augmentin side effects fatigue

anyone else have side effects AFTER STOPPING augmentin after the full 10 day dose? I have been off for two days and have awful sweating and hot flashes. I am male, and in relatively good shape. bp has been in the 140/70 range for three days. odd stuff. Ive usually had plain ole amoxicillin, but this stuff takes the cake.

Today i was thinking about side effects of these antibiotics and NSAIDs on liver. i got checked by the way my CBC and LFT. CBC is quite normal but SGPT is raised to 95 (normal 10-43). im afraid why my SGPT is raised? is this sign of only liver damage or relapse???? i think there is relation between constipation and raised SGPT. When i first caught infection in 2003 my symptoms were constipation, fatigue, lack of appetite and my all bloods were normal only SGPT was raised.

It can take a few months to separate disease activity from treatment side-effects unless its something obvious like Copaxone welts. do all of these crappy (literally) side effects EVER fade??? ive only been on the combined treatment for a month now....it just seems to b getting worse...the vomitting, crapping, fatigue,body aches, head aches, raw throat and mouth....i just hate to ask my docs for all kinds of meds....just wondering if it gets better closer to the one year marker????

My mother just had her 1st shot of Lucentis. She has a small leak. She is also on Glaucoma eye drops. She is experiencing extreme fatigue and she said her thoughts/memory seem fuzzy. How long do these side effects last? My mother is a small person who doesn't take any other medications except for the eyes. She works out everyday. She isn't up to that either. Does she have to get these every 4 weeks or can they space them out more or lesser dose?

I started noticeing side effects at about 8pm, and they continued till this morning. I experienced a low grade headache, aches in my upper legs and lower back, some difficulty sleeping, and an awkward kind of dizziness (which I notice now seems to immediately follow my Riba dose). I am really tired, just washed out, and stay in bed until 10 or 11 each morning. Is fatigue a side effect of effexor? Colud my fatigue be related to something else?

Yes, I had one day fever 100.5 and very sore throat and developed full blown cold but fever I suspect was symptom for inflammation coming on. Because following mild neck/back/ shoulder pains, I was attacked with unbelievable painful locked shoulder joint which I believe was delayed adverse reaction from Augmentin. Never will take it again although I had it before and didn't have problem then.

I am in week 4 of the Olysio/Sovaldi combo therapy and am disappointed at the side effects I'm experiencing. Prior to starting the treatment I was very encouraged by what I was finding on the boards, especially after two bad experiences with interferon treatment and an allergic reaction to ribavirin. I was prescribed augmentin for a sinus infection and I had no side effects while taking it. I finished it 4 days ago. Starting yesterday afternoon I had clay colored stool. I thought it would pass, but it hasn't. I have very slight stomach cramps. Is this normal and my body is just recovering from the antibiotic or should I be concerned?

I used both, and found that side effects are similar; tiredness, weight gain, and a slow pulse. Side effects are more pronounced as the dosage is increased. I had dosages from 25mg to 200mg. daily. Other reported effects are loss of libido, tightness in the chest, itching, irregular breathing, and irregular heartbeat. I had no side effects at all and was able to continue my XC skiing and cycling as normal. Some do have side effects like fatigue, headache and anemia but I have not heard about anything very severe with this treatment.

Also, the infection has been treated with numerous antibiotics (amoxicillin, flagyl, omnicef, augmentin, clindamycin), and all seem to help at first, but only clindamycin has lasting effects. Not even augmentin worked. Any idea on what kind of bacteria would respond to clindamycin but not augmentin?

I saw my PA today and we concluded that most of my symptoms at this point are probably Babesia and side effects of Malarone. She didn't put me on Mepron because it has to be taken with Zithromax, which I can't take because of another med I am on. She gave me another scrip for a med I've never heard of, Alinia, to take along with Malarone. But get this, my insurance only authorized 20 days worth, not the 30 that was prescribed. I don't know why.

It is a very strong drug that comes with lots of side effects. I got very sick from the effects of it and was switched to amoxicillin.
