done on them. I'm nervous about everything. I don't know about augmentin, but amoxicillin has skin rashes listed as a side effect.
