Good day! My mother has a kind of rash for about a week now which a doctor said that it is Urticarial Vasculitis. Another doctor said that it is Erysipeloidal Cellulitis and seemed very sure of himself. The problem is that she has some problems in the lower part of her left leg (some small boils - ulcers of 1-2 cm in diameter).
I'm really bad at describing the disease, so i've taken some pictures.
4 days on augmentin 825 for a chronic dental infection (now a bone infection), I started having major swelling in my hands. This is new, I've never had swelling like this. Yesterday my one hand looked freakishly red and swollen. It was so swollen, that when I straightened out my hand (which was difficult), everything turned white, inbetween the redness.
Anyway, I tried going off the augmentin (I'm taking it in conjunction with clindamycin), and today I feel much less swollen.
About 3 weeks ago, I found pin sized bumps on my groin area just below my belt line ( i have a small beer belly so it hangs over my belt) I waited 2 weeks before going to the dermatologist, He took a biopsy and have now been in agony freaking myself out for the last 2 weeks over what it could be and my appointment is on thursday.
Sometimes it takes a while to feel lousy. Take a photo of your rashes and keep taking photos as long as there are changes. Keep all the photos -- cell phones photos are fine as long as they are clear enough to see. If the scale/size of the rash isn't obvious from the photo, then I'd hold a ruler next to the rash so the ruler shows in the photo how big the rash is. MDs get really interested when there is show AND tell. Look online for Lyme rash photos and see what you think.

I took azithromycin and rocephin injection as a precaution (before the swab results came back), and am currently taking Augmentin to get rid of the strep. I was feeling fine and healed until yesterday when my throat started to hurt again. I changed my toothbrush about 5 days into the antibiotic treatment and the next day it was hurting again. Is Augmentin good enough to treat this? Could it be coming back for some reason?
I live in an are of NJ in which Lyme Disease is not uncommon. I removed an intact tick from my left shoulder blade area about 8 months ago. I didn't develop a "bulls-eye" rash but in the center - where the tick had actually been attached - there was a very dark red-brown surrounded by a thin whitish line and then a large red area around that. The area was sometimes itchy and sore and lasted for several weeks.
After recovering from a serious upper respiratory infection (Amox with Augmentin prescribed), I broke out in a terribly itchy rash. At first it appeared to be like scabies, so was treated for that. Then, at times it was hive like (even the scratches raised up like hives). It is not everywhere, underarms, breasts, naval, lower abdomen, back. chest, shoulders, wrists, hands. There are many small bumps mixed with bigger hive like bumps. Very, very itchy. Calamine helps.
I had an abscess in my right breast 10 years ago and it left a little lump after it healed. Two weeks ago I developed an abscess in the same spot. My GP recommended a week of antibiotics (Augmentin) and it started to drain on its own two days back. I feel a thickened area which hasn't gone down. Should I be worried? The abscess continues to drain slowly and I have covered it with sterilized gauze. Please help.
-like marks ... and the raised nature of the rash. I never had a rash with Lyme, but the photos I have seen are flatter, redder, and seem ... thinner. You can search on google under images for 'lyme rash'. There are a ton of them.
If the doc can't tell from the tests whether he thinks it's Lyme, then the good news is that you saw the bite and acted right away, so antibiotics would stand a very good chance of heading off trouble.
I was wondering if anyone else has taken Augmentin. I was prescribed it for a double ear infection. Originally I was given acetic acid drops but they aren't working.
I plan on calling my OB in the morning to double check. They are pregnancy category B. Although they are thought to be safe not many studies have been done on them. I'm nervous about everything. This is my first pregnancy and I am only 18.

I would just like to know if there are any stds related to my symptom? what std could cause a rash within 2 days and wont go away completely after a month? also as i mentioned symptoms consist of muscle ache, stiff neck, temperature of 37.3 C.

( Symptoms include itching especially at night, red rash in the creases that burn, red-brown single spots, my vag is a little sore, no discharge, slight tears in hood of clit and on anus, bump on perineum, everytime I use the bathroom my anus spots blood. Itching did get better after shaving. My Pap Smear came back as LSIL mild dysplasia with HPV effects. I have Herpes 1 so I tried my Val but it didnt do anything.
it was back and this time it went straight to dry inflamed mode. Augmentin did not help. In fact from all the augmentin I got yeast and/or BV. I was given flagyl which worked for 2 weeks then it all came back with a vengeance. I didn't just have vaginal inflammation but ulcerated sores in my rectum as well. I'm still suffering from that as medications didn't make it completely go away.
I went to the doctor and he had me take a **** test and he prescribed me with 14, 100mg tabs of Augmentin (Amoxicillin Clavulanate) and 10, 500mg tabs of Ciprobay, (Ciprofloxacin). After taking the antibiotics the swelling went down and returned to normal withing a couple days.
Now in March, 6 months later, after getting over a cold I received oral sex w/out a condom and sexual intercourse with a condom. This time there is NO BURNING while urinating.
Basically i have this rash on my penis that is red and raised up a little bit. Its a little bit itchy but not so bad that i feel the need to see the doctor immediately. It also doesnt match the symptoms or pictures i have been able to look up enough for me to think it is herpes. One thing to add is that i have 2 pubic follicles at the base of the penis that have never produced hair that became inflamed around the same time. I am sexually active but always use a condom.
I got it from a girl who unknowingly had a yeast infection while I was on an antibiotic known as Augmentin for a foot injury (which apparently made me vulnerable to contracting a yeast infection). He put me on dyflucan and over the counter topical cream. The dyflucan was supposed to also re stabilize my stomach bacteria because I was having horrible stomach cramps possibly due to the augmentin and the yeast infection apparently.
I have short breath, difficult breathing, chest congestion, deep tiredness, night sweat, swollen lymp node, sore throat, coating on tongue, bumps on back tongue, rash, numbness, fatigue, joint pain, headache, fever, nausea, heartburn, itch.... Seven months ago I got h. Pylori and chronic gastritis, and four months ago took antibiotics for 10 days, 9 weeks ago had unprotected anal and oral sex. 8 week after sex tested with 4 generation test and result negative.
